A number of midfielders are placed under the spotlight, with Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Liverpool all serving up some strong statistics. The performance of United’s frontmen at Villa and Tottenham’s inability to find the net under the now-departed Andre Boas-Villa also come under analysis as we delve into the data.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Yaya Silva Hazard Ozil Ramsey

I now have a full compliment. Pozuelo a bit part player and aguero inj

I can now have hooper in n out depending on injuries and suspensions (Silva I'm looking at you)

Rooney is dropping too deep for my liking and Negredo could be rotated. Either way I feel yay a will be a better appointment for me. Hooper a nice differential and excellent first sub for 4 weeks at least.

two PL matches Aguero didn't start:

    Stoke 0 - City 0
    Hart
    Zab Garci Nasty Kolarov
    Yaya Rodwell
    Milner Jovetic Nasri
    Negredo

    Villa 3 - City 2
    Hart
    Zab Kompany Nasty Kolarov
    Milner Fernandinho Yaya Nasri
    Dzeko Negredo

Seems hard to speculate if they will play with one up front or stick with two. Then it's a question of pick 1/2 from the 3 of Negredo, Dzeko, Jovetic

Jovetic is just back from injury, and seems like Dzeko has been playing Europe/Cup matches (he started against Bayern, Plzen, & league cup against Newcastle) so I would guess Negredo is top of the list.

and Negredo also started both the other Champs matches against CSKA (with Aguero) Dzeko did not start

    Coleman / Wilson / Turner / Clyne / Dawson

As a long time poster on here, I have to say this is one of the worst seasons ever

After recent tweaking my team looks just so standard. Nothing special, no punts, not clever

As we have all said its the season of the casual, it makes all this talking and debating kind of pointless

    Anyone else feel like this?

I did up until Aguero got injured. Had to use a FT last week to avoid losing one! Just couldn't see any stand out players.

Things will pick up over Xmas, I think. We need the likes of Yaya and Ramsey to be rested to throw a cat amongst the pigeons.

      There will be challenges.

Injuries, suspensions, cancellations and DGWs. That's where we will overcome.

      Good managers adapt

Poor managers just shout casuals if something goes wrong.

Nah I disagree. How is it the 'season of the casuals'? There's always been players you need and you fit in differentials around them

You have Oviedo, not special or clever, but at least he's a punt.

You know yourself man, fpl seasons constantly change, you just gotta make your decisions and go forward as best you see it.

Very true. Always gotta adapt to succeed. I always start shit but slowly adapt and climb the ranks

Evening gents. This has been proper doing my head in!

0.1m short of Aguero + Ramsey > Rooney + Silva, so...

    a. Aguero + Ramsey + Vlaar(inj) > Rooney + Silva + Bardsley (-4)
    b. Aguero + Nasri > Rooney + Silva
    c. Aguero + Kacanaklic > Welbeck + Silva

Was at the Villa - Man U game and Welbeck led the line brilliantly. Could be worth a punt while RVP is out with the World Cup around the corner. Not that silly is it?

B is good and I agree, Welbeck is good to monitor at the moment. Not sure about transferring him in though just yet

Is Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup? In other words, safe to get Wally in now or wait?

    Negredo or Lukaku..

all that is going around my head now.. I am 93 points behind mini league leader, 640K OR so Negredo with lower ownership if he does better will improve my rank more. Do I copy their Lukaku or go with my gut --- which says Negredo. I have 2 EVE defence and no city after Aguero goes (not interested in Theo this GW - I have 3 Arsenal already and not worth a hit for Ozil-->Theo)

    1 - Sess + Aguero ---> Lukaku + any mid (Silva/Yaya/Hazard) (-4)
    2 - Sess + Aguero ---> Negredo + any mid apart from Hazard (Silva/Yaya) (-4)

And because silva scored the two goals last time they met fulham, i like a nice little stat to back my decision 😛

Silva in theory - but some how Yaya finds ways to score points. I'd say either one will do. Yaya on set pieces though
