Last season’s top two go head-to-head at the Etihad this evening as Gameweek 2 is brought to its conclusion. Both City and Liverpool go in search of a second successive win, allowing Fantasy managers the chance to assess our options in midfield and attack, with Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Daniel Sturridge looking to get amongst the goals once again.

Aguero remains on the bench for City, however, as Manuel Pellegrini makes just one change from the side that defeated Newcastle last Sunday. The City boss hands Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko the chance to lead the line again, then, whilst Pablo Zabaleta is drafted in at right-back, with Gael Clichy swapping over to the other flank as Aleksandar Kolarov drops out.

Brendan Rodgers makes a couple of alterations to the XI that started against Southampton last time around. New signing Alberto Moreno is handed a debut at left-back, with Glen Johnson shifting to the right of defence as Javier Manquillo drops out. Elsewhere, Joe Allen comes in for Lucas in the centre of the park.

          Diouf gone for Jovetic. Was planning Bego>Forster to save the value but also because Bego and Stoke have been horrific and have City looming. Keeping Blackett. But if Studge threatens to drop it will be hard not to bring Aguero in for him.

      Rank means very little at this stage. Im more concerned with getting points on the board. 125 means you've averaged 62.5 per week effectively. Id be very happy with that to build on.

      The Mata transfer isn't going to be ALL about the 0.1 for most people. It's a factor, but the biggest issue with Mata is that he's playing for Utd and Utd look terrible.

    I still think Dzeko is the most likely startee by the three (Dzeko, Jov, Aguero). Aguero and Jovetic are too similar and Dzeko adds another dimension with his physics and air strenght.

      tend to disagree there aguero is as strong if not stronger than dzeko he can lead the line no problem at all

      jovetic on the other hand would be much more creative than dzeko and looks to be pretty nailed now..
