The Gameweek continues with just one Sunday fixture, as Southampton entertain Sam Allardyce’s West Ham at St Mary’s. Both sides go into the game off the back of 1-0 setbacks last time out and will be looking to push up to the upper echelons of the table with three points.

The managers have contrasting options in attack for today’s game. While Mauricio Pochettino has the opportunity to pair England striker Rickie Lambert with new signing Pablo Osvaldo, Allardyce is woefully short on firepower with Andy Carroll now set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines. That could well make for a cagey affair, although Lambert’s Fantasy owners will hope that their man continues his positive start to the season by adding to his opening day strike from the spot at the Hawthorns.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open for those looking for some real-time accompaniment to the live broadcast.

The team news is in and is as follows:

Southampton make three changes from the side that stumbled at Norwich last time out. Luke Shaw and Nathaniel Clyne oust Danny Fox and Callum Chambers from the full-back berths, while James Ward-Prowse makes way for Jay Rodriguez on the right of the attacking midfield three, with the former Burnley man slotting in alongside Osvaldo and Adam Lallana behind Lambert.

Sam Allardyce makes just one alteration from the Gameweek 3 home loss to Stoke. Ravel Morrison is drafted in for the injured Stewart Downing on the right of the front three, with Joey O’Brien yet again selected at left-back, consigning new boy Razvan Rat to bench-warming duties once more.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Went up 120k places with 9 points today 😯 (342k)

By far the lowest rank i've had for quite some time but 1 big week could turn that around. Those 9 points go to show that!

Cheers mate, I have just done a WC and am hoping to add even more value to my team before start of next GW. I have all those guys you mentioned in the team already so hopefully will come to fruition.

        Have got

        Mignolet | Boruc

Coleman | Zabaleta | Dawson | Jose Enrique | Whittaker

        Ozil | Eriksen | Barkley | Ramsey | HBA

        Giroud | Benteke | Sturridge

Although this is not my intended team at the end of the week.

Confused what to do with this team

    Mignolet / Lewis
    Touré / Moxey / Lescott / Chester / Collins
Walcott / Lampard / Whittingham / Ben Arfa / Williams
Benteke / Soldado / van Persie

1 FT, £1.1m in the bank.

    A) Soldado---> Giroud (Gives me good captaincy option next week, not to mention price rises)
    B) Save Ft. Do Soldado----> Suarez, Lescott---->5.3m def (gw6)

Save free transfer. Soldado v Cardiff away is not a terrible fixture.

I would start swapping out Toure and Lescott as I don't think they will be guaranteed starts. Also like you say, Soldao to Giroud once you know he is fit for next GW.

biggest conundrum is picking CBs or FBs me thinks. Obviously, that doesn't include other factors with rotation and so on.

Not much between them imo, I would be inclined to get the cheapest route in to the team unless you have cash to burn.

    RMWCT pls

    Mignonelt/Boruc
    Toure/Coleman/Collins/Chester/Gabbidon
    Ozil/Benarfa/Fellaini/Hernandez/Brady
    Giroud/Benteke/Sturridge

    2.9 in the bank
Thinking to get Rooney instead of Giroud.

      You going for 3-4-3?

      GK - looks good

DF - Could do with strengthening, Toure is under pressure to hold his spot with Skrtel and Sakho breathing down his neck. Would also upgrade Gabbidon to a Chelsea or Spurs defender

MF - toss up between Ozil and Walcott, Felaini -> Eriksen

      STR - Looks good

I am liking the 4-3-3 at the minute as defenders seem to be returning better points than MF at the moment.

Once that changes I will be back at 3-4-3 though. However, this is just a personal preference and I am not a pro.

Zabaleta is a good shout but may hold of for a week as they have Utd in their next fixture. I also think they will return more clean sheets once Kompany is back in the team. I personally think Walker, Vertonghen, Luiz or Ivanovic are better options at the moment.
