With Gameweek 1 concluded, itโs time to delve a little deeper into the data in our first “Big Numbers” article for members of the campaign. We analyse the display of Arsenalโs new wide man against Palace, the QPR front pairing at home to Hull, Liverpoolโs ever-improving youngster, Southamptonโs delivery under Ronald Koeman and Unitedโs weekend scorer in the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.
Morning chaps,
My current defence is:
Wisdom, Debuchy, Naughton*, Bruce*, Cahill
I need to raise 0.5m so
Should I do:
A) Debuchy -> Clyne
OR
B) Naughton -> Hutton
CheersOpen ControlsOnce you make a trade, if you change your mind say Friday night can you change it?
Open ControlsWhen do you think Rojo will be added??
Open ControlsAre Southampton being linked with any CB's? Considering Yoshida but worried they'll sign someone better in the next week
Open ControlsThey've already signed his replacement - Gardos.
Open ControlsAh was wondering who that bloke was cheers
Open Controls
We were Waiting for Gardos, but unlike the play, he has arrived!
Open ControlsIs he any good? I'm too lazy to research him at this time in the morning
Open ControlsOutstanding. Yoshida is good too, but too small, sadly.
Open ControlsToo small? Reputation? Or is 6ft2 small for a CB these days? Are you a giant? Is everyone under 10ft small? ๐
Open ControlsI am a giant, yes. 220 pounds, not all of it fat.
I mean he is slight. I am a great fan by the way, and have had him in my team.Open ControlsHe's definitely worth his price tag just not sure if he's worth the transfer when I'm gonna have to take him out in a few weeks
Open Controls
Fpl gets a bit boring on weeks like this, no trades to make ๐
But having 2 FT next week should add plenty of spice!Open ControlsIs Sanogo ruled out for this weekend or is there a possibility that he will start ahead of Giroud once again?
Should I keep Giroud or shift to Bony/Dzeko?
Another option is to downgrade Giroud to Riviere to fund Costa to Aguero(c) for GW 3.Open ControlsSorry. I only just saw it!
Cheers!
Although I'm really tempted to get Aguero in time for GW 3. Either going to downgrade Giroud to a 7.0 striker or one of my 9.0 mids to TadicOpen Controls
Sell for Bony... as per 5 minutes ago
Open ControlsCheers mate!
I assumed that since we were on a new page, I wasn't going to get any replies on my post. Should have waited a bit longer before reposting I guess.
I already have Siggy and Naylor. Triple Swansea might be overkill, no?
Also, is Bony absolutely nailed on? Or is there a chance of Gomis taking his place?Open ControlsI have exactly the same situation mate and i'm probably gonna do Giroud > Bony for a hit.
As far as i know he is nailed on. Also helps that he's proven in the Prem and on pens. All sounds grand to me ๐Open Controls
I would go for Bony, at least this GW and the next.
I am playing a 3 - 5 - 2 and am wondering a few things
1. Is Shurrle going to keep his form, or is aguero the better choice
2. Out of these 4, which 3 to play? Hutton, Clyne, Chester, DierOpen Controls1) Schurlle could be great if he was assured of starts. Chelsea have so many good players that rotation could well be a nightmare.
2) I'd play the last 3Open ControlsThat is right, Chelsea have a problem with the rotation, and i already have Hazard
RMT:
McGregor (Myhill)
Chester, Dier, Clyne (Moore, Wisdom)
Ramsey, Siggy, Hazard, Mata, Schurrle
Costa(c), Rooney (Agurero)
Mayb benching one midfielder to make room for another forward Sturridge/Agurero/Bony
Selling Shurrle would also make it possible to play coutouis
I have free transfers trough GW3Open Controls
Which one to play?
A. Wisdom away vs SOU
B. Rio away vs TOT
C. O'Shea home vs MANUOpen ControlsO'Shea
Open Controls
A) Save the transfer and hold Jovetic for another week
B) Punt on Pelle
Thanks in advance ๐Open ControlsI'd avoid Pelle if I were you Innsie..
Open ControlsA
pelle doesn't appeal to me...he is a bit like giroud (not very mobile, not quick, not a good finisher outside the six-yard box but a strong presence who leads the line well, linking play well and bringing others into the game)Open ControlsGood analysis thanks AR.
