As you may have seen earlier in the week, weโre now at a stage where we can begin testing a beta version of HomeCrowd comments, our new comments system, with some members of the community.
For this first phase weโre looking for a very small group of testers to ensure that we find any early compatibility issues on browsers and devices with the current steup, try out some of the basic functionality and to collect some early feedback and ideas.
This first version has very few bells and whistles aside from the ability to vote on comments, sticky comments, sort comments by rating and the addition of inline moderation tools. The latter will enable us to recruit moderators from the community for the first time and weโll be testing this out with some of our volunteers on this first phase.
On the whole, HomeCrowd currently resembles the current version very closely โ that is intentional for the first iteration. Those who help us out with some testing will get some further insight into the system and future ideas before it goes live, however.
