With the Premier League fixture list now revealed, our attentions are almost fully focused on planning ahead of the new campaign in August.

In the past week we’ve provided you with insight on the teams faced with the easiest and most daunting passage over the opening four-to-six Gameweeks and, crucially, our season ticker fixture analysis tool was made live and available to you for you to come to your own conclusions.

The Season Ticker has been part of this site for many seasons, with the members’ version steadily evolving with new features.

Some of you may be unaware of the full functionality available in the Season Ticker, so we’ve created a series of “How To†steps to guide you or inform you on what’s on offer from the Members’ version.

The eight movies below break up some of the features available, from the simple step of accessing the Ticker, right through to creating and sharing your own team ratings.

Part One – Accessing the Season Ticker Tool

Our season ticker tool is free to everyone on the site, offering a view of the next six fixtures for each team and allowing you to sort by a Gameweek to view those teams with the most difficult and “easier” fixtures.

Our first movie shows you how to access the free version of the ticker and explains how we display fixture difficulty.

Part Two – The Members Ticker – Sorting by Difficulty

The version of the ticker available to members offers far more power to assess the difficulty of forthcoming fixtures for each team by allowing you to sort by a collection of Gameweeks.

View up to nine Gameweeks at once and sort the teams to assess those squads worthy of investment. Rollover a fixture to view previous meetings to add further insight.

Our second movie shows you more…

Part Three – The Members Ticker – Navigating Gameweeks

Not only can you add and remove Gameweeks from the members ticker view, you can also navigate back and forth throughout the season so you can plan your mid-term strategies.

Planning on playing your Wildcard early? Scroll the ticker to Gameweek 4 and check out who has the best run of fixtures from that point on.

This movie shows you how…

Part Four – The Members Ticker – Applying Filters

The members ticker not only gives you a view of the overall fixture difficulty ahead of each team, we’ve also supplied filters that show the chances of goals and clean sheets for each team based on their opponents to come.

Shopping for a defender? Use the “clean sheet filter” to view those teams most likely to keep shut-outs over their next run of matches. Looking for a Luis Suarez alternative? View the “attacking filter” and the ticker will display those teams set up to score the most goals in the coming Gameweeks.

View this movie for the lowdown…

Part Five – The Members Ticker – Creating Filters

You may well think that our view of fixture difficulties are off-beam. Then why not tinker and create your own?

The members Ticker offers you the opportunity to edit our ratings to create your own view of each team, enabling you to create brand new filters and overlays.

Check out this movie for a guide on how this is done…

Part Six – The Members Ticker – Sharing Filters

If you’ve created some filters that you think offer a helpful new view of the Season Ticker, or even if you want to an opinion on a filter you’ve created, you can share them with the community.

The Tickers import/export facility makes it easy – just expand the export ratings view and cut and paste the values into an email and the recipient can use the import panel to add your ratings to their ticker and get your filter.

We show you how this works in this movie…

Part Seven – The Members Ticker – Assessing Rotations

Finding pairings of goalkeepers and defenders who rotate home and away, or even rotate favourable fixtures, can be an important factor when selecting your initial squad lineup. The members ticker offers you a handy tool to facilitate such plans.

Members can drag and drop any row on the ticker to organise teams the way they want. Sort by difficulty on clean sheets, then drag and drop rows and you can piece together those teams that offer ideal keeper or defender pairings.

View this movie to see this feature in action…

Part Eight – The Members Ticker – The Expanded View

Did you know that you can use all of the members Ticker’s features in an expanded view? In one click you can expand the view to show up to 30 Gameweeks, giving you the ability to plan your long-term strategy with Wildcards and potential transfer targets.

This video shows you how…

    Killian here from PlayON,

A quick note to apologise again for the issues being experienced on the site at present. We now have the live matchday back working correctly and as such, all pots from Rounds 1 and 2 will be paid out later today. We will be making this up to customers over the next few days.

The Round 3 All Groups game week is now live at http://www.playon.co and we will have another article here tomorrow afternoon.

