End of Season Awards – Defender Voting Now Open

With almost two thousand votes now gathered in the goalkeeper of the season poll, it’s time to move our Team of the Season voting on to the defence.

Our new poll is now open on the front page. You have four votes available to you, allowing you to select the group of defenders that you feel have had the biggest impact on our Fantasy season. As before, you should take into account not only their point returns, but also their value from Fantasy perspective.

Your votes will help shape our thinking for our Team of the Season – with coverage beginning early next week. A midfielders poll will follow tomorrow evening with voting on forwards taking place over the weekend.

                  Dont like taking a hit for a def, but have to get Berbatov and have a lot of dead wood at the back eg...

                In fairness Ivanovic is a good shout, but has probably only played 15 games max at RB, pre-Luiz (and with Alex injured) he was CB with Terry most of the time. And he got 12 yellow cards which is just plain ridiculous....

            Agreed, had Rafael played another 10/15 games he'd probs have been a shoe in. As put in the article, Sagna's won the position almost by default... hardly a vintage year for right-backs.

    Defoe - for Blackpool game, which got snowed off then Captained him following week and got sent off!

    Best Transfer:
    Dempsey - 2nd DGW

    what do you think of this for an 8 point hit?

    Dawson - highest chance of a cleanie, Birmingham awful at scoring away from home. Picked up 3 baps previous game.
    Tevez - back on form after 2 in midweek and is chasing the golden boot
    Berbatov - Home to Blackpool, should be a certain starter now and even though off form, he has shown if he gets on the score sheet at all he can end up with 2 or 3.

    OUTS
    Vidic - Certain to be rested
    Zamora - Doubtful to play
    Suarez - Way less FPL potential with Carroll back in the side and Meireles probably still out.

      I always have doubts when taking hits for defenders, especially on the last day. Tevez and Berbatov would be enough.
