Right, I think I had a dream that his son was a goalkeeper and was up for a transfer to a big club. but I wasn't sure if it was a dream or something that was on the news.

Now I see he does actually have a son, who is the goalkeeper for Leeds.

Have Arsenal tried to buy him?

I'd probably bench Coleman. Arsenal seem to have sorted out their defence momentarily and also on form attacking-wise. Subsequently I foresee no clean sheet no goals or assists for Coleman.

Hi guys have been too busy to keep up at the moment so as curious if there were any obvious mistakes in this team.

    Foster/Stockdale
    Djourou/Clark/Samba/Coleman/Kelly
    VDV/Nani/Fabregas/Young/Adam
    Tevez/Berbatov/RvP

I've got 0.7 in the bank. Could always change Djourou for Bardsley and I'm also considering Adam for Brunt?

stockdale-no point of having him after gw25 because scchwarzer will be back.
clark-his place in villa team is not secure yet and he is a big rotation risk.
djourou-another rotation risk if vermaelen is coming in a few weeks time.
kelly-although he is a favourite of king kenny but if l'pool buy a new lb he will be soon finding himself on the bench.

    Hi guys,

    My team is:

    Foster, Gordon
    Vidic, Evatt, Hangeland, Bardsley, Kolarov
    VDV, Nasri, Nani, Dempsey, Adam
    Tevez, Berbatov, Carroll

I was thinking of wildcarding this week, but then I wonder whether to save my wildcard as I have 2 free transfers this week? I have 3.2 in the bank.

The things I am considering this week are downgrading one of Hangeland/Kolarov to a DGW player (poss Simpson as Newcastle's run looks pretty good and he's 3.9m, so would free up some cash). But who to ship out - Hangeland/Kolarov.

Then I was also thinking about doing Carroll OUT, RVP IN.

However, I know Chelsea have a double coming up. Should I get some of their players in this week instead?

    Thanks for any advice.

Why worrying about getting in DGW players if you still have your WC yet to play, which you'll have to play before GW 27 anyway, unless it's the original WC?

    Repost - still need help

    Hi guys,

    Hart
    Evra Coleman Bardsley
    Nani VDV Adam N’Zogbia
    Rooney Torres(c) Varney

    Robinson Samba Alcaraz Albrighton

    Any suggestions?

I know the defence is pretty rotten but trying to save WC till DGW so would rather make 1 poss. 2 changes to this motley crew to get in shape for GW 25 & 26.

All help will be very much appreciated as I had gradually made up an 80 point deficit on my brother over the course of about 12 weeks for a massive chunk of it to be lost again last week :’(

Its BLATANTLY obvious that the useless mess doesn't want to be there.

I think Chelsea want to buy him yes. Liverpool selling him is a completely diferent story.

Abramovic full well knows this is the last chance to spend some big money without affecting ability to keep within UEFA's break-even rules. No doubt there will be all kinds of funny wage structures going on with huge up frot payments and lower basic wages for players coming in.

I meant that previously Carlo was stating that he hasn't full control of the team and all the transfers are made by Abramovich, Now he is into it, so more chance to happen and if there wasn't a chance of this transfer happening he definitely wouldn't go on public.

    Awwww cr@p!

I knew the best thing to do was to hold off this week and not transfer but I just couldn't help myself. I'm not sure whether it's that Friday lunchtime transfer urge or the impending RVP pricerise but, I did it:

Carroll and Vidic > RVP and Kelly

Really hope Adam transfer happens so I can drop him now.

Hoping that someone can tell me I did the right thing (for the record I am already regreting).

The 4 point hit isn't good, but it's not such a bad move. I disagree with the people saying to hold onto Vidic. I held Cole far too long, and it's just too much money to have tied up in your defence when there are so many good attackers you have to get in.

Played my wildcard last week so this is the team I have:

    Foster / Fabianski
    Rafael / Pantsil / Coleman / Alcaraz / Simpson
    Fabs / VdV / N'Zogbia / Adam / Nani
    Tevez / Rooney / Campbell

    0.9 in the bank.

Thinking of Rooney - Berbatov or VdV this week?

A question regarding the Season Ticker.

    Arsenal 1175 850 Everton
    West Ham 700 850 Birmingham

The ARS - EVE fixture is rated as light blue (favourable for Arsenal) while WHM - BIR is rated as dark blue (very easy for West Ham).

Why is the Birminghame game easier for West Ham if the away ratings for Everton and Birmingham are the same (850). Arsenal have a better home record than West Ham, so if anything the colour of the 2 fixtures should be the other way around?

Shouldn't the West Ham game be a very light red?

Just to butt in and say I can't provide much help because my ratings are self-prescribed so it's hard for me to look at the problem without going into your account...

BUT I think there's a chance you may have your numbers misconstrued, but no way for me to know without being on your account. The Everton/Brum colours you are talking about are taken from the Home (and not away) tabs -so it's at home to Everton/Brum, not Everton/Brum playing away- is that where the issue is?

Otherwise, I'm stumped without logging in as you.

Cheers Andy. They're the default values - I haven't changed them, so I have the following:

        Arsenal 1175 1150
        Birmingham 750 1000
        Everton 950 850
        West Ham 700 775

Now presumably, if Arsenal are playing Everton at home then we have 1175 - 850 (as Everton are playing away), giving 325.

West Ham are playing Birmingham at home, giving us 700 - 850 = -150.

So, how can the West Ham game be rated a darker blue (easier) than the Arsenal - Everton game???

          Ahhhh I see.... you're over-summing (that's not a word) it. I can help here.

It's much simpler than that - there's no adding/subtracting. Through the years the FFS ticker has always been based on the merit of the opponent you are facing (and that alone), so I think that might be where the confusion lies. It's as "simple" as this...

Arsenal are at home to Everton: 950
West Ham are at home to Birmingham: 750

I think (from memory, so could be wrong) 1000 is blank even as close to white as we have, so playing Everton at home are slightly light blue for you as stated and playing Birmingham at home is a deep, deep blue for you also so. It doesn't and won't calculate on the host, just the opponent.

Coincidentally, we're currently trialing even more upgrades of the ticker at the moment that are pretty sweet, if we can say so ourselves.

Oh, the simplest things often sail straight over my head.

From a fantasy football manager's point of view, I would propose that the weightings should be adjusted according to the opponent.

For instance, I'd be interested in Arsenal players if they were playing Birmingham at home, more than I'd be interested in West Ham players if they were playing Birmingham at home. You could reflect this by including the home weighting in your (non)calculation of the colour.

Anyone have any thoughts on my Season Ticker post above? It has me a little puzzled (in an anal retentive kind of way).

You can alter the values for the teams yourself so if you think they have been too generous or too stingey you can make the necessary adjustments.
Everyone is dark blue to Newcastle on mine. 😉

regardless of the values, I didn't (still don't) understand how 2 teams having the same away rating, can be a different colour when playing away from home!

It makes sense if one of the home teams is better than the other, but in this case, the Ticker is saying West Ham are better than Arsenal at home :S

this chelsea offer for torres is bizarre. Hes not worth 20 million to my mind. Not to mention hes a walking injury risk. Whoever's in charge of the blood money hasn't a clue.

That would be the bloke who used to be at Old Trafford, and who also was the one to give square-pass Ray the elbow ... 🙂

a motivated torres is world class, a price tag of 35-40m is reasonable imo

IF Darren Bent is worth 24 million, Torres should be about 73.
