Boruc - Davis
Ward - Azpi - Williamson - Demel - Chester
Haz - Yaya - Mata - Lallana - Colback
Suarez - RVP - Sturridge
2 FT, 0 in the bank.
think the first order of business will be getting rid of Colback and Williamson (not necessarily both this week) but will just be waiting until next Thursday I think to do anything to be safe..
GW29 could either be very manageable or madness..Open ControlsYou look well set up for it though with your 2 FT. Wouldn't you be better off using the frees to get rid of 2 of your 3 non-playing mids for the blank gw28 than using one on a defender when you can still field 3 at the back?
Open Controls0 in the bank is what makes it tricky, have to generate my own funds and I don't trust Newcastle defense now anyways unless they prove otherwise tomorrow
Open ControlsWhich you know they won't..but still that is a 0-2 pointer most likely and you can keep a 3-4-3 if you use it on the mids. You could hang on to Mata on the bench for 28 and shift Yaya -who may face 2 straight blanks- and Colback for a couple players for that GW.
Open Controlsyeah copy-pasting from just below:
"Keeping Mata. Will ditch RVP during the blank since his price is going nowhere. If City win against Chelsea will do the same for Yaya since I just got him pre-GW25 and I expect him to drop 0.1 or 0.2 since City will have back to back blank GWs.."Open ControlsErr..missed seeing you have RVP in there and it makes my above comment completely moot, sorry for that. Your plan seems perfectly sound to me.
Open Controls
I'd do Williamson > Olsson. Good option for GW29.
Open ControlsWill you be keeping Mata/Yaya through the blank?
Open ControlsKeeping Mata. Will ditch RVP during the blank since his price is going nowhere. If City win against Chelsea will do the same for Yaya since I just got him pre-GW25 and I expect him to drop 0.1 or 0.2 since City will have back to back blank GWs..
Open ControlsI'dget rid of Yaya and Colback this week though I'm not sure who for. Worry about who to get in for RVP next week because surely he will light up Palace

i don't know if williamson plays or doesn't, but looking at his fixtures, Newcastle have some reasonably easy/decent fixtures coming up.

Open ControlsBoruc (Mannone
Azpi Reid Kosc Kolarov (Chester)
Hazard Lallana Eriksen (Puncheon Pozuelo)
RVP Suarez Sturridge
2.6 itb 1 FTOpen ControlsOoh you got rid of Rooney. Hold tight and wait for the FA cup games to see who's playing in GW29.
Open ControlsWill probably do that thanks, I didn't want to get rid especially with Palace coming up and he usually does well against arsenal but it was hard to rationalize keeping him with this midfield role and Liverpool have some good fixtures voming up for Sturridge.
Open Controls
Interesting team. You need Reid to start next game badly..hopefully he does. Hard to advise at this point. Eriksen off early due to ineffectiveness against Everton is a concern surely with those two mids behind him. You can easily absorb gw28 and go 343 as long as you transfer out RVP. Not much help, bit confounded by that lot. Sorry!
Open ControlsI was thinking of upgrading Puncheon > to a mid at 7.5 so I can play a 3-4-3 as I have done all season, is that a good idea? Do you have any recommendations?
Open ControlsIt is tricky to say at this point not knowing what GW29 has in store for us. That plan may or may not be the play - you may have to do some sorting elsewhere and roll with Punch. That said, of the mids who are 7.5 or less, I would only fancy Mirallas or Sterling right now, neither of whom I am terribly high on unfortunately..don't like that price bracket too much right now.
Open ControlsI agree thanks for the insight walsh, I think ill just wait until after the FA cup matches and go from there
Open Controls
Anyone else get Adam last week? Feels good to have him back. Fpl legend

Open Controls@ Innsie and the Graveyard Shift Crew:
Update please?
I hit 25 from 4 with the usuals to come, and it looks like a pretty tight hit-out with McShane Value Meal.
GTS stomping it first up?Open ControlsMe and you in fistycuffs Test Eagles!
Open ControlsReckon I would have massacred you if the Pool game was off. Rest of our team is pretty similar
Open ControlsYeah i would have struggled with both SAS.
