If you’re a keen user of our ever-expanding Members Area, you may have noticed some new additions over the weekend.

WHAT ARE THE NEW STATS + WHERE CAN I FIND THEM?

There are four new metrics, all of which can be found in the ‘Involvement’ tabs in ‘Player Stats’.

They are as follows:

  • Shot Share (SS%)
  • Shot Share Non-Penalty (NP%)
  • Chance Involvement (CI%)
  • Chance Involvement Non-Penalty (NP%)

They can be found under ‘Shots’ and ‘Chances’ in the aforementioned ‘Involvement’ tabs:

new Members Area

WHAT DO THE NEW STATS MEAN?

There are some explanations when you roll over each stat in the Members Area, like so:

In a nutshell, they tell us the percentage of their team’s shots a player has taken (all shots = SS%, non-penalty shots = NP%) and the percentage of their team’s chances a player has either created or shot themselves (all chances = CI%, non-penalty chances = NP%) while on the pitch.

HOW CAN THEY BE USEFUL?

Basically, they tell us how important a player is to their team’s attack and help us to identify talismen.

It’s similar to the ‘Goal Involvement’ (GI) stat but with goals being relatively rare events, shots can perhaps tell us a bit more.

For instance, here’s a comparison of Erling Haaland (£14.5m) and Mohamed Salah (£14.4m) from the first seven Gameweeks of 2025/26:

We’ll be using this stat in articles to come in the future, and we hope you find it useful in your week-to-week Fantasy research, too!

How would you rank these 4 mids medium-long term?

    1) Xavi
    2) Gordon
    3) Wirtz
    4) Marmoush

(for reference this is for FPL Draft - not thinking of bringing Wirtz into my regular team!)

I just took Kudus out actually. Everton Chelsea wont be great fixtures for them and Villa looked a little more solid.
Im with you on the front line although Mateta is still tempting.

Pope, id still rather have Sanchez for Chelsea. 0.2 less and as good fixtures.

Liverpool getting criticised far too much, they will come good after the break vs a poor Man United team, Salah doesn’t become a bad player overnight… I hope everyone sells him

I prefer Gakpo, we will come good again no doubt , but 14.5m for Salah is far too much this season

Not being criticised enough. £650m in one window and they’re rubbish. Man Utd are going to smash them.

3FT going into GW8 and I plan to play BB, WC was played in GW6.

    Transfers I am thinking:

    Romero, Bruno, Richarlison OUT
    Timber, Enzo, Wolt IN

    Donna
    Gabriel Senesi Romero
    Bruno Saka Semenyo Reijnders
    Haaland Richi Pedro

    BB: Dubravka Stach Anderson Alderete

Thoughts on the above or any alternatives? I could save 1 of the transfers and just go Romero and Richi to Timber and Foster

    Pick a pair:

    A Gakpo Reinjers

B Enzo Doku (no liverpool player)

Any reason why no defenders were priced at 6.5, would have definitely made things more interesting…

Morning from (sort of) sunny Croatia!

    Pope
    Gabriel Senesi Richards
    Saka Semenyo Sarr Minteh
    Haaland Gyokores Pedro
    Dubravka / Minteh Diouf Alderete

I wildcarded into the above team last week (0.9m ITB), which funnily enough scored a couple of points fewer that the pre-WC team after 1 transfer I'd had made (got unlucky with Munoz, Porro, Ndiaye etc) - but saved some TV and setup nicely with Saka/Sarr etc. Minteh underperformed against Wolves which was the only shame.

Was thinking about BB this week.

Dubravka (LEE), Minteh (NEW), Diouf (BRE), Alderete (WOL)

Some hard to call fixtures (CRY/BOU), & Minteh playing my GK. Feel okay otherwise?

I have 0.9 ITB I could move Minteh to Enzo/Kudus/Paqueta, or back to Ndiaye etc later.

Would you recommend that move, others, or holding? Both Anthony & Minteh are punts for short term fixture, although do appreciate NEW is tricky given he got nothing against WOL!

Morning Hazz, what brings you to my beautiful country, vacation?

Team looks more than solid, I'm on WC right now and look to wildcard to something similar. Would definitely keep Minteh due to some solid fixtures and he seems to be pretty good at defcon too

Yes, short holiday! Me and some friends are staying close to Dubrovnik. We also came for the first time two years ago (nearer Split). Been a lovely country to visit both times - friendly people, very scenic, roads are a delight to drive on.

        Thanks for the input!

I think Minteh (NEW) is a bit of an opportunity lost as it will be tough, but he is an ex-player with 2 goals in 2 games against them, but as you say until GW10 or so interesting enough.

Who's the bigger fire: VVD or Pedro?

Pedro has 2 weeks off now, and won't be a rotation worry with UCL suspension. Good fixtures to boot. Other forwards (Haaland aside) aren't flying either.

VVD is expensive for a defender and Liverpool's defense is looking leaky. Konate may be out now too. Fixtures don't truly get better until GW12 and much cheaper defenders are performing as well if not better.