Any questions just post them as replies below and I will answer them all. Thanks

        Hi GiggingOrder,
Given the teething issues with the new site over the past days, we thought it would be better to hold off with another article until all the pots are paid and things are back to normal. We are running gameweeks for each individual group in the World Cup so the picks from Groups C-H in tomorrow's article will all be relevant for those individual group gameweeks.

He's shocking by his old standards. If he get's any points it will be down to him just being there rather than any massive influence on the game. Plenty of players can do that for a lot less.

Mirror game - which two to bench?

    A) KDB (Korea)
    B) JRod (Japan)
    C) Pjanic (Iran)
    D) Di Maria (Nigeria)
    E) Rojo (Nigeria)
    F) Aurier (Greece)

Depends if you think teams through will rest key players completely, or give them a short cameo.

I would bench C and F, although it's hard to see how Greece will score

If this is true, do we believe this Suarez move could potentially be happening?!?!...Liverpool have been knocked back in their attempt to sign Falcao from Monaco. The 28-year-old wants to move to Real Madrid.

& a side note: Napoli are making a move for Swansea striker Michu, who is also wanted by Sunderland.

Speculation on many ends so it's hard to know. Apparently the Michu transfer is dependent upon Higuain leaving, possibly to Barcelona meaning they wouldn't be interested in Suarez.

It's really hard to know to be honest. I imagine the offer of Barcelona would be too tempting. Hard to know with Michu too, he's fiercely loyal to Swansea so I'm doubtful he'll leave.

While we're on the subject of season tickers, I’ve made 2014/15 home-and-away rotation tables for each of the 20 PL teams (PDF available). While this didn’t work out too well last year, as Foster/Boruc owners will recall, the right cheap home/away rotation has gained us good defensive and midfield points in previous seasons.

The Premier League fixture compilers have stuck to their usual practice of splitting the calendar into rotational blocks. There are 11 of these this time round: Gameweeks 1-2, 3-6, 7-8, 9-13, 14-21, 22-25, 26-27, 28-31, 32-33, 34-36, 37-38.

It’s therefore the lengthiest two blocks in the first half of the season (9-13 and particularly 14-21) that allow us to set up good team rotations.

Due to the unusual odd-numbered length of one rotation block (GW 9-13), some teams have an imbalance in the number of home and away matches around. In other words:
    - Burnley and West Brom play 5 out of 7 matches at home between GW 8 & GW 14
    - Hull and Aston Villa play 5 out of 7 matches away between GW 8 & GW 14

Given Aston Villa’s awful fixtures from GW 4-8, they are therefore a no-go area in Fantasy terms until GW 15.

Home-and-away rotation patterns for each club are as follows:

    Arsenal:
    ------------
    Perfect Rotation: Tottenham (38 games)
Good: West Ham (34 games), QPR (30), Aston Villa (28)
Poor: Crystal Palace (4 games), Chelsea (8), WBA (10)

    Aston Villa:
Perfect Rotation: West Brom (38 games)

Poor: Man City (4 games), Hull (8), Newcastle (8), Spurs (10)

      Try again...on the right post.

Most attacking teams of the tournament so far based on pops at goal.

      1. France 42 shots 26 on target....Benzema 15 shots 11 on target (1st)
      2. Ghana 41 shots 18 on target...Gyan 9 shots 3 on target (4th)
      3. Switzerland 35 shots 20 on target...Shaqiri. 10 shots 7 on target (3rd)

Shaqiri in my Fox team...hmm Gyan is interesting...however is on target percentage is by far the worst

Yeah not good. Depends how wide of the mark he is though. Just missing the post is a lot more promising than row Z....

Do people think Yaya will do nothing against Greece because of the family bereavement or because he hasn't looked effective in the first 2 games?

To be honest I think it's possible that this is why he's been ineffective the last 2 games. His brother didn't die suddenly so they knew it was coming.

Come guys, in a month we need to start the serious process of picking our FPL teams. In Mcshit we can't make transfers.

For Fox sake, live a little and pick differentials upfront for round 3.

        I will go first.

        Memphis Depay & Vargas
