Were you off to flyer or were you let down by missed penalties, needless bookings and late consolation goals? Or even Romelu Lukaku? Yeah, the less said the better.

Either way, like Lukaku, the season is still young, and there’s plenty of Gameweeks to turn things around. To help you out, this term we’ll be providing you with a regular view of Paddy Power’s odds to add some further data to your decision-making. Here’s the current clean sheet and anytime goalscorer odds for the Gameweek ahead.

Monday night’s clash is a headline-maker in waiting and Paddy Power has Robin van Persie at evens to get his name on the scoresheet at anytime and add to his brace of superb strikes at the Liberty.

Chelsea have won just one of their last five visits to Old Trafford and Van Persie has six goals in 18 appearances versus the Blues. Paddy is putting his neck on the line though by giving punters their money back if RVP finds the back of the net against Jose Mourinho’s men.

Manchester City are well backed to find goals at newly promoted Cardiff and striker Sergio Aguero is the most fancied to score anytime over Gameweek two at odds of 5/6 with Paddy Power.

Tottenham’s new £26 million striker, Roberto Soldado, is up there with the Dutchman. He opened his account from the penalty spot last week and bagged himself three bonus points in the process in addition to a pair of Europa League strikes earlier today. At 4/7, Spurs are red-hot favourites to beat Swansea and Soldado is also 5/6 to find the net at anytime in Sunday’s clash.

Despite his penalty miss against Liverpool at Anfield, Stoke’s Jon Walters is surprisingly the top ranked midfielder in our odds listing. Paddy Power has him at 7/5 to score anytime when Ian Holloway’s Palace side head up to the Britannia on Saturday.

Everton’s Kevin Mirallas is ranked next at 6/4 and Theo Walcott is also well backed to take advantage of the Fulham defence at Craven Cottage in the opening match of the weekend.

Despite being without crocked skipper Vincent Kompany, City top the clean sheet odds list, and are well fancied by Paddy to escape from Cardiff with a second shut-out of the season. They are 11/10 to keep the newly promoted Bluebirds at bay.

It’s worth noting that Southampton make the top five in our list. The Saints conceded just nine goals in their last ten games at the end of last term, and face a Sunderland team who managed just three shots on target from 21 efforts against Fulham. That’s just a 14% accuracy rate and one of the key reasons why Paddy Power is offering 13/10 on no Sunderland goalscorer this week. A perfect excuse to jump on the Luke Shaw bandwagon.

The Stoke defence is also well fancied to come good – neglected in Gameweek one due to the trip to Anfield. Paddy are offering 5/4 for Mark Hughes’ men to keep a clean sheet at home to Crystal Palace who struggled to make an impact against Spurs last time out.

Robert Huth and Ryan Shawcross, as always, offer a tempting goal threat with odds of 6/1 and 8/1 respectively for an anytime goal.

Cole -> Zab for a hit is tempting me more and more, think Zab would recoup the 4 points over the next couple of gameweeks. On the other hand, the 0,5 mil getting freed up from that move would have let me get in Sturridge for Lukaku the other night, instead of going with Dzeko. Moral of the story: unclear. "Don't make midweek transfers", I suppose...

Does anyone ever pick a player because he really annoys you when he does well?

Mine is Nolan, considering getting him in this week just because it annoys me when he scores well.

    Weird logic?

My reasoning is that WHM was so shocking on the road last year that starting the other two seems the easy decision.

Further, despite the two goals NOR looked terrible on the offensive end & HUL wasn't much either. (Yes, I know no one look good at Stamford)

So, let's hope its a nil-nil result for you. 😉

We’ve discussed and researched this a lot and have come to the conclusion that scoring points for assists can be very misleading and a potential cause of debate – it’s all great when David Silva plays a ridiculous through ball for Sergio Aguero but for every time that happens there’s three examples of Dzeko miss-controlling it into the path for Yaya to score."

Try not to take a hit. Be patient, get the money from Terry and Hazard's selling and sell Lukaku in GW4 for Sturridge or Benteke or Aguero or someone who has killing instinct. I don't think Dzeko and Lambert are the best option. RVW is in my watch list.

It doesn't matter. I like to more points than scared of losing his value. Though I haven't use my FT yet since I'm stuck on Silva for Hazard since I don't have City's player. OR selling Lukaku for RVW or Lambert. I don't think Dzeko is the best option, why would a rotation risk replace another rotation risk unless he can guarantee a hattrick this GW which is very little chance in away game

Is it worth it to have Barkley for 4.6 and a non-playing keeper, Boruc as the other ----OR
Is it better to have another 4.5 midfielder i.e. cabral or ward-prowse and a playing 4.5 keeper?

Your cheapest players must be nailed on, nailed on.

Reason being you could be forced into using a WC to fix the problem or worse forcing yourself to take point hits because you don't have your WC.

One game for Barkley isn't enough to make sure this is the case.

We want to use or precious transfers to find in form heavy hitters not swapping bench players who can't really help us.

Find a mid who's definitely going to play 90min week in week out.

So now that Anelka's out till September, is it best to take him out this week, even for a 4 point hit?

    Evening chaps.

Need a bit of help with my midfield
My Moses punt was a massive fail, but already used my freebie

At the moment I'm starting Kim v City and Snodgrass is a doubt

Is it worth a hit to bring in a mid up to 6.5 and play him over Kim??

    Mignolet
    Shaw Ivanovic Chester (Rat Toure)
    Oscar Kim Silva Snodgrass (Moses)
    RVP Giroud Aspas

Kim isn't going to do anything against City, but I don't know of many good replacements for 6.5.

You could punt on a Newcastle or Southampton midfielder at around that price. Not sure who I would go for though.

        Yeah this was my thinking.
Cabaye I would have done for sure, but not now.

Sissoko is a possibility, but New looked terrible

        Lallana or Ramirez?

i just did, team had a few issues. i wouldn't take a 12 point hit. way i look at it, wildcard now, you'll be in good shape this week, no transfer next week, then 2 frees or even 3 transfers with 1 hit over international break.

Save your WC until the international break. Better to take a small hit now. You don't have enough info yet to put together a reasonable WC team.

Took a 4 point hit and transferred Ivan to Shaw and Lukaku to Dzeko.

    GW2 Team:

    Mignolet
    Shaw / Toure / Coleman
Hazard / Walcott (vc) / Mirallas / Coutinho
    Soldado (c) / Lambert / Dzeko

    Lewis / Collins / Kim / Turner

    2.5 Million in the bank.

With Liverpool playing United GW3 I assume my first priority is upgrading Toure to Zabaleta next week?

I have to admit I feel I got extremely lucking starting with W. Reid, Coleman, K. Toure and Boruc. I have the prototypical subs in B.Turner, Chester and Marshall. Used by free transfer on Walcott already and I'm not a fan of taking hits so early or using the WC. Basically I'm asking can my back line hold out and for how long?

I think we are starting to realize that MAYBE, Benteke only needs one chance to score.....Vs Arsenal the PKs were what got him points,, and from what i saw...he didn;t do much more. Vs Chelsea Weimann and Gabby were getting into great positions but defense delt with it......only when Gabby got the best of Ivan finally and Terry wasn't close enough to stop Tekkers (and Cech being beat at his near post) was only real chance he had......CS vs Villa maybe low % given his eye for goal.....I may be wrong but thats what i've seen in the first 2 Villa games.