Open Controls
A. Pelle had a very quiet game, but in fairness wasn't receiving much decent service
Open ControlsHard to recieve good service when you spend the whole match rooted to the one spot as the teams only striker and being man marked but yeah I get your point ๐
Open Controls
He is another who I've considered but the folk I've talked to on here said he was a bit of a loose cannon against City.
Open Controlsworks hard but doesn't seem like a natural finisher to me ๐
Open ControlsI was at the match and if he works on his finishing he could be great. His shooting was way, way off though. Fast and strong though
Open Controls
Thanks all.
Open Controls
who is a better bet for capn..
rooney or siggy ??Open ControlsSiggy
Open ControlsUntil we see what Siggy will be like at home this time around with Swansea id go Rooney.
In his previous tenure at Swansea Siggy was far more effective away from home. This could have been anomalous, but Id be viewing it as a gamble to stick the armband on him at this point.Open Controls
RMT
Courtois
Clyne Rangel Chester
Mata Fabregas Ramsey Sigurdsson Tadic
Rooney Costa (C)
Gilks Robertson Van Aanholt WoodOpen ControlsWhy isnt there any love for Tadic on this site?
Open ControlsMatter of time i think
Open Controlsthere is...look above ๐
Open ControlsThere is. Probably too much! ๐
Open ControlsI love him so much I bought him in Fifa and captained him.
Considering captaining him this weekend in fpl.Open Controlshe's on most radars, but those playing 4 in midfield finding it difficult to fit him in with Fabregas, Sigurdsson, Ramsey/Sanchez, Eriksen, Mata, Sterling, Yaya/Nasri/Silva in the fray.
Open ControlsEveryone's 6th favourite midfielder. That's a whole lotta love.
Open Controlscrowded, expensive midfields...
Open Controls
anyone rotate H/A with Clyne and have a decent run of fixtures? thinking Caulker to Clyne and then next week O'Shea to someone that rotates H/A with Clyne if needed?
Open Controlsno need to rotate clyne ๐
Open Controlsthat is true considering his run of fixtures..
is it worth it or hold trade?
GW2 team
Speroni (Krul)
Caulker(Clyne) Cahill Debuchy/O'Shea (Wisdom, Debuchy/O'Shea)
Fabregas, Mata, Ramsey, Siggy, Young
Costa, Rooney, (Bojan)Open Controlsid say hold the trade...things change pretty quickly in fpl, 2fts can be of great use
Open Controls
Clyne doesn't need a dance partner.
Open ControlsNever put Clyne on the bench unless he is injured.
Open ControlsWhy not? He can attack far more better than any other fullbacks.
Open Controls
DDG (Myhill)
Debuchy Cahill Caulker (Coloccini, Wisdom)
Sanchez Hazard Mata Siggy (El Amadhi)
Rooney Giroud Austin
How can I improve my team? Shoul I make a transfer for next gameweek?Open ControlsGet rid of Caulker, Giroud and DDG preferable in that order. Go for Chester/Clyne, Bony and any other keeper.
Open Controls
Thoughts on my transfers next week being:
Costa to Kun
Terry to Clyne
Meaning doubling on City strikers vs. Stoke and leaving me 0 itbOpen ControlsWhy not? I was thinking something similar.. Keeping Cesc and selling Ivanovic + Costa for Bertrand + Kun (saints double up at the back for good fixtures)
Just wondering ๐Open ControlsObviously depending on how Kun does this weekend and how many minutes he gets..
Open ControlsChelsea def and striker is key for next few weeks.
Open ControlsBut a Chelsea defender takes up a large amount of budget, if Saints get 3 clean sheets in the next 7 and chelsea get 4 clean sheets in the next 7, I'd much rather have the £2mill cheaper option that got 4 points less..
I can't see Chelsea exploding over the next few fixtures surely with them facing City away, Everton away, Palace away, United away and Arsenal home all in the next 8 or 9 games.
Do you think Costa will get more goals than Kun even with those fixtures?Open ControlsEvs?
Open Controls
Ivanovic is all in one
Open Controls
Too early to bring Kun in.
Open ControlsKeep Costa. Have you no one else?
Small scouse person maybe?Open ControlsCosta over Kun anyday of the week
Open ControlsUnwise, both of your moves. Unless you need funds to bring Kun in, then downgrading Terry isn't too bad.
Open Controls
Best player to Captain for this week?
