Rate my Team and the Projections have now been fully updated. They not only include the new arrivals from the transfer window, they also reflect the recent 25-man squads and factors such as ineligibility for fixtures against parent clubs for loan players.

The Rate My Team model has also been tweaked slightly with regards to bonus point allocation and form over the opening three Gameweeks.

Members can now view Projections for all players for Gameweeks 4 onwards, or get a snapshot of the next six Gameweeks. Rate my Team, meanwhile, allows those members playing wildcards to experiment with their lineups. Simply enter you team id and your current squad will be retrieved.

Having tweaked the model throughout the day, there will doubtless be further changes implemented and, should there be any major changes, I’ll notify you via comments.

Season memberships, giving access to Rate My Team and the Projections, are currently available for £15. View this page for details.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Kind of settled on my WC team.

    Mig / Boruc
    Coleman / Vidic / Zab / Collins / Chester
    Wally / Brady / Nolan / *** / ***
    Soldado / Sturridge / Bentekker

Worried about Midfield. How do i fill in the gap?

    a) Lamps + Hernandez
    b) Paulinho + Ben Arfa
    c) Soldado > Giroud freeing up funds for Lamps + Countinho although i dislike doubling on liverpool

Agree, and like the fact others will be spending big in defence but the trend is bound to change soon.

If you do (a) AND (c) you have nailed the FFS template team, which requires Mignolet (the template has a 4.0 GK but looks like you are going big here), Coleman and one of Vidic/Zab/CHE, Chester, Walcott, Lampard, P.Hernandez, Brady, and the sacred front 3 (Giroud/Benteke/Sturridge). Apparently 3 games has convinced everyone on FFS that no other forwards are worthy.

    4-3-3. Too weak in midfield?

    Mignolet (4.0)
    Zabaleta, Coleman, Dawson, Koscielny (Chester)
Walcott, Nolan, Ben Arfa (Brady, Ward-Prowse)
    van Persie, Giroud, Benteke

Tis true! I keep going back and forth between 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 but ultimately I feel like the 4th defender (Dawson) is better value than a similarly priced 4th midfielder. Also, I feel much better about Brady as a sub than a starter.

Ben Arfa has a good schedule but his history does not suggest he is a FF option. Just check. Ward-Prowse not likely to hold his place. Dawson has competition for his place now (Kaboul). If you go Sturridge for RvP (like every other FFS RMT) you can buff your midfield.

Yea, there's a million things I can do without RvP, but I want him! lol Likely I will downgrade Benteke or Giroud to Lukaku in a couple of weeks after he settles and give my midfield a boost with the freed up funds.

    WC team settled:

Yes i realise Chambers is a risk but I can easily trade to someone like Ward/4.0 should it fail. Soton are strong defensively so it is worth the gamble. I also think Walcott will benefit alot more with ozil providing more through balls where Walcott’s pace can thrive.

    Thoughts?

    Mignolet (Davis)
    Coleman, Vidic, Chambers, Chester, Baker
    Walcott, Lamela, Lampard, Barkley, JWP
    Sturridge, RVP, Benteke

    Cheers

Given ? If you are going 4.0 why not just get Boruc's back-up Gazzinga ? W-P not likely to hold his place. Lukaku sits GW4. Might try Walcott instead of Ozil, saves you 0.5 and you can upgrade W-P. Who are your bench defenders ? Prefer Mertasacker or Sagna to Kos who always seems a red card waiting to happen.

WP looks good and is getting amongst it. Basically going with Ozil as a differential and he's an assist machine. I know Lukaku sits but was 0.1 short for Lambert and I'm confident he will start, again a differential as a lot of ppl have sold him, we all know how good he can be. Bench defenders are Ward and Turner. Prefer Koscielny, much more of a goal threat. Not worried about bench at the moment as there is a lot of fire power out there. Got Entique don't need Migs, never been one for a pricey keeper. Silva and lamps are proven points scorers every season, sometimes you have to be patient.

who are your two bench defenders? do you have any money left?

