Whether it’s questions on your latest team draft, specific players, captaincy or anything in between, Scout’s Deputy Editor will tackle whatever’s thrown at him.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up.

      I'm not a Leeds fan but Gudmundsson was reportedly slightly more nailed, which is possibly why he's got a slightly larger ownership.

    Anderson or Richards for the 4.5m spot?

    It's to rotate with NFO/TOT. Looking like would I would play in GW4&5. (GW5 would be for a MID.)

      Richards 100%. People too focused on defcon to realise andersen only got 51 points last year over 30 starts, only keeping 4 clean sheets (lowest for a team to stay up). Richards has both clean sheet and defcon potential.

        I'm on Richards for now but to note Anderson gets tons of DefCon too. I agree about the Fulham CS thing but then again with Guehi on his way out, may hurt Palace too.

        They did underperform defensively though. They might do again, they might not but they are a better defence than those clean numbers. Palace are fine if Guehi stays, if he doesnt thats a huge loss to factor in

        It’s not true to say people are just looking at defcon. Fulham statistically should have had the third best defence in the league last season, only Arsenal and Liverpool had lower xGC. It’s just they were one of only two teams in the entire league to concede more goals than expected.

        It was the same with Forest the season before last. So the love for Andersen is the principle that at some point the expected stats will catch up like they did for Forest and clean sheets are on the way.

        That said fixtures aren’t great to begin will, I fully expect to own him this season but not from the start.

          Nunos got a track record of this stuff from Wolves so I think Forest will be ok at the back still even off what will probably be a worse season. Not sure about them in attack though

            Sorry my point was the season before last Forest had very strong expected defensive stats but didn’t keep clean sheets and then last season did actually get the clean sheets. So there’s potential for Fulham to do the same.

            It is quite true Forest then did the reverse, kept lots of clean sheets despite average expected stats.

    Hardly a glowing endorsement of his other CBs from Enzo. I think hes right, they have lots of not top 4 level options now and Fofana who is incapable of playing much football. I dont think the Ajax lad was part of the plan at CB or he'd surely just slot right into Colwill's spot and is probably better than the others

        I think Wirtz is a safe bet, looked central to their operations in the community shield. Most decent alternative to Salah, who looked anonymous.

        Thanks. Personally think wirtz has been pretty sharp in pre season tbh. Then with RAN im just attacking that high ceiling. As he‘s most expensive defender he can become anyone else when rotation starts to occur

    If you had Salah, Bruno and Saka in the same team would you only captain salah in the first gw?

      I'd probably only captain first week, and then he's not worth it. Wirtz cover. I'm biased though as have Saka and Wirtz but not Salah (pretty much for this reason)
