As we count down the days to Saturday’s Premier League kick-off, the Carlos Tevez – Sergio Aguero conundrum has become a major issue for Fantasy managers after the former’s scintillating strike and strong display against Chelsea in Sunday’s Community Shield.

Having looked at the City midfield area in Monday evening’s Technical Area piece, we now turn our attentions to the Argentine duo’s performance against the Blues but first of all, we use the Members Area Comparison Tool to gauge their respective displays over the final four Gameweeks of 2011/12 to look for the similarities within Roberto Mancini’s new formation:

      Why you got issues with Bale? As I said above, he is about the safest pick there is.

      I don't think United defence is a must have at the moment. Bale is a safe choice, one less thing to worry about. Tevez is a great price but I would still prefer the security of Aguero personally. There you go, sorted.

    'We only have Marin out injured, everybody else is okay. In terms of the new signings, Oscar has finally joined us after his Olympic Games and they are all available for Sunday,' the manager reported.

    'Oscar has only been in the building for a day and a half, so we will see. I still have to think about it for Sunday, but there will be plenty of time to play.'

    That may be at the expense of Juan Mata, who it is admitted will need a break from action at some point after a busy summer of football.

    'He has had a long summer but I will factor in a break for him at some point because it's important,' conceded Di Matteo. 'He won't be able to go through the whole year like this. We will have to plan it intelligently.'

      Thanks for the replies all. The 3m in the bank isn't solely for the upcoming transfers - it's also that I couldn't see anywhere that 1m would significantly improve. Feels better just to save 3m so I can make important transfers rather than some unnecessary minor ones.

      With the Aguero point - it's still a point of concern for me. I'm a huge Aguero fan, tipping him for top scorer, so might actually get him in for Torres after GW1.

      I'm confident that Ashley Cole will get me at least one clean sheet - very possibly even 2 - whereas Mata/Valencia could be close, even with the DGW. Don't want 3 Chelsea players as it would be too wasteful trying to get rid of them for GW3.

          Gorkss seems to be the main 4mil man from reading and I dont think any 4mil is nailed on for Norwich long term. Only Ryan Bennett until Whittaker is back from injury