Ozil to Walcott & Lukaku to Giroud would be good if you could squeeze the money out (maybe by doing Silva to Oscar?)

Lampard to Hernandez might be another way to find some extra money. I admire Lampard the player but hate the idea of picking Lampard for the FPL this season - his historical performance over the last decade does not bear out all this fanfare.

Um, check his numbers. Never less than 138 points in the last 6 years and when given 3000 min, averaging well over 200 points. If Lampard starts 27-28 games his history suggests 160-180 points.

Yes. I checked his numbers. Trend line of decline in goal scoring (despite last year's bump), assists (1 last year; 10 in the last 3 combined), and minutes. He's 35 and basically Chelsea's Giggs. There are better ways to spend your money.

A few seasons ago tevez was in excile at start of season and priced 12 million nobody selected him and his value hardly dropped all year (11.7 if I remember) on a similar basis but reversed, is rvp likely to plummet like a stone if he blanks next few game weeks due to massive ownership. It's hard to tell what percentage of his ownership r ghost teams and will ever transfer out.

Read your reply -- I'm going two heavy w three rotating and hoping the trend settles, as Zab and JE have good attacking threat. Will then hope to get two more heavy from big clubs in Jan and go 4 at the back plus 6 big attackers. The guy who didn't respond to our replies actually posted my ideal defense from Jan on.

          Yeah definitely, just my opinion.

I think it's good but I have read a lot of people saying it's the greatest show of all time and it doesn't even come close for me. Then again, I do question how many of those people have watched the likes of The Wire, Sopranos, Oz, Twin Peaks etc. since it is a lot more recent.

    Hey Guys

On wildcard this week. Please RMT

    Mignolet/4.0

    Whittakes/Zabaleta/Terry/Enrique/Coleman
    Brady/Ward/Lampard/Yaya/Walcott
    Benteke/Giroud/Sturridge

Quite a big gamble not having RVP but I really think it allows you to strengthen your team elsewhere.

Not a gamble, son, you'll be okay. Not sure about Whittaker; don't think he's nailed on. Since you'll probably start the other 4 most weeks, just go Chester or Parr. You have a "Ward" in midfield ?? Nailed the FFS template at forward, but I wonder about whether Sturridge isn't a constant injury worry despite his decent start.

Sopranos. The only show better was The Wire. Sopranos and The Wire were a cut above any other American TV shows. By a million miles.

Classic Chris Glover PL Fantasy article suggesting both that CS decreases midseason, but big teams' CS increase as the season goes on http://premierleaguefantasy.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/do-defences-really-strengthen-as-season.html

That was a great one -- I posted to Pepin last page about it. Will ship Boruc in early spring as well to get in a bigger GK, though owners w Migs might already be there.

Yeah, noticed CS decreases from a ridiculously high spike at the start of the season? That could be exactly what we're going through right now, although of course there's not very much data to go on so I wonder if the spike is just a blip anyway.

I broadly went with the 5 cheap defenders option (none of my defenders cost more than 5.1). In response to the increased bonus per CS, might upgrade one 5.0 (Toure) to Vidic soon. With the January wildcard, add Mert/Terry and Migs in goal

Yes, FFS does often make blips look like spikes. Has to be regression on its way -- just hope Mirallas and Coutinho lead the way.

As I posted to Pepin above, I'm going to go from JE/Zab/3 cheap rotating to another expensive one or two in Jan.

Toure to any of the 6.0s from a bigger club makes sense to me. If a CB w/ easy passes and goal threat from set pieces will thrive in BPS, Vidic is a good fit.

Yep that's the thought behind Vidic. Vidic and Terry have both stood out bonus wise. Good plans.

    1--Lamps 8.1 + Merts 5.5 + Collins 4.5
    2--PHernandes 6.1 + Vidic 6 + Walker/Agger 6

Your defence is awful. Defenders are scoring with the new system so check the the fixtures and upgrade to players with potential clean sheets over a short to medium period.Coleman? and Vidic fine but you must pick 3
