Later today, we’re treated to Newcastle vs Villa and Southampton vs United at St Mary’s. With Carlos Tevez delivering on his captaincy promised yesterday, all eyes will now be on Robin Van Persie as he takes on the Saints as United’s chief goal threat in the absence of the injured Wayne Rooney.

    People getting a bit carried away re DDG not starting...this was a known risk with DDG so doubt his owners are too phased by it.

        My logic was Fergie wanted to develop the goalie with most potential and therefore DDG play most games. Logic was flawed unfortunately but I can't complain. Wasn't expecting a cleanie today. Will transfer out when I WC.

      Gibbs looks a decent shout. Jenkinson is OK short term too but Sagna back before long. Mertesacker the same whilst Kosc is out.

        I am definitely considering Vermaelen. If they keep up the defensive output with his goal threat he'll be the top scoring defender.

    Typical Fergie dropping De Gea. He's the ultimate tinkerman but nobody gives him grief for it because he makes it work.

    I knew this would happen when I picked De Gea but it's incredibly unlucky it happened when Reading don't have a game. Still stand by DDG being a good signing for the season.

    He shows his youth during games but nobody can deny the lad has a lot of quality- much more so than Lindy