It's Silva, Dzeko, Adebayor + 2 points vs Mertesacker, Eriksen, Giroud and Sturridge
Could be close!!Open ControlsVery close. Hoping for a Suarez show tonight and Sturridge kept quiet. WOuld irk me some if you beat me due to Eriksen. He's on my bench haha
Open ControlsYeah I honestly almost benched him. If terry had played I would have gone 4-3-3 with Eriksen on the bench.
Fingers crossed he bags a brace 🙂Open Controls
Yep GTS doing well...who just happens to be my opponent...
Blue Lion having another good week following on from his crazy score last week. I normally do a recap after all the games have been played.Open Controls
Hi everyone! 🙂 So, a long story short I have a mental team at the minute (I will defend it by saying it was in order to have Aguero, RVP & Suarez together, and I haven't taken any hits recently), here it is:
Adrian
John Olsson Yoshida
Silva Hazard Lallana Noone
RVP Suarez Benteke
Bench: Mannone, Delph, Ward, Bruce
I have £3.7 in the bank, and to be perfectly honest I don't know what to do with it, do I buy one or two big defenders or a better fourth mid, or maybe even invest it in, say, Sturridge, or someone?
Any help is much appreciated! 🙂Open ControlsThis
Open ControlsYeah, so who is best to get in, a Chelsea defender for John? And then maybe get rid of Yoshida for someone else? Cheers.
Open ControlsDOnt ditch Yosh. Ditch Bruce. At least Yosh is playing for now. Did Bruce play last night?
Open ControlsI am hoping you have 2 FT? Moving forward on this assumption, I think John and Bruce out would be priority - Yoshida should be due another start. Bad week to get Coleman (or Baines if you fancy that) but think it will pay off in the long term. Him and Ivan or Azpil seems good to me and you would be left with a great overall back 5 to choose from for the foreseeable future.
Open ControlsCheers mate! I don't have 2 FT unfortunately, but I could just space it out maybe? i.e. a Chelsea def this week, and then an Everton one after that?
Open Controls
This. A CHE defender for a start.
Open Controls
Get good defenders. sort out the rest later

Open Controls
Looking to ditch Dzeko in a couple of weeks. Who would you get in around the same price? already have 3 southampton so JRod and Lambert out unless I ditch Chambers or Boruc. Have Adebayor already too. Maybe Lukaku or Traore might be worth a punt with good fixtures.
Open ControlsYeah I'm loving Everton's fixtures and when they sort out a few injuries they'll be dandy!
Open ControlsDare I say it... Shane Long?! 😯
Open ControlsImpossible to say this far in advance. Remy may come back into our thoughts when he returns from his ban...
Open ControlsYeah just musing out the options Remy a good shout
Open Controls
Maybe Mitroglou will do well too...
Open ControlsI think it has to be an upgrade. Sturridge or Aguero.
Or, I do like selling chambers and getting Lambert better than I like getting an Everton striker.
Other option that may be viable is Remy, but punting with a striker is never a great idea, especially this season.Open ControlsAgree with this. Upgrade into a higher price bracket would certainly be preferable. Why is this not an option?
Open ControlsPrice. I could maybe work towards this but getting in Aguero for Ade would be priority and likely to use up most transfers.
Open Controls
I will be upgrading to Aguero with Adebayor anyways I feel. Tottenhams fixtures start to sour around the same time. Maybe I'll have some cash to upgrade but prob not 10mil for Sturridge. And I don't really fancy that many other expensive ones.
Open ControlsFair play. At the moment would honestly be happiest with a double up on soton attack with lallana and either jrod or lambert given this info.
Open ControlsYeah I may work towards this. Chambers at 3.9 was just too tempting not to pass up.
Open ControlsI agree and he seems nailed as long as he can stop getting these little knocks. Clearly preferred over Clyne. Would look to switch Boruc even though that may be unpopular on here. Mannone/Adrian looks great right now given Hammers current form and Mannone future DGW.
Open ControlsYeah what with Mannone's bad fixtures and West Ham at the time weren't getting cleanies, I went with just Boruc.Smart move at the time. NOw looks like mannone/Adrian was a much better call. Time will tell.
