I’m in a similar situation. I was on Rogers. I think the best alternatives are Semenyo, Ndiaye and Kudus

I came on here to post about a player at this price who I can't understand why isn't on more teams.

I’m going c) I think, with N. Williams for Forest and O’Brien for Everton. Swerving Spurs mainly as I’m planning to BB GW2 and Spurs have a bad fixture then. Also going Richards, as picking 2 out of 3 from NFO, EVE and CRY each week looks to roatate well (with Esteve from BUR coming in occasionally)

Murillo for me. Best fixtures, great DC, and strong defence.
Munoz when the fixtures are better.

They all look great, tough to pick just one.
Also tough to say who has the best run of opening fixtures.

At first glace I'm thinking how the hell did you afford this. A lack of Palmer has made this a lit looking team man.

Gvardiol doesn't sound like he's fit to start the season if Pep's comments area accurate. Not sold on Piroe or Bowen up front.

A for me too. I'm starting Bowen and regardless of Bowen getting a brace or a goal I'm doing Bowen > Gyro gw2. Unless Gyro aint fit.

Really like this take on it. Anderson is insane value at 5.5, and Fernandes is going to become a very popular pick in time

I did a little extra calculation for some of these players

[DC points per start] + [clean sheet (points) per start] - [YC (points) per start] + 2 (appearance points)

Assuming players only get YCs when they start games is obviously not ideal, but I couldn't be arsed to spend a lot of time on this.

So here are the baseline pps for these players, excluding appearance points, before attacking returns and bonus points

Anderson = 1.09+0.39-0.30 = 1.18 pps
Caicedo 1.11+0.32-0.29 = 1.14 pps
Baleba = 0.97+0.26-0.19 = 1.04 pps
Fernandes = 0.63+0.29-0.09 = 0.83 pps
Ndiaye = 0.41+0.52-0.10 = 0.83 pps
Rice = 0.48+0.33-0.15 = 0.66 pps
Enzo = 0.25+0.31-0.25 = 0.31 pps

This cements Anderson as an appealing option. It also reaffirms my Baleba pick, given his lack of yellow cards compared to Caicedo and Anderson (and his lower price). Fernandes, Ndiaye and Rice benefit from fewer YCs than the DMs above them, though Fernandes' price demands he gets the vast majority of his points from attacking returns anyway. However, Rice and Ndiaye only look more appealing after this exercise, particularly Ndiaye if he's going to be bringing home plenty of additional CS points again (even more than his DC points).

Of course, this is last season's data, and things will be different this coming season

Paqueta looked like he was being asked to track back more in pre-season so his xDC might be higher this season.

I think I only like Gakpo out of this bunch

Hato is incredibly young to take on that role ; have to think its Chalobah or Josh.

Might not start every game. Havertz is there. Would have thought they would share minutes based on tactics/game state/etc

Not convinced on minimal showing so far (I know, not match fit, new team mates etc) - some positive signs, but not convinced yet.
And the last major signing from Portuguese League with a good scoring record ... Darwin Nunez
Just a little concerned that he can hit the ground running.

Liv and City in the first 5 GW; let’s see if he adapts to the PL; seems like a knee jerk due to the hype just like Sesko; better options who are seasoned points scorers. If he starts off well, consider after GW5

Unproven in a top league, has never scored in one. Might do a blinder but its a massive step up from the Portuguese league as Nunez and Felix found . . not as much time, not as much space.

Who's Georginio? Don't like Kudus or Anderson. Nice otherwise

I'm not a fan of Anderson, but I see why some people are.
You miss Chelsea, but you can't get everyone.
I think this might work. You could beef up your midfield or balance it out by selling Salah or Haaland, if needed

I'd say that's very solid. Rutter . . .hmm . . bench is going to be weak . . but its not far off mine though I left out Salah for more oompf.

I like it and hate it at the same time. Never a fan of two players from the same side.

I’m not quite on the bandwagon yet, they’ve definitely strengthened up top but there’s a good few teams who’s front 3/4 I’d rather have, plus the defence still looks shaky. I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong though

Anderson and Baleba both rely on DefCon.

So my thinking is just one of those until we see how it plays out.

I’d maybe look at someone like KDH over Anderson if you can get there.

Yes, I would downgrade MLS (he will have competition from Calafiori who is back training now) and upgrade Wellbeck to a 7.5m (Wood/Pedro) etc.

Version 2 of my draft contains Haaland and I keep going back and forth. I do wonder if Liverpool's goal involvements will continue to be shared out more when the season starts. In which case, a Haaland formation could be better to start with.

If Bruno had better fixtures I'd definitely be finding a way to include him. I would also favour Watkins over Gyok to begin with.

Only change I would consider is perhaps downgrading Mitoma to a £6m mid who is a nailed on starter, and spend the funds upgrading a defender.
