The Premier League fixture list is now published and available for our perusal. We’ll be working on our fixture tickers throughout the day, with the aim to get these to you as soon as possible to offer a means of analysis of the opening six Gameweeks and, if you’re a member, the entire season.

Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea boss opens with a home game against Hull before the Blues make their way to Old Trafford in David Moyes’ first home match in charge of Man United. Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge clash with Aston Villa, scheduled for Gameweek 3, has been postponed due to European Super Cup duties – if this is moved to Gameweek 1, major investment will be on the cards from Fantasy managers.

Moyes opens his tenure with a trip to Swansea and also squares up to Liverpool at Anfield in the first month – a tricky start for the defending champions, who also entertain neighbours City in Gameweek 5. City’s opening three matches look enticing, though. Manuel Pellegrini welcomes Newcastle to the Etihad in his first game in charge before City face back-to-back matches with a couple of promoted sides – a trip to Cardiff precedes a home showdown with Hull.

Roberto Martinez’s first three games in charge at Everton suggest the Toffees could be quick out the blocks. Trips to Norwich and Cardiff, with a home match against West Brom, will afford plenty optimism from the blue half of Merseyside, while Liverpool have also been handed a decent start, aside from the home game with United.

The likes of Southampton, Spurs and West Ham all look strong investment options over the opening six Gameweeks, though Villa and Swansea have been dealt a blow. Paul Lambert’s side face Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City in the first six, while Michael Laudrup’s men go head-to-head with United, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal.

We plan to focus on the schedule in further detail over the next few days, with a “Frisking the Fixtures” piece rolled out soon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Shame about Villa's fixtures, they were looking strong at the end of last season.

Every season there's alway a good cheap alternative at every position that emerges.

My guess is that, as things currently stand, your entire defence would have to consist solely of Hull, Cardiff and Palace players. I doubt you would really want that no matter how good that front 8 will be.

If Ruddy/Boruc are £9.5m it's still great value.

A top keeper would cost £6/6.5m + £4m so that's at least £10m more likely to be £10.5m.

No chance. Reina and his continued dodgy performances still kept him at £6.5 based on the club he was playing for. Mignolet the save point magnet at Liverpool will be £6m at the least, £6.5m imo.

Finally got my season ticker up and running. You can download from the sidebar on my blog at http://www.allthingsfpl.wordpress.com

There is a guide as well for anyone not sure about using a season ticker

    http://allthingsfpl.wordpress.com/2013/06/19/guide-to-using-the-atfpl-season-ticker/

I have designed it so you can apply your own opinion on fixtures strengths. You do this by going to the "tinker with your ticker" tab where you will see a configurable value box. Enter your thoughts here and see the season ticker come alive. There are recommended figures for people who aren't sure to get you started off.

    Enjoy 🙂

Just a note of caution when using it, there are over 2000 calculations built into the season ticker so don't go deleting anything or you could break it. Always refer to the "tinker with your ticker" if you feel the numbers aren't what you are looking for

Sounds about right, although it depends how much Aguero's dreadful season affects his price. He could be down to 10.

And thinking about it, Higuain is about on a par with Aguero in terms of being world quality and about to join a top team so he start the same as Aguero did - 11.0

Just a reminder to everyone of our rules around voting.

"A down vote can be used if you believe a comment is detrimental to the flow of discussion, creates a bad atmosphere or looks to provoke a negative reaction that could prove disruptive. Please do not use it if you simply disagree with a person’s point of view or they are being critical about the team you support."

Any abuses of our voting will be investigated and could lead to voting rights being disabled for anyone found to be abusing their vote. Please everyone use your votes wisely.

      GK - 4.5 + 5.0 = 9.5
      DEF - 6.5 + 4.5 + 9.5 + 5.5 = 26
      MID - 9.5 + 11.5 +8.5 + 8.5 + 6.0 = 44
      ATT - 13 + 11 + 6 = 30

Unsustainable businesses mate. They will continue to crumble in the years to follow.

What price do people expect Andy Carroll to be at start of the season?
Was in decent form towards the end of the season but his price tag was still high from starting the season at Liverpool which prohibited investment. West Ham have decent fixtures at start too.

I would guess around 7.0 - 7.5, but I think he'll miss the start of the season thanks to his heel injury, which means he'll miss the pre-season as well and probably won't be match fit for a while.

Shame really, otherwise him and Nolan would definitely be on my watchlist given their favourable starting fixtures.

Didn't realise about the injury, shame. Still think he is a decent player and West Ham is probably his level where he can flourish, the £35m price tag was a bit too much of a stone hanging around his neck at Liverpool.
