Our first members article of the week delves into the data of the nine matches played out so far. A number of forwards come under assessment this evening, with Liverpool, United and West Ham’s new frontmen all analysed, whilst we also take a look at City’s resurgent Bosnian, Chelsea’s midfield and Swansea’s worrying lack of impact in the final third.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Worth getting Mane in if you already have Pelle? Thinking getting in Chadli atm..

Worth having a punt on Mané if u think so..

Truth is no one knows the better option.
I like the fact Mané is a bot cheaper than Tadic and looks to have a lot of potential.

We ll know who the better option is in a few weeks..

If the rumours about Sakho are true then Valencia could asctually be a very good punt for the next three weeks, he looks good according to the above articlee

Really struggling for a bench warmer this week.

    Sterling, Fabregas, ADM, Sigurdsson, Downing
    Costa, Aguero, Pelle

thinking Pelle away to spurs but he's playing so well.

Drop Fab. He knows he wasn't good enough for Arsenal cos AW wouldn't buy him so he'll be all nervous and crying and such and will be subbed early.

Best move this week? 1 FT, £0.5m in the bank. Cheers

    A. Naismith -> Ulloa (Bench Ramsey)?

I'm seeing Jedniak in a few Wildcard teams today. He was a bad FPL pick last season for anything other than 2 points off the bench. We can get that from Boyd for 4.4m this year, so why the love for the more expensive Palace player? I know he has scored two in two, but are those sorts of returns sustainable? Is he more attacking under Warnock?

Genuinely interested in any answers as I haven't seen a Palace game this year.

Correction - last year he was a good FPL pick as he was 4.5 mil and assured of 90 mins every week

      1. Diva
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 2 months ago

I did say the same - just in a different way! 🙂

        I'll rephrase my question:

Last was a 4.5m option who guaranteed 90 mins and an average of about 2 points per game.*

Now he's 4.9m and guarantee 90 minutes, but is he going to continue delivering more than 2 points or is he going to return to his usual ways?

In essence, is he playing more attacking under Warnock?

*from memory, not a statistical fact.

        1. @BigChrisso
          • 14 Years
          11 years, 2 months ago

he's scored 2 goals in 6 weeks which is a bonus. On peno's so maybe could offer the odd decent return.

If you can afford 4.9 for your 5th mid I think he's a reasonable option.

I agree that Warnock offer Palace more attacking verve

There do seem to be more goals at both ends under Warnock! Having said that, I'm going to keep an eye on that defence as they've kept two clean sheets in the last three now (albeit against promoted teams).

            Thanks!

Pretty sure he's captain, and on penalties.

Wouldn't suggest he is "more attacking", but seems to be getting more love through the system Warnock uses.

He's on penos and Palace a bit more attacking so more likely to get said penos.

Don't think he's worth it even for penos. Surely he's someone you will bench 99% of the time unless there's an emergency so you'll miss most of those penos anyways. Save .5 and get boyd imo

I think Fab might be the best on paper and long term option but with ramires out and UCL in the mix, Tadic might outscore him due to fixtures and justifiable stats. Silva cant string 2 matches together although i like him. Chadli is doing good but i feel he might dry up soon. Thoughts on this analysis?

I have to agree with you that Sturridge is a good replacement so if that is your aim then its probably worth the wait and probable 0.1 loss. You've built a healthy TV for this flexibility so why not take advantage of it.

That said, my strategy will probably be to downgrade Ramsey to Downing tonight, and then use my massive cash itb to do Lovren>Baines and Ulloa>Sturridge in GW8, if I can somehow find another 0.3 before then 🙂

    7. Turtlepower
      • 12 Years

Sold for Pelle yesterday, caught 0.1 Pelle rise. My team value is about 0.5 below par for those who had already wildcarded, so will welcome the 0.1.

Already have Aguero and no funds for Rooney - Falcao/Sturridge anyway. Pelle looking great(fixtures + form) while Falcao hasn't fired yet and Sturridge has not proven fitness.

Have another ft in hand to sort out any injuries or last min news, else will hold it and cash in bank for international week(2 ft always nice).

I did some research into AR's suggestions of Ozil and Silva as replacements for Ramsey instead of Downing, and these are my conclusions:

    - Downing is a better pick statistically than Silva. He has been clearly the better pick when comparing 6 GW's, but its very even in the last two GW's, but still advantage Downing because of price.

    - Downing is clearly better than Ozil overall (6GW comparison), but Ozil has played very well in the last two GW's and would be a solid pick if he continues that form. However, Ozil has Chelsea away next and there is no indication that his form is here to stay, whereas Downing has QPR and Burnley next two, so I will side with Downing again.

    - If you ignore the Chelsea fixture Ozil seems to be a good pick though, certainly more involved in the area and attack that Silva is, at least statistically. Probably one to monitor though.

Krul left at least. Doubt many have more than that so only autosubs can knock you out.

Lots have Begovic. I was thinking a Stoke cleanie could be my downfall.

    Good to go? Or WC?

    DDG/GIlks
    Chester/Dummet/Clyne/Cahill/Duff
    ADM/Sterling/Siggy/Downing(Chadli)/Marney
    Pelle/Costa/Aguero

If I don't WC this GW probably going to do so during Int break to fix defence. At the moment I plan to keep Downing for 1 GW

    Money saving tip no 1.

Toilet roll is relatively expensive. Make sure that you do all of your no. 2s at work. If you are forced to do them at home make sure you use both sides of the paper.

Or steal paper from the office and take your 2's in peace at home, for free.
