The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

A Chelsea defender is a must for Evs, should he downgrade Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and get a 6m Chelsea defender or downgrade Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to his team mate Aaron Ramsey to give himself 6.5m to spend.

Recently Tottenham’s Ben Davies had been ousted from his team, as again uncertainty with Danny Rose continues. Which is the best route into the Tottenham defence? Stevan Jovetic is a short term punt. Who should he replace him with should he fail to cement a place in Manchester City’s starting XI?

        Yeah that is my only worry. Tempted to cut 0.5 somewhere and just have DDG so i don't have to worry about selection and also rotating the wrong keeper..

            I had Schurrle in for about 20 mins then panicked and upgraded Caulker to Terry and downgraded him to Sigurdsson... head says Terry heart says Schurrle. 🙁

            Now watch Schurrle get a hat-trick on Monday.

      I'm not feeling the Bojan love but I know he has a following with some others on here. Team looking strong and nicely balanced.

      Not sure this will be the case but Myhill has high ownership so we might see his price plummet early.

      Ok, thanks for the replies.

      He was the one i had most concerns about. I had considered skrtel/lovren but not a fan of their fixtures. Think ill end up with Debuchy and a spare 0.5m to start.

    Toying with the idea of having all the big hitters up front and then sussing out who can make way from there and who can come into midfield when shit settles. Only worry was Young but since Shaw is injured I think that's settled I suppose.

    Thankful for any kind of feedback on my team atm!:

    Comments:
    -I really like the idea of Gerrard as a differential to all the sterling and Sturridge owners.
    -There are a lot of 4.0 defenders and there is the risk that Luis wont always start the first few games, should I spend that last 1 mil instead? I like the added flexibility of cash in the bank.
    -Any alternative 4.0s to consider? ( I am a bit wary of Hutton – As a Spurs fan I know just how horribly bad he can be)
    -At some point ill probably want Silva in there, cant see who I would take out atm.
    -As long as I have young in my team Bojan and Siggy will rotate. Maybe an overly expensive rotational pair? I have previously had Zamora in there, but I don’t want to miss out if the hype turns into reality 🙂

      Fabregas for Hazard. Then Chester upgrade to £5.0m such as Caulker. Wisdom to £4.5m such as Chambers. Giroud to Bojanor even higher to Dzeko if you have the funds.

      Wisdom is risky. Try to downgrade Lamela to Siggy/Young to upgrade Wisdowm to Caulker or someone else.

        If I'm downgrading anyone it's mata. But I just don't believe any striker priced at 8.5 or below will outscore just single one of those midfielder players and would have to downgrade two to get another big hitter in. Not worth it for me
