End of Season Awards – Voting Now Open

Sunday drops the curtain on our Fantasy seasons, signalling that it’s time for us to free up the part of our brains dedicated to the fortunes of our squads. Our thoughts and energies can now turn to such pressing matters as DIY, gardening, cleaning the car and spending time with our partners and friends. Alternatively, we could pass the time picking the bones out of the season passed.

Let’s go for option B.

Our end of season coverage kicks-off next week, with plenty of ideas up our sleeve to help you into June and July, when the pre-season friendlies and transfer merry-go-round will have us pondering selections for the 2011-12 shift.

Things start now with our Team of the Season awards – a process we’re opening up to you guys. We’re going to be running polls to gather your views on the players that earn acclaim as the leading Fantasy Football figures this season. Just to be clear, you’re voting on those players who had the biggest impact from a Fantasy perspective – taking their points tallies, price and performances into account. Your votes will help shape our thinking for the Team of the Season awards, with coverage coming your way early next week.

We start proceedings with the voting for the Goalkeeper of the season. Few introductions are needed for the candidates on offer here, so you can get right down to the voting. You’ll find the poll on the front page above this week’s Captain Poll. Voting the goalkeeper of the season will close on Thursday morning.

  New season starts August 13th i think. Pre season starts around Mid July, maybe a tad earlier. Champions league Qualifying for Spurs this season started on Auguust 17th which was after the 1st prem game of the season.
  
  I'd expect it all to start around the same time this year too.

    I think the most helpful post was whoever it was in pre season last year put that cheap goalkeeper combo up. Think it may have been mcnulty.
    It was for that reason I got Foster in and decided to juggle cheap combos around him...and it is that reason that goalkeepers is not something I've worried about all season.

        But a quick check of Carrols poor scoring record and not wanting to play 6mil for a left back put me off.

Just had a look at the FFS cup semi final results and realized that the first semi- final will end the week on even points (after adding the bench points, if my calculation is correct of course)moreover they have both scored the same number of goals.

      Not really Had some absolute crap that I could not ship out. Stockdale for example was in my team for the entire 2nd half of the season. Every time I wanted to transfer him, more important players had to be changed so I resigned myself to playing Foster in every game. Does make a point for having 1 expensive keeper (eg Hart) in a good defensive unit and then the cheapest 2nd keeper even if he will never play.

  problem with greasemonkey is any messing around with autosubs and joke captains (a captain who you know isn't playing then your actual captain comes off the bench) ruins it. next season i think i'm going to be 100% mature so these calculations will be 100% accurate

  Close, 38 transfers. One transfer a week would be 34, using two weeks for wildcards and of course no transfer before GW1.
