Absolutely floored with the old 'rona so there might not be as much in the way of Scout Notes tonight/tomorrow morning (will give it a bash though). You'll have to find your own way of falling asleep instead of reading those.

Your match reports are the best Neale. Mainstream reporters could learn alot from your intelligent analysis which provides us with some great underlying data for future use.

Take a day or two off there’s no massive rush for the Scout Notes with Fpl blanking next weekend.

Going without Wood really defined another declining season.

With Gakpo, Jackson (yes I bought him over Wood 2 weeks ago…really), Isak as front 3 and a potential Villa double, reckon I’ve made my bed now and should target Watkins over Wood? Stubbornly wrong or might as well?

On 78 with 7 to play - looks like i might get away with deciding not to use a chip this week. It was a mistake cancelling TC but the sudden double gameweek in 25 frazzled my head on a Friday night.

That's pretty decent. I'm only on 79 with Assman Moyes. Still quite a few left though:

Munoz, Mateta, Mbeumo, Palmer, Salahx2, VVD, Alisson, Moyes.

My original plan was TC Salah, but after the announcement of the DGW in 25, I decided to save it. And if Liverpool don't beat Spurs I can just activate the AM chip on Silva. Couldn't get to Slot because of 3x Liverpool and wasn't keen on Moyes.

    4. mookie
      • 12 Years
      1 year, 1 day ago

I think you have to look at it over multiple GWs. Big score now followed by hits and 2 Everton duds in one's team won't necessarily come out on top by GW30. Especially if this big score comes at the cost of FH in GW29, then it can't be measured until the others play theirs.

      1. mookie
        • 12 Years
        1 year, 1 day ago

What I mean is people used FTs even took hits to downgrade players to afford Slot. Salah TC probably didn't, but just like Moyes AM have 3 Pool which is most likely an extra player to remove before GW29.

        1. have you seen cyan
          • 6 Years

They also used money to buy a manager that could have been invested elsewhere.

    5. Kingy109
      • 4 Years

It's as good a start as you could get for a Slot AM in a possible banana skin fixture. But there are 4 more fixtures to go with it in play.
Horrible chip it is though - I don't like that I'm going to be nervous for 3 gameweeks and that's with the best team in the league. At least the TC crowd know it's been a decent outcome already

    6. Casual Player
      • 5 Years
      1 year, 1 day ago

I think if you went down to 0-1 transfers or even took a hit to get Slot when you were originally planning at TC, you shouldn’t be happy

If you switched to Moyes when you were originally planning TC, you probably need a result in the second game.

Everyone else should be happy enough.

These LiVARpool conspiracy theories are petulant. Every team has decisions go for and against them. But the main point is the decisions for Liverpool today were correct. It seems like some people are just looking for an angle to find the conclusion they want rather than taking all the other angles that show the opposite. Shouldn’t be surprised, kinda a reflection of life really.

I'd prefer to know exactly what doubles are next week before choosing that.

But I'd probably go A if Liverpool have a double.

I think avl & liver only the teams will have dgw

Chelsea - have palmer & dont want any other asset
Arsenal - have 2 defs. & Dont want other asset
fulham & spurs - dont want assets from them

So im pretty set and sticking to my plan

This is such a hindsight post, but in reality, IDK why it didn't occur to me that Doucoure would be a good pick. Not that I had a mid spot available for him.

I wouldn't for a second have considered Beto though, lol.

Mixed feelings as a Moyes AM chip user. Clearly happy with how that’s gone so far but even when I own Salah he’s punished me so frequently this season. Really didn’t think it was that great a double for him. What do I know… hoping he or someone else has a decent double to use TC on later in the season. Stick to the plan!

People used TC when he didn't even have a double. I'm not worried about still having TC. We got 5 games for playing AssMan, we cant pass up that opportunity. Its the optimal time to use AssMan, on paper.

12 for Moyes is a big win. If Everton somehow beat Pool, we are 30+ with 3 more games. That's a big ask to beat Pool, but we have a good starting block anyway and transfer him for 25.

Same here. I was convinced Salah wouldn’t do so great in these fixtures. Thought Bournemouth would really turn up.
I ended up not using any chip, so hoping for the LIV DGW25 so I can TC then. Still think AM is better used to chase the table bonus, so happy to wait on that.

Fair enough man. Yeah, I’m trying to target a bit of table bonus, nice thing about Moyes’ double is that he had the security of facing Leicester first

So Salah scores 16 points so far this week, triple captainers get 16 more points than everyone else

Anybody looking to triple captain a complete differential instead of one everybody owns?

Hypothetically sticking it on Kluivert in a double gamesweek and he smashes a hat trick and a goal and suddenly you've got 90 points, vast majority of the game won't have him so you're 90 points up taking away whatever Salah/whoever else others captain gets that week.

That make sense? Obviously Salah is more likely to get a brace than Kluivert is to get a hat trick but the difference is immense

Should be thrilled that your triple captain has scored 16 points but you're only gaining 16 points over literally everybody else

Such a waste in my opinion

So that would be 32 points gained

        Decent.

And the aim is to captain the player who scores the most points so maybe I'm overthinking this

But he needs 4 goals to get 32 points over everyone else

Say you triple captain Son later on. All he needs is 1 goal to match that

I would never triple captain a player literally everybody else has captain

Anyone using manager chip on Slot got 10 extra. Moyes 12 extra. TC Salah 16 extra.

The next game obviously tells us who wins of those three.

but I'm pretty sure the people who will lose out are the people not playing a chip this week.

Honestly, I probably wouldn't bother. Maybe worth getting an AM chip since they are probably 5+ places below their opponents, but spurs have too many injuries. Red flags everywhere. I don't think they'll get that many points even if they do have a double.

Yea, I think I agree. The only spurs player I think worth owning would be Kulu, but I have no mid spot whatsoever for him. I'd need to take out Mbeumo or someone .

Same with Fulham. I have Robinson, but aside from that, doing Mateta or Isak > Jimi does not feel like a good move.