A) Hazard
B) Rooney
C) Siggy
D) EriksenOpen ControlsAfter much deliberating last night, I decided to keep Mata and forego Siggy this week, knowing that after the price rise last night the transfer would really not be worth it.
Now Siggy didn't even rise I now have another day to contemplate this argh?!!Open ControlsThere's a good post on the previous page about it...
Open ControlsWas a good post earlier from from Diva
C&P below
The simple, all-in-one guide to why Siggy did not go up in price last night:
1. FPL adjusts the required transfers boundaries each year.
2. TotalFPL and FISO don't know the changes and have to monitor early price changes to work out what is happening and what changes they need to make to their formulas.
3. Siggy would have been the first double price rise using the best approximation of last year's formula, but...
4. The formula appears to have changed fairly significantly for the second rise in a week*. We can have ideas about why, but...
5. We won't get a clearer idea until someone does rise .2 in a week and...
6. We won't be absolutely sure until there have been several .2 price rises.
*it's most likely to only apply within a Gameweek, but we can't be 100% certain yet.Open Controls
RMT:
McGregor (Myhill)
Chester, Dier, Clyne (Moore, Wisdom)
Ramsey, Siggy, Hazard, Mata, Schurrle
Costa(c), Rooney (Agurero)
Considering trading either defence for hutton, and mayb benching one midfielder to make room for another forward Sturridge/Agurero/Bony (I have free transfers trough GW3)Open ControlsAshley Young out for who?
Midfield already have
Sterling Fab Davies Siggy
ThanksOpen ControlsRamsey instead of sterling
Front 3
Sturridge Costa RooneyOpen Controls
im on my wildcard already because there were too many transfers that i needed to make, (not wanted to make).
while im at it, im reshaping my team into a 352. my midfield 5 right now is sterling, silva, fabregas, ramsey, siggy. biggest dilemma is whether i go with fabregas or mata. ill hav fab until later in the week to get his price rise, but after he goes up by .2, should i bring mata in? (who will probably have gone down in price)Open ControlsFor those who like the "Walcott" position of wide men playing ahead of the striker (FPL gold)....Sanchez, Hazard and Tadic from the weekend games stand out just lovely...
Open ControlsNot convinced Sanchez has settled at all yet..
Hazard has been in one of the worst veins of form he's ever been in for the last 6 months..
Tadic (C).Open ControlsSanchez will come good and no doubt but agreed he looks like he's not going to be an instant hit....Hard to pin down why Hazard isn't delivering, I can't see anything that's changed. Tadic could be well undervalued.
Open Controls
Anyone else noticed that FFS regulars seem to have done much better GW1 this season than they did last season. Wonder why this is?
Open ControlsNot a DGW.
Open Controls
A) A Henderson and JWP rotation based on easy fixtures + Terry
B) Tadic + 4.5 and play Tadic every week + DebuchyOpen ControlsI doubt JWP in long term. Shane Long can get his place.
Open Controls
Well at least with Suarez gone I see very interesting captain choices every week!
Open ControlsMade up my mind to keep Mata, logic has triumphed over fear.
Was waivering earlier, but points must come first
http://whichtransfer.wordpress.comOpen ControlsLooking very muxh like Jovetic to Bony this week
Open ControlsBony looks a good option. Having said that, I thought Gomis looked sharper when he came on at the weekend. Unfortunately, he is not 100% to start.
Open Controls... or on pens
Open Controls
You sure about Bony?
Gomis is just as good imo, and might start a game more than often as well.
Aren't there better striker-options?Open Controls
If you have bigger issues than mata sort them if you don't you can maybe take the risk... it is a sideways move IMO (mata->Fab) but in the short term could be better just because of the prise rise and fall.
Open Controls
Early thoughts on my starting 11. Should I go with Fletcher or Davis? I am erring towards Davis.
Cheers.
Krul
Terry, Chester, Clyne
(Davis), Sigurdsson, Ramsey, Eriksen, Fábregas
Rooney, Diego Costa, (Fletcher)
(Hutton, Caulker)Open ControlsGiven people seem to be looking forward to gw3 to bring in aguero as a potential captain against stoke..im thinking it is not going to be worth it considering he then has gw 4 arsenal (a) gw5 Chelsea (h)? If he plays a decent amount this week and potentially scores will you still bring him in with this in mind?
Open ControlsBREAKING: Hull midfielder Robert Snodgrass could be out for up to six months with dislocated knee cap. #SSNHQ
