The podcast is back, we’ve missed you. Time once again to take the Mickey Bliss.

It’s been 4 gameweeks, including 11 doubles. Between us we’ve haemorrhaged 52 points on transfers with injuries and rotation striking at the very heart of our teams. A two-week international break has us both chomping for some fantasy action that doesn’t involve SKY TV channel 900.

No more international football or second rate cup competitions ruining our Jeff Stelling weekend fix, this is now the run-in, the final furlong, and the next eight weekends will seperate us mere mortals from the gods. Or something.

So what have we got for you? Well you’ll just have to listen in.

    With all the talk of VDV being rested for the Champions League, what do people think are the chances of the likes of Rooney, Nani and Chelsea players being rested as well, as their game is on Wednesday?

      Can't see any United or Chelsea players being rested. Both have difficult away games, and can't afford any slip-ups in the title race.

      Just to be clear - there is no confirmed reports of VDV being protected, wrapped in cotton wool, or rested against Wigan. In Harry's interview he was referring to Gareth Bale who is a doubt for the DW trip.

        Aye. Though I fear rotation/resting this gw more than most. Rvp/nasri/vdv. Think there's going to be a lot of people posting this over the next 24 hours.

    Considering an 8 point hit to the below squad this week.

    Foster
    Baines, Coleman, Kolarov
    Nani, VDV, Nasri, A Young
    RVP, Berbatov, Zigic
    Subs: Stockdale, Djourou, Kelly, Arteta
    Bank 1.2m

    GW31: Djourou, Arteta & Berba -> Luiz, Fabregas & Welbeck

    Sound ok?

        Even with all my definite non-starters (Stockdale, Kelly, Djourou, Arteta) and doubts (VDV, Nasri, Berba, Zigic)??

        I think the above 3 sets my team up ok. Would get Lamps in GW32 or 33 then.

          Berbs imo will start. And your starting midfield and defence is fine. A 4pt hit at most to cover any non starters with subs

      Its up to you, but I think Lamps is a much better use of your funds than Fabs.

      Coleman may also be out and since he's more expensive than Djourou and you already have Baines I'd look at replacing him first if that's the case.

      If Coleman is passed fit I'd be inclined to leave your team this week and do 3 changes next as they'll only cost you 4 pts and the ones you'll be getting in have better fixtures.

        I'm trying to squeeze Fabs and Lamps into my team and go lightweight up front. If I want Fabs then I have to ditch another Arsenal as already have Djourou, Nasri and RVP). Does this plan seem ok? 12 point hit over 3 weeks but am bringing in 4 doublers and I think a better squad.

        GW31: Djourou, Arteta & Berba - > Luiz, Fabs & Welbeck (8 points)
        GW32: Kolarov -> Walker
        GW33: A Young & Baines -> Lampard & Carr (4 points)

    Getting annoyed with all this VdV talk now. Got him in and don't really want to get rid.

    However, all this talk of him being rested now sows seeds of doubt in my mind.

    Personally, I don't see how 'Arry can afford to rest him with all the injuries Spurs have, but that's just me.

      Spurs have it all to play for. A game in hand over Man City and, if they win that game, it's only a point in it. Plus Liverpool seem to be making a late charge up the table. It's too risky with a tricky away game and I think he's playing

            My expected line up for this week is below:
            Foster
            Kolarov Coleman Baines
            Nasri Cahill Adam Nani
            Rooney Odemwingie Tevez
            SUBS: Begovic Barton Walker Simpson

            Feel incredibly tempted to do Tevez->RVP this week and then captaining him. If RVP is still a doubt after today's fitness test, I will get maybe Gyan. I won't be able to make the trades just before the deadline because I'll be drinking rather heavily at a mate's 18th. Thoughts?

            I used to like neymar, now he's a w*nk ... he has refused to apologise to the tartan army after branding them racists.

            Also Rangers 6 month accounts have been released today and its not looking good 🙁

            Opinions please...with 4 of the below definitely out and another 5 doubtful, I'm considering a 12 point hit over the next 4 weeks...

            Foster, Stockdale
            Djourou, Kelly, Coleman, Baines, Kolarov
            Nani, Nasri, VDV, A Young, Arteta
            Berbatov, RVP, Zigic
            Bank 1.2m

            GW31: Djourou, Arteta & Berbs -> Luiz, Fabs & Welbeck
            GW32: Kolarov -> Walker
            GW33: Baines & A Young -> Lampard & Carr
            GW34: Nasri -> Adam

              Disgusting injury list for Everton, all of those are among their most important players and they have a thin squad as it is.

                    Thanks gents for your thought, I'll stay put and wait on RVP condition, I'll captain RVP if he's fit but if I'm not sure I'll hand Surez the armband.

              nah you're good bro, Suarez might be a great differential captain, the safety relies on RVP I guess

                Thanks mate, I think I'll wait and see how fit is RVP on Wanger press later on today. I'm seriously thinking about Captain Surez for a differential but I'm on a lead in my mini league so I can go safe and cap RVP.

                  Young's points have been so inconsistant but i look at Villa's fixtures and think they've got to start getting results soon haven't they (i'm trying to convince myself knowing that if i transfer him out he'll get a hat trick lol).
                  Is it obvious that Adam will outscore Meireles? Liverpool could score a few at WBA and with Gerrard out Meireles normally does quite well.

                        ahhh OK. In that case I'd say Luiz is the best option of transfers in. If it has to be A OR B I'd go A

                    Couple of decisions I need some advice on

                    1. Play Foster and R Johnson or spread the risk with Foster and Huth?

                    2. Keep Tevez...if he doesn't play Barton comes in, that way I get to bring in Wellbeck and Lamps next week no hit ...or... play it a week at a time and get Suarez in for Tevez now....and deal with the Lamps conundrum later?
