As this agonising two-and-a-half-week Fantasy Premier League (FPL) break approaches its final days, it’s time to assess the best players for Gameweek 30.

Our in-house panel of Marc, Sam, Neale and Tom explain their key nominations below.

ABOUT THE SCOUT SQUAD

Scout Gameweek 28 Squad

In this article series, our team discuss who they think the best players are for the upcoming Gameweek in isolation. In other words, there’s no medium-term planning involved.

The players who get the most votes are likelier to make our Scout Picks.

Each of our writers must meet the following requirements for this feature:

  • At least one sub-£5.0m goalkeeper
  • At least one sub-£5.0m defender
  • At least one sub-£6.0m midfielder
  • At least one sub-£7.0m forward
  • No more than three players from the same club

          Ah tough one then. TAA out would fund a move, but assume that comes with a hit. I used my WC for BGW29 and I’m already behind 3/4 players from those using WC this week. So it’s a risk doing WC now before confirmation of fixtures

    Everyone would be heavily invested in Palace’s players but their 32 double isn’t that great.

    So will this be a viable strategy if you’re looking for a differential strategy

        Cheers! You could hold on but I’d pull the trigger. My initial plan was 31 too and I had a good team for this week but had no City or Palace and only Isak from Newcastle. I’d WC if I were you

      It's proving very hard to get a win over the Scout Picks this season, let alone a big win, as they currently lead the overall head-to-head 19-7.

      But it has been done - Boleyn Boy recorded a 36-point triumph in Gameweek 6 largely thanks to Cole Palmer's four goals at home to Brighton. The other six managers to beat the Scouts are MathGeek, wolverine, TBos83, skipnicklee, Dubem_FC, and Crossologist. Congratulations on your wins.
