I thought the narrative from Ben Crellin at the start of the season would be there would be far fewer doubles this season?! Lesson learned - don't use TC in a SGW again lol

He's not adapted to what is happening this season with the FA Cup and probably more importantly to the league being proactive over fixture rescheduling.

Good to see it actually. He's been spoon feeding the masses for far to long. It's just for it to be mixed up a bit. I wonder if FPL caught on and that's why the prem dropped the double info the way it has. Don't forget the FPL is a big source of income for them

Now that the dust is settling...

    Pickford (+ AM: Moyes)
    TAA Gabriel Munoz
    Salah (C) Palmer Rogers Kluivert
    Isak Gakpo* Wood
    Fabianski // Mbeumo Hall Greaves

    If Watkins is fit:
    A) Gakpo/Moyes > Watkins/Emery (-4)
    B) Play Gakpo (Emery FT)
    C) Play Wood/Mbeumo (Emery FT)

Has to be Emery rather than Slot for me as I would only have 0.7m avaliable (would need 1.0m).

    But also, in general?
    1) Start Mbeumo
    2) Start Wood

Think there will be at least one double in GW36.

Don’t want to use AM in GW 32 or 33 as you will likely want to FH in GW34.

Is it so that you can’t play any other chip during the three GWs that the assistant manager chip lasts?

So one could not play AM GW30/31/32 and BB GW33 if dead ending to GW29 as one would need to WC during GW30-32…

Of course if BB would be played in DGW36 then AM could be decent in GWs32&33…

    1. Leobinsk
      • 7 Years
      9 months, 24 days ago

You could WC 28, FH 29, AM 30/31/32 then BB 33 but youd have to guess the doublers now rather than seeing the FA Cup game results. I think your section option is more sensible but still is tricky as AM will either block WC 31 or FH 34.

Why is there such a clamour to put TC on Salah? I mean I get it, he is the highest scorer in the game. But especially for those chasing I don't think he is the best option.

Save the TC for a true differential player. Everyone in the game will captain Salah regardless. So if he scored 2x goals, you would net be better off by 2x goals than everyone else.

Even if you chucked it on Haaland in a SGW and he scorer 1x goal, as most people don't have him you would net be 3x goals better off.

    1. My Name Is Prince
      • 12 Years

Not if in the same GW Salah scores two goals and everyone else captains Salah though

    2. x.jim.x
      • 11 Years
      9 months, 24 days ago

Why are you limiting Salah to 2 goals when you've just seen him get 4 in a DGW?

Are you trying to argue that you would have been better off TC'ing Haaland's 6 points than Salah's 29 last week, cos this math just ain't mathing...

      1. Tommy Template
        • 11 Years
        9 months, 24 days ago

the maths does math assuming the player you TC isn't even captained, potentially not even owned.

        1. x.jim.x
          • 11 Years
          9 months, 24 days ago

If you'd TC'd Haaland last week while owning Salah you'd get 47 points.
If you'd TC'd Salah last week while owning Haaland you'd get 93 points.

Even if you'd TC'd Salah without owning Haaland you'd be on 87, so no the maths does not math.

          1. Tommy Template
            • 11 Years

Obviously nobody is going to TC somebody with a single game in a double gameweek so that scenario wouldn't happen but there's a week coming up 28 I think for example where Liverpool face Southampton and Chelsea face Leicester. It'd be brave to go against Salah in that fixture but there's a world where he doesn't do as well as Palmer and you TC Palmer that could really pay off as everyone will cap Salah.

                9 months, 24 days ago

The last line doesn't add up I'll give you that one lol. The idea that you use the chip on a less owned and less captained player does add up provided they do a bit better than the most captained one.

                1. x.jim.x
                  • 11 Years
                  9 months, 24 days ago

Well yeah - you want your players to do better than ones you don't have. I swear people should just forget about ownership percentages because you end up reading drivel like "SGW Haaland > DGW Salah"

    3. evilfish
      • 9 Years
      9 months, 24 days ago

Well using TC on Salah got me an extra 29 points. If I had used it on anybody else that had scored less, I would have lost out, whatever their ownership.

    4. Manani
      • 14 Years
      9 months, 24 days ago

You get high rank by getting higher points. TC Salah yield the highest points.

All the differential BS only matters if you think both options is as likely to score points (not the case here)

Differential talks are just the big FPL pundits got nothing to talk about so they fill up time. Just pick the one you think score highest.

      1. Tommy Template
        • 11 Years
        9 months, 24 days ago

Its not about differentials. Its about using the chip when others won't even be scoring double points and you get triple. The damage to non-TC Salah owners was negated slightly because they had captained him.
