Brentford v Man City team news: Doku benched

The final match of Gameweek 7 – and the last Premier League fixture before the October international break – sees Brentford and Manchester City square off at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Kick-off is at 16:30 BST.

TEAM NEWS

Pep Guardiola makes three changes to the team which drew 2-2 at Monaco in midweek.

Matheus Nunes, Oscar Bobb and Savinho come in for John Stones, Bernardo Silva and Jeremy Doku, who drop to the bench.

Rodri is fit to start in central midfield.

As for Brentford, Kristoffer Ajer comes in for Dango Ouattara, as Keith Andrews reverts to a back five formation.

        Well you play mainly against others though. It's more fun if everyone captains everyone different. Imo .

          Beyond captaincy gains and losses are being made everywhere. Look at Timber, Rice, Porro, Gakpo yesterday or Muñoz, Grealish, Woltemade, Ndiaye today. So much variance and points swings with the managers who have or don’t have these players.

          Captaincy is more damaging to rank, if you invest time playing the game you don’t want to roll the dice on captaincy and make things more difficult for yourself unnecessarily.

          Are you risky with your (c)? Who is your GW7 captain?

            Sorry just noticed your reply. I'm not risky at all have captained haaland.
            Last week I got 48 pts from TC haaland and 19 from the rest of the team . I am happy when I get 60 PTS but could I say I enjoyed that gw? Definitely not. I do tend to focus on the pint half empty when it comes to that game though .

            Of course points from non C players are very nice otherwise what would be the point of this game 🙂

              Yeah I see what you mean, my players aside from Haaland TC and 1 other did nothing so it’s not great in that sense. Would undoubtedly be a more fun game if captaincy was more random and we saw more chances taken. Two players shouldn’t dominate the landscape as much as they do.

          Of course, but I’m not realistically getting that with Haaland captain am I? Beating others and getting green arrows comes with the rest of your squad and having the right players at the right time.

        Quite possibly, just seems very coincidental that Haalands form dipped just as Rodri went out and magically returned just as he came back in.
