21 weeks , I've had Konsa. Most of it spent on my bench, no use to man or beast. Now the very week he may be called upon he goes and hurties himself. The plonker

Rule no.1 if your double is Liverpool it's not really a double is it...no Aston Villa players for me even if they didn't blank in 29

I agree. Just buy Bournemouth midfielders, they will serve you well in the long term. Having money to get a Saka, Foden or Haaland soon is gonna be very beneficial.

Yeah it’s impossible to score points against Liverpool.

Only Ipswich, Forest, United, Leicester, Spurs, Fulham, Newcastle, Southampton, Brighton, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Wolves players have returned against them so far.

How is it 'highly unlikely' when 12 teams have managed to score or keep a clean sheet against them? Half the ones mentioned aren't even as good as Villa, and I'm not even including the cup games or Champions League.

Villa are 1/3 to score and only 3/1 to win - you'd think they were a pub team going up against the Galacticos with the way some people chat on here.

In most circumstances you don't want an AV player. One of the doubles is Liverpool so low ceiling. Blank GW29 so you'll likely use a transfer to sell unless FH. You won't captain Watkins or Rogers so less appealing. Poor fixtures after double. What more do you want? Its all about probability and probability suggests unless you have multiple transfers saved up and will use FH29 it is not worth going for one

He might start vs Ipswich, if he does well his pace in behind does suit the Liverpool fixture. It's a risk. Jacob Ramsey played well again against Spurs, he's 'one of their own', it's a punt.

Wonder how long before Saka is back? Thought he was three weeks away but seems to be back on the way to fitness.

I think I'd rather have Saka and Foden over Palmer right now.

Palmer is so gonna punish me this week haha.

At least another one could be GW33, or GW36, but could be both of those plus a third GW if the GW34 postponements are moved to GW33, GW37 postponements to GW36, and Newcastle or Crystal Palace make the FA Cup Final.

For me the Bournemouth pick is just a lottery as to which one to have.

Can't see Watkins scoring v Liverpool.

So assuming he is fit, does Watkins score more v Ipswich than wood v Fulham?

I'd say yes, but maybe not by much.

Moooo i mean agreed that’s why I’d prefer to have the penalty taking one but annoyingly priced out by 0.1.

You’re right though wood > Watkins may not end up being the best use of a FT I am just falling for the hype of a DGW.

There wasn’t really as strong of a narrative about this liverpool fixture being effectively a dud for when everyone was getting Everton players in which is strange, I fancy villa to potentially do something against liverpool but that might be a hedging opinion because I have slot

        1. Salarrivederci
          • 9 Years

Agree that it is a bit strange that people loading up on Everton expects returns against Liverpool, and then people look at Villa this GW and run away like they will all score own-goals and get red carded.

But realistically it is probably more about Villa not playing in GW29 while Everton do. If Watkins/Martinez/Digne and so on played in GW29 it would be a lot easier to punt on them for the double. But many (myself included) are looking to avoid FH in 29 and then use WC in GW30.

Well said and much nicer than I would've. Some bought DCL a week in advance and now are saying Watkins can't score vs. Pool. Will be interesting to see how many of the Ndiaye punters will have him in BGW29, since they are saying he only costed 1 FT and don't have to remove him.

          • 12 Years

The problem with Villa is their defence is decimated, Martinez is never an attractive FPL option for GK, their cheap midfielders/attackers are all new to the club with unknown game time and difficult to pick one. Watkins is not fully fit, even if he is back for the double jus price likely means more then 1FT to bring him in, again not the most appealing FPL option.

Rogers for me is the only standout option.

    Salah Palmer Rogers Sarr Mbeumo
    Isak Mateta Gapko
    2FT 0.4 itb
Surely I have to FH29? As I have to sell Palmer as well for a decent team

A.Sarr to Kluivert (who to bench?). Probably Mbeumo as Brentford score at home generally although Palace score more away, so maybe Mateta).
    B.Trent i(if out) o Kerkez
    C. Trent ( if out) to VVD/Konate
    D. If Trent fit. Hall to Kerkez
    E Myko to Hudjsen (sp)

2 FT will be made. Don't even mind a hit to get some FT rolling

Rogers can be another Bournemouth as well Gapko could become Cunha down the line.

But I could even do a hit and roll all injuries being well, have 3 ft. And get some City in

It does feel there will only be 3 blank week fixtures from the FA cup draw.

You don't have to FH in GW29. You have 9 blankers and 2FT+4FT to come before the blank. If you use all 6 FTs to remove blankers and bring in non-blankers, FH can be avoided. You'll end up having 3 blankers on your bench.

A if TAA is fit which also keeps your options open for GW29 which I don't think is a guaranteed FH with the 6 below and 5FT you can get a decent 11 without selling Palmer although out may have to go Foden over Haaland depending on TV.

Don't have much money tied up except Palmer and Salah. Only 0.2 in Isak.

Thanks guys I will move to Bournemouth triple up regardless and Cunha (possibly) .

Thinking of the points for FH before and after GW with FH rather than FH alone.

      Could WC 35 with 5 FT gw34

        Trent has a chance

        Arne Slot. #LFC

        Ahead of the Merseyside derby.

‘Trent (Alexander-Arnold) has done part of a training session with us yesterday, so let's see how he is today. He will train hopefully with us again today and then we will decide if we take him to the game.’

‘Joe (Gomez), it's the same leg again where he had the injury last time, so we are still assessing that but he will definitely not be available tomorrow. It is a concern.’

Don't see why Slot takes the risk on a start when he rested Bradley over the weekend and he is more than capable to start the Derby

I'm guessing Trent starts on the bench tonight.

I think there's a glitch in FPL Team around the Assman chip, its recommending I put the vice captaincy on Slot this week lol

    Gordon, TAA => Foden, Konate

    Thoughts please.

Not seeing the appeal with Foden - Newcastle, Liverpool and Forest over next 5 league fixtures

        29th March

Decent showing from Glimt in UEL so far too - right on the edge of automatic qualification (9th)

How it works now in Fantasy CL? Who about the picks that are from top 8 teams and not playing now, are we picking these anyway?

You have unlimited transfers now and will have unlimited transfers before the round of 16.

Does FH29 into BB33, WC34 and TC36 on Isak or Wood provide a smoother path to retain value, free hit into Haaland and Co. in 29 and build a bench boost with free transfers, rather than a team for gw29?

It just looks cleaner to me.

It's what I think I will do. WC er or 35.

But I really like Glasner BOU new ars NOT AM chip 33 to 35.

      Could be epic lol

I would imagine many are in same position as me i.e have already played TC and have 3 Pool players.

Is the wise move then to:

    A) Sell 1 Pool and AM Slot
    B) play no chip
    C) keep 3 pool and AM Moyes

      A

I think you should play the chip.

Did you mean Emery, rather than Moyes?

Either way I think Slot is the play now.
