Mark finds himself up against the powers of The Shadow this weekend as the Third Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII gets underway.

We’ll be keeping an eye on Granville’s conquerors Bulkegjengen’s bid for glory, while world number three Iyad Zahlan goes head-to-head with Batten Corrigan for a place in the final 128.

If you’ve made it through this far, scroll down to see who you’ll be plotting against in Gameweek 13.

      Silva.

Im going Valencia to Silva this week. He is so frustrating, he never gets in scoring positions and hasnt got many assists either. Silva is at the heart of everything good Citeh do, Valencia is nowhere near anything good that utd do

How does this look for Saturday? Right captain choice, sub order etc...? Have considered Mata to Silva but think I'll leave it as it is and save the transfer. Had a terrible week last week but still think this team could score big this week. The eternal optimist. 🙂

    Cuellar, Baines, Rafael
    Michu, Nolan, Mata, Bale

I am now officially Baines-less. Don't know how I feel about it yet but I like the core of my team for the long term leading into the January WC. How does the squad look?

    G: Begovic - Jussi

    D: Rafael - Cameron - Cuellar - Gorkks - Davies

M: Mata - Silva - Bale - Sterling - McAnuff (will become Maloney at some point as he rotates perfectly with Sterling)

    F: RVP - Giroud - Suarez

Ruiz has neagtively impacted on Berba according to the scouts. Im tempted by Ruiz more than Berba tbh. Not now, but after the dgw.

That was only based on the one game against Everton so they were hardly free to attack much. It certainly worked well against Arsenal.

This Theo injury has really knocked my plans. Wanted to do Yaya --> Theo this week, but with this injury plus the uncertainty of his contract situation, I'm not sure he'll come straight back into the starting xi this Saturday. Adding to this, Gervinho is now back in contention and The Ox having a fairly solid match last night (especially in the build up play for Podolski's goal).

After a previous injury this season (bruised lung), Theo was brought back slowly, obviously giving a chance for others to shine - something that would only strengthen Arsenal's hand in any contract negotiations which may, or may not, be taking place.

Im now thinking of doing Tevez to Giroud (really want Arsenal cover) this week, followed by Yaya --> Silva the week after. Giroud's made himself very integral to Arsenal's new style of play (cross, cross, cross!), or rather, Arsenal have converted to Giroud's ways.

What is better then? Giroud's more assured starts and less injury threat but what I predict will be fairly mid range but consistent points OR Walcott's habit of picking up knocks, risk of rotation but what could be potentially explosive returns?

Giroud is a nice pick but definately not better than Tevez, regardless of fixtures.

Yaya -> Valencia/Young? I'd prefer Walcott to either but with Gervinho back he's not guaranteed a start. Valencia is more nailed on out of the 2.

Yeah I agree with all those points. I would say Walcott has shown himself number one in the right but all of the factors combined (injury, competition, contract) point to staying clear.

It is possible ox can fill in elsewhere as he is very versatile. Gervinho may be on the fringes of the team anyway.

The bottom line is that Walcott scored and assisted last week against spurs and was arguably our most dangerous player. This after getting the shoulder injury. It would be difficult to explain not starting him again.

Would be so much easier in my plans to do Walcott. If prices look like they'll hold will wait to see what happens in press conference. Otherwise, think I've convinced myself in my ramble to bring in Giroud.

A solid pick. My thoughts are to bring in Ba and Walcott this week pending the conference. The alternative is Giroud and HBA which is less appealing. Trying to really milk those two fixtures.

Just looked at the tables you posted, yep Giroud looks good though Ba is about as tempting for me. Hba is the deal breaker though, walcott involvement and threat is much better.

I will prob keep Baines & Pienaar even for Arsenal game so I can save transfer, but tinkering which way to go in gw16 or so.

Which combo you see better atm
    1. Sterling (have also Puncheon) + Suarez + Aguero
    2. Silva + Berba + Suarez

Well it could be said also sterling + aguero vs silva + berba...and when I look it like this, I think silva, berbs wins.

They really are. Having delivered hundreds myself i'm stumped why so many great premier league players give really bad corners. Not saying every one of mine were gems. Only about 99% 😉
