Sunday’s action brings an end to our first weekend of the season – a breathless 3-2 victory for Man City providing a fitting conclusion. Here’s our regular Members article, picking out some of the key stats from the weekend’s games…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Right, how to deal with this fallout? Okay, I have the following deadwood:

    Fabio
    Ramires
    Torres

With possibly Aguero and Lamps needing to go as well I'm already looking at some hits. The only INs I'm looking at is Michu and possibly a Utd captain option.

With Fabio, I'll keep patient. 1 GW is not enough to gauge defences. Ramires is not the worst pick but he would never have been considered were it not for the double. Chelsea players are beyond frustrating.

    The plan is as follows:

Ramires to Michu .5 in the bank

then tomorrow night, if Rooney is the man I'll get him in for Aguero. If RVP looks the figurehead, I'll happily get rid of Torres too. Lamps is a little expensive to keep over a blank and also not an exciting prospect, but if I'm not careful I'll be whacked by hits. WC saved...

I have Fabio, Lamps and Torres

      Plan to hold all atm.

McClean picked up 3 BPs, if Adam Johnson goes to Sunderland, I may bite, he's the Kolarov of mids for PPG, ridiculous

Torres didn't look bad and the easy game is still to come. Don't lose sleep over having him an extra week.

We have more or less the exact same situation. Same three players myself. Same possible plan of going Ram->Michu, and then getting a UTD captaincy for a hit.

I honestly do not know. But I am feeling its now or never, realistically, with Michu.

It's not usual to see the kind of fixtures Swansea have combined with a player going wild on his debut, with a sub 5% ownership, low price and playing OOP.

^this, coupled with an injury scare to big-hitting FW with 30-something % ownership. I knee-jerked Michu in, yes for a player who hasn't played (Pieaar). Been burned by Adam, Carroll, VDV, Ba bandwagons on the past (not all necessarily last season), so I'm taking the risk and getting on this one

Maybe all the newbies? But lessons have been learnt by me the last two seasons

Swansea playing well means the main striker should benefit

I wish I ahd stayed with my Michu pick from pre-season, but I didnt. Oh well!

Yep, be good for the rest of us in the long run though.

        I am truly shocked.

I am probably saving a transfer this week and I have Torres and Ramires and no Michu etc, but I chose my team with the first 10 weeks in mind and I wont panic from a couple of games.

A lot of it is due to a DGW and doubts over newcomers.

Selling Torres is not a knee jerk. I should never have bought him. He can score all he wants v Reading as I need the points but he's out. I'd rather have Michu than go without him.

Buying Michu is perfectly logical and not a knee jerk. If we didn't get on bandwagons we wouldn't buy anyone in form. Although I use the term myself, "knee jerk" annoys me. Buying someone in Michu's circumstances and selling someone as rubbish as Torres; that's just a logical transfer!

Missing out. *puts hand up*. But just to add, I thought nando had turned a corner and in fairness to him Chelsea were pretty poor today, he had nothing much to work off so just now it's hard to say what he will be like

I know, the way Chelsea play doesn't suit him at all. With Ramires out Mata was forced more into central midfield, sometimes picking up the ball from the backs. It's difficult for Torres to front up because he's so often coming to retrieve the ball.

Wait until you know more about the Aguero injury. Mancini said they will know in a couple of days so find out about that first then make a decision. If he is out for a while Torres (h) to Newcastle is a fine fixture to keep him in for and you can see what you need to do with Kun.

Probably Aguero -> RVP or Rooney after tomorrows game. After that Torres->Tevez for the easy GW3 against QPR. Will leave me with Mata and Ivan on the bench for GW3 though unless I take a hit.

I only have Torres, and I had originally planned to move him out in week two for Rooney. RVP's arrival may cause me hold fire on that trade. Instead Tevez, Suarez come in to the picture, or maybe even hold him, he will get lots of game time this season, and not every Chelski player can has that luxury.

I'm sure this was brought up already, but I don't understand why there would be any discrepancy between our GW1 rank and our overall rank? Surely they're one in the same at this point, no? My overall rank is actually higher, so somehow 17 people have a better GW1 score than me, but I'm higher than them overall...?

It won't. He will hit double figures for goals this season IMO. I know QPR were poor, but he looks really good at finding pockets of space in and around the penalty area.

I don't know to be honest. I just know I'll want to puke all over myself if he gets an early goal against WHM and I didn't get him in after this much debate. Always someone I decide against in the beginning (usually a Newcastle player - Ba, Carroll, Raylor) who ends up producing every week, steadily rising.

So Sahin to Arsenal looking like a done deal (and maybe Yann M'Villa too, but less certain).

I'm worried about how it could alter Cazorla's role on the pitch (the real stand out this weekend) - there's every possibility that they could play a twinned role together with Cazorla operating as the deeper of the two (and this would better match where he has played traditionally).

So I'm still not sure on who is the better pick from Arsenal. Right now until everything is confirmed it's Cazorla, I think, but with the potential for it all to be turned on it's head I'm happy to stick with my Podolski and not use up a whole bunch of transfers switching between them all until things are clear.

Arsenal is definitely where the interesting things are happening FPL-wise (because you should have got your Swansea cover sorted pre-season 😀 ).

Oh! Admittedly don't know much about Sahin, thought he would play higher up than that.

No Sahin likes to spray passes from deep while Cazorla roams around. Santi only covered deep with Malaga sometimes because their other options were dire. You've got their histories wrong.

My advice in general would be not to be too rash dismantling your teams this week. It's just one week and it takes a few before things settle and you get a real idea of teams form (one week is not significant really).

By all means it is better than nothing, but no need to go drastic for a player who might do nothing next week.

He wont be leaving my team unless a new RB is signed and has settled in.

Fixtures are reasonable and great attacking potential.

Yeah, saw a good few people suggesting it earlier, but then mind you, some of the suggested moves I have seen have been brainless.

GO, what to do about Torres + Aguero?

Aguero -> Rooney/RVP this gameweek followed by Torres>Tevez/Graham GW 3?

Definitely, happy to bench him for gw3, and his value will surely fly up after tonight.

Azpilcueta will be signed in the next few days. Could be ready to play Newcastle but don't see him starting. I'd feel dirty having a 6.5 defender on my bench in GW3 😕

Ivanovic was the first player on my team sheet, and the only one besides Petric who stayed there all the time. He's happy to stay.
