Mondogoal Arrives At Fantasy Football Scout

Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce that we’re teaming up with Mondogoal, a new daily and weekly Fantasy Football game, for the 2014/15 season.

Mondogoal arrives as a new player on the scene, backed by two of the Premier League’s elite – Man City and Liverpool – and delivers a new experience, allowing Fantasy Managers to compete for free or for cash prizes across a range of games in any given Gameweek.

The game not only covers the Premier League; Mondogoal support both the Champions League and Europa League and run contests for all the major top flight leagues – Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Major League Soccer (MLS).

Getting involved is simple – you register an account, find a contest to join and then go about selecting your starting XI.

The basic principles will be familiar, although Mondogoal has its own scoring system which introduces new factors into play when considering your lineup. Points are awarded for completed passes, defenders benefit from interceptions gathered, while the propensity to draw and commit fouls is also key.

Each week we’ll be presenting you with our assessment of the top targets on offer ahead of each set of Premier League fixtures. Throughout the season, Mondogoal will be hosting Fantasy Football Scout contests with prize pots on offer for our visitors.

A full strategy guide, discussing the finer points of the Mondogoal scoring system and assessing how this will shape our tactics, will be published later this week.

      Don't get the fuss with Siggy.

      For me, Austin + Mata/Ramsey/Fab/Sterling etc is better than Siggy + Dzeko or similar that a lot of people are going for.

      Henderson and Sigursson
      OR
      Sterling and 4.5.
      Is this 4.5 gonna play or you bench him every week?
      It makes a difference if this 4.5 is in your start lineup with Sterling or if some other fwd or defender is gonna be in your team with Sterling.
      Since all 4.5's are shit I'd go with Siggy and someone other than Henderson.

        The 4.5 will play every 3-4 games.
        I have really really enjoyed Hendos performances so far and BR has stated that he wants a lot more goals from Hendo this term as he wants him pushing forward.

          Aha.
          Well in that case stick with him man, trust your gut.
          I must confess I haven't seen Liverpool play and my thinking is based on Suarez being gone so I expect them to score a lot less goals.
          I don't think his 30+ goals and 20 odd assists will be replaced by anyone so I expect Sturridge to score less too...
          but we'll see... 🙂

          I think overall youre spending too much, then specifically i think A has a better structure but i dont think luis will start gw1...b will leave too much value on your bench and i think u must be mental to spend 5 on a qpr defender

                  I have a few words below.
                  My defense is Evans, Caulker, Ward, Van Anholt and B Davies. 🙂
                  I only went Davies over Wilson cos i was unsure of Wilson starting place with Huth returning to fitness and I went Van Anholt over other 4.5 cos Sund defended very well under Poyet last season. I will wait and see how Swans do under Monk before investing in them...

                      I read that walker was out for 3-4 wks and that Naughton/Davies looked the likel FB's.
                      I'm really hoping that's true but am watching it this week and may switch to Naughton if needed.
                      I think Davies is such a good player though that Poch will see it and start him.
                      Dont talk to me about Stoke, was tearing my hair out before deciding to avoid them for a while. Whoever nails a place between Huth and Wilson will probably end up in my team

    I have been thinking. I think the Chelsea assets have chance for price drop even before they play.

    They play on Monday and surely some one is gonna score big in midfield or attack. The casuals will open there teams, see Hazard, Fabs, Terry, Costa (especially) having 0pts next to them and will sell them. Simple as that. They have whole Saturday and Sunday to drop.

    Totally possible if u ask me.

            I can remember QPR being awful last time out

            Check the rotation though, it's stunning. The rotation with Schmeichel is slightly worse but maybe he could be this season's Marshall, but with added clean sheets

      I'm going with Speroni/Green I think. The Forster/Green rotation is better but I just rate Palace's chances of getting a CS more. Only trouble might be if Speroni gets dropped but at least I have back-up.

    Isgrove will be the new Pozuelo, he will be as cheap as humanly possible, have some supposed attacking potential but never play aside from a few late match cameos in which he will not give your team anything but that 1 point for featuring that you so desired. I'd avoid.

    I would really appreciate some advice on my current team. I have mentioned reasons for a few selections in my current line up.
    DDG 4M (Need help with a 4m starter here)

    Vertonghen Ivanovic Hutton Cameron Clyne

    Hazard Siggy Mata Sanchez Lamela

    Bojan Rooney Zamora

    Vertonghen - Relatively easy fixtures + goal scoring threat
    Hutton - Has been in good form pre season

    Lamela - A flip between eriksen and him but since he has been playing in the hole for most of the pre season games i feel he could be a sweet differential.

    Bojan - Favourable Fixtures and has been racking em up pre-season.

    Mostly going to play a 3-5-2 formation.

          Maybe. They can both defend, so it could work. Capoue has fallen off the face of yhe earth so then maybe Sandro in there. Then there is also Holtby, on top of Bentaleb.

          It's hard to say. Bentaleb started their last game with what looked like their strongest lineup, but I don't think Paulinho or Dembele are back yet. They started with Holtby and Bentaleb, and Sandro came off the bench.

          you can make that up by spending 9m on keepers a rotating pair and trying and holding your breathe on two 4m defenders. Risky but Baines will on some days score as much as a whole back 3.

          I'm on Fletcher atm who is 5.5, I personally would in fact to Diouf > Bojan if you want coverage of Stoke and then upgrade Hooiveld who isn't nailed to one of Clyne, Ward or Caulker who are the top options at 5.0