Open ControlsYeah but it will be nice to have Mannone in the back pocket for GW30 and on with the double and when their fixtures turn a bit brighter. I've gone with the Mannone/Marshall rotation since the January WC and am planning on sticking with it blindly until the end of the year.
Open ControlsYeah stick it out. Good luck. I may ditch Boruc for Mannone for DGW. We will see haha
Open Controls
Thanks all. This was actually quite useful and a lot of stuff to ponder. Cheers.

Hey there lads, who do you fancy in this h2h?
Me: 2 points + Sterling + Suarez(C) + Silva
Rival: Ward + Mirallas + Yaya(C)Open ControlsGood Day All!
22 fro 4 (Kol, Kos, Mata, Silva, Suarez(c), Ade, Giroud to go) and moved 21K ranks (4 greens in a row)
Hope my good run continues 🙂
PS I wish Hull get beaten in FA Cup this weekend.
Thanks!Open ControlsOpinions on who will win my head to head draft game this week?
Me: Baines (c) + Mirallas + Eriksen + Ozil + Suarez + Bony + Jovetic
Him: 5 points + Lloris + Evra + Kolarov + Ward + Rafael + Pienaar + HoltbyOpen ControlsGot Davis (gk), Poz and Chester in the team.
Who to shift out first?Open ControlsHello lads!
Anything needs sorting in my team: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/624174/event-history/26/ for next GW?
Should I still keep Benteke after 2 blanks? Got 1 FT and 3.8 ITB.Open ControlsSimilar team to mine. I'm thinking of keeping Benteke as I reckon 2FTs will be vital next week. Newcastle aren't really in good form atm either.
Open ControlsSound reasoning. Gonna keep.
Open Controls
next GWs 12 days away..
I would keep Benteke with Newcastle & NORWICH coming up..
save the FT?Open ControlsThx. Will keep.
Open Controls
Tip on how to save ft, and/or avoid early transfers - ban yourself from totalfpl price changes and fiso crack the code websites!
Same time and avoid temptation and anguish!Open ControlsYep.. avoid temptation!!
did Mannone >> Adrian and benched Boruc as I had Yoshida too.. worth same points but wasted a FT.. now I am praying for Hull to crash out of FA cup..Open Controls
Good going GTS.. that west brom goal is there for you to thank..I would have been ahead otherewise. I think this game has slipped off my hands...
Open ControlsYesterday I was looking at Terry → Ivanovic and Brown → Collins for an FT.
I knew there was a high possibility they would score good, but instead decided to play Ward (eve) instead of one of Ivanovic or Collins.
The reason for this is because I want Terry and WReid in the long run.
Do you think it was a good decision?Open Controlsoh, and maybe just as important, I thought it was important to save the FT for the upcoming GW29 chaos
Open ControlsYeesh. Tough to ask this today mate. Time will tell surely but throwing out today's results I would rather have JT and Reid than Collins and Ivan for sure. Hopefully it comes good for you over the long term.
Open ControlsThat's exactly the thing though isn't it. We have to ask and answer these questions yesterday 🙂 if you see where I'm going.
Open ControlsI do sir and it was foolish of me to say throwing out today's result which you cannot do! You have definitely dug yourself a reasonably deep hole from which you must climb out of given the points that came flowing in for the two you opted to not bring in but I still reckon over the next 10-odd games your pair will overtake the others. I still think that Reid and Tomkins are first choice pairing and Collins will find himself back on the bench as he was earlier in the season.
Open ControlsI hope you are right about Collins (and I'm not apologizing to that b*stard for doing so either).
Ivanovic however, he worries me a lot.Open Controls
I think it might pay off in the long run.
