With Gameweek 6 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) nearing, it’s time to nail down our Scout Picks for the upcoming round of fixtures.

Our in-house team have put their heads together to produce the following selection.

As ever, certain restrictions limit us:

  • An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
  • An overall squad limit of £100.0m
  • No more than three players per team

GAMEWEEK 6 SCOUT PICKS

FPL Gameweek 6 Scout Picks: Man City triple-up 3

GOALKEEPER

Djordje Petrovic (£4.5m) is our chosen goalkeeper after three of our Scout Squad pundits included him in their submissions. The 25-year-old is playing in front of a defence that has proved to be both resolute and organised so far, and could be in line for a fourth clean sheet of the season. Leeds United, meanwhile, are yet to score a goal from open play at Elland Road. They also rank 20th for non-penalty expected goals (NPxG).

For any Sunderland supporters, if fit is Ballard nailed?

Not necessarily nailed but he might come back in due to Reinildo suspension.

      LB: Hume, Masuaku
      LCB: Alderete
      RCB: Mukiele, Ballard
      RB: Hume, Mukiele

Ah so. I still have Ballard from my point chasing in gw 2 and was quite impressed with his performance last match. Thanks for the intel.

Far from nailed, I think Mukiele was very good lately and hard to drop now. Alderete is by far the most nailed DEF though as he’s immensely good.
Ballard will probably start the next 2 with Reinaldo out

Only VdV in defence will return anything; Watkins is utterly hopeless and expensive. I’d get him out for Pedro and upgrade a defender.

I don’t think Reijnders is good when opponents have low blocks, also Newcastle defenders look ready to stop Gyokeres. One of those then, I’d bench Gyo

Going normal captain on Haaland as a safety measure. Saving my TC for a wilder punt.

Quiet a few of you on WC, and I think most CC'ers have more or less the same 15 players. Strong template no doubt.

For what it is worth - this would be my WC team if I had another WC:

(5-3-2 with the option to go 4-4-2 same GWs (playing King/Le Fee ahead of a defender like Burn/Richards this GW))

    Roefs - Dubravka
    Tarkowski - Burn - Senesi - Andersen - Richards
Salah - Fernandes - Semenyo - Le Fee - King
    Haaland - Gyokeres - Guiu

    What do you think?

    1. Ser Davos
      • 10 Years
      2 months, 9 days ago

interesting. Later on I caught your reply regarding DCs and its a fair outlook at least

Interesting team above, which extends on the theme of DCs

      1. Salarrivederci
        • 9 Years
        2 months, 9 days ago

        Thanks I guess 😉

But I actually think the likes of Tarkowski/Burn/Senesi/Anderson/Richards and a few others are better picks (long term / over a handfull of fixtures) compared to City/Arsenal defenders. All somewhat have a chance of CSs (not as high as City/Arsenal), but nonetheless decent defenses. And most important. They look very likely to give you 4+ points every GW.
Virgil should be in the back five, but can't afford the 5 big up top if I include him.

Roefs/Dubravka is just rotating since most others will play Alderete/Esteve every now and then. The save points should match the DC output there.

Does it not make more sense to TC a midfielder who at least can get defcon/clean sheets points even if no goals? Haaland basically has to score

TC is always an upside gamble. No one plays the chip hoping for a tripled 4-5pts.

I have both Gakpo & Wirtz in my FPL draft team. Should I keep both or swap one for any of these:

    Cunha
    Xavi
    Ndiaye

I’m tempted by Cunha. But I already have Bruno so 2 Utd attackers is probably not the best idea.

I dont understand Richarlison hype, he can score 10 goals next game i am not going to change my mind, he doesnt have quality for this level, 3rd choice striker who is first because of injuries, waste of a fantasy pick imo

    1. Miguel Sanchez
      • 9 Years

Has scored three already and has two very nice fixtures up coming with little current competition for his place. I’m using him as a placeholder whilst I decide between Isak and Gyokeres

      • 9 Years

I'd say the same about Bruno to be fair... Points per million Bruno is shockingly bad over the past (and still prob will be this season) still people pick him

I think price make Richarlison a good asset for the next two/three gws.

    Salah, Semenyo, Reijnders, Ndiaye (Stach)
    Haaland, Joao Pedro, Calvert Lewin
