There’s not a Liverpool or Arsenal player in sight in the Scout Picks for Gameweek 3 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

We considered the Scout Squad submissions made by Neale (Editor), Tom (Deputy Editor), Sam (General Manager) and Marc (Staff Writer) before coming up with our final team.

As ever, there are certain restrictions for our picks:

  • An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
  • An overall squad limit of £100.0m
  • No more than three players per team

GAMEWEEK 3 SCOUT PICKS

GOALKEEPER

Robert Sanchez (£5.0m) gets the nod between the sticks ahead of Chelsea’s home match against Fulham on Saturday. The Spaniard has conceded just once in his two matches so far (an effort from 25+ yards, to boot), and given that Marco Silva’s side haven’t really impressed from an attacking perspective this season, a home clean sheet could well be on the cards.

      Timber not nailed when White fit - would rather spend extra on Gabriel
      Gakpo Ekiteke playing time up in the air if Isak joins Liverpool
      Spurs like to make further transfers so Johnson not nailed
      Estavao not nailed although probably plays while Palmer out

    Palmer’s price dropped?! I looked on this site’s price prediction tool at 11pm last night and I think it said something like 64% chance of dropping! So I left it until today. Now I’ve lost 0.1. Not impressed. Why do I put my trust in these things!!!!!!

    After a shocking start to season my plan with 2 free transfers is either
    Option A
    Week 3 Saka Palmer to Semenyo Sarr for team below
    Week 4 Bruno to Salah
    Week 5 carry transfer
    This would allow in Week 6 Watkins,Wirtz, Gakpo to Haaland, Reijinders, Elliot Anderson for -4 or FH 6 and pivot to Arsenal in 7

    Other option (B) is to bench Palmer in week 3 and go Saka Guiu to Sarr Wood but that probably commits me to no Salah Haaland team a bit longer

    Is A better strategy or would you suggest an alternative?

        TERRIBLE start for me after only fielding 10 men last week (including Guiu):

        Sanchez

        Murillo, Tarkowski, Konsa, Diouf*

        Salah, Bruno (C), Reinders, Rutter*

        Mateta, Watkins

        Dubravka, Palmer*, Bijol, Guiu

        2FT and thinking:
        1) Palmer -> Semenyo & start Diouf (nfo)
        2) Palmer & Guiu -> Semenyo & Pedro & bench Diouf
        3) One of the above but with a different player. I like Sarr but don't want to double up on Palace attack.

          Not fully convinced about Netos ceiling and Fulham have a good defence. Kudus is good but not sure for a free hit.

          If it were me I’d consider Neto, Kudus, De Ligt -> Bruno, MGW, and an attacking defender or maybe Milinkovic