Open ControlsCan't predict defensive goals like that. You made the right move I think
Open ControlsYou did the right thing, saving transfer was best plan for week just gone to give two for this
Open Controls
Has anyone looked into the possible gw where the gw29 games will be rescheduled? The reason I ask is because if it is early (gw31) then there is not much point avoiding the blank players as youl want them back ASAP and won't have enough transfers. If it is late then we can avoid them now and build a team towards the dgw. Been avoiding ivanovic for the past 2 weeks as I was hoping to save transfers till more info on the postponement is known this week but if I knew his dgw was 2 weeks after the blank I wouldn't hesitate to bring him in. I also believe that an early dgw changes the strategy from avoid blank players to simply field the best players that you have and bench the rest as they will have a dgw right after. You don't want to trade out hazard for aj with hazard having a dgw 2 weeks later.
Open ControlsI can think of two points...
1) The rescheduling will be down to each single game - there are several outcomes governed by progression in various cups/Europa, and already postponed games from GW28.
2) GW29 could be a good occasion to getting out someone that's not fantastic for the blank, and getting in someone much better for the later DGW
but you have a point regarding Hazard - it might not be a good choice to remove him.
Anyway, what matters is that you score the most points every GW, but how you do that is of course the tricky bit (see my post above for one example).Open ControlsThe point I'm trying to make is that it's possible that we shouldn't consider the 29 blank when making positive transfers. If you knew ivanovic and Collins would either have a game in 29 or have a dgw in 31 then you should do the transfer today rather than waiting because the blank in 29 just means an extra game in 31 and you are not really losing put
Open ControlsFair enough. But what if you could have both a player for the GW29, and for the DGW31?
Three matches is better than 0 + 2.
Thinking further then, it becomes a question of managing benched team value the best possible way, while not losing the long term perspective.
Whichever it we go for, the next cluster of gameweeks might prove very challenging for all.Open Controls
Doesn't it suck when you play pickup and someone power shoots a ball right at you from 1 meter away and all you can do is put up your hand to protect your face and your wrist gets sprained/broken so you have to type this comment entirely one handed?
Open ControlsYou have to be a FFS official member to break into top 1k overrall?
Open ControlsTo United Fans:
Saw this on a United forum:
Is anyone willing to admit they're hoping for a heavy defeat tomorrow night? As we saw at Spurs, humiliating defeats against long term rivals can be the straw that breaks the camel's back for owners that have doubts about their manager. If we're 100% certain that Moyes won't succeed then it's all about the end game. Getting rid as soon as possible. A heavy defeat against Arsenal will help this process along. Especially in the context of recent humiliations. Short term pain, long term gain.
Obviously all the people replying are saying they never want United to lose and all that pretend loyalty rubbish but I'm sure they would be happy if they were to lose and Moyes did get fired because of it....what do you guys think?!Open ControlsI dont.
United need 35M pound to sack Moyes now. Just leave him thereOpen ControlsThey're hardly likely to find a decent replacement in February, and I think the inherited defence and midfield is a bigger problem than the manager.
Open Controls
I'm gonna put my hand up and hope for a heavy defeat. Moyes has to go really. His tactics are wrong, the things he say to the press are idiotic (i dont know what we have to do to win, i dont know how we did not win that one, we'll try our best), the players don't look motivated, he keeps playing Young and puts him on corners even!! He celebrates a goal against the bottom side like he's just won the World Cup + Superbowl + Stanley Cup + Champions League.
There needs to be a shocking result that stirs the owners to action. Even if Queiroz comes in as a stop gap, it would be a breath of tactical fresh air. It's sad to see United lose, but it's sadder to see them lose the way they are playing - it's come to the point where we go into games expecting to drop points. It's ridiculous.
If there's a United fan out there that doesn't have doubts about Moyes - i'd like to meet him. In any case, I'd much rather Arsenal win the league than City or Chelsea or Liverpool.Open ControlsNiiice... Arsenal for the title, Wenger for the knighthood 😉
Open Controls
many of the fans (not "most", not "all") of Manchester United were not fans in the 1980's, or whenever it was that they were bums last.
These people (most of them young and brash) have never known their club to face adversity. What adversity they did face had scapegoats like refs, cheats, and anyone who defied or crossed the political superpower that is Sir Alex.
So all things considered, the only United fans who are old enough to have supported their team through true thick and thin are what, 40+ years old now? Much too mild-mannered to get all in a huff, for the most part, and more likely to let things play out.
I'm speaking in broad terms here.Open Controls
