The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that our Injuries and Bans page has undergone some changes today.

Although these changes were assigned for the new site design, we’ve decided to roll out the new table prior to the redesign going live. We’re still working on optimisation on the new look, in the meantime, we wanted to switch and upgrade your injuries and bans “experience”.

The main difference from the user perspective is that we’ve added a percentage to the “Doubt†status. This percentage represents our estimate on the chance of the player being available for selection on the return date specified – so a player marked as a “Doubt 75†has, in our opinion, a stronger chance of making a return on the specified date than a player marked “Doubt 25â€.

The big difference from an admin perspective is that the table is now fully data driven from our player database. This not only makes it far quicker and efficient to update, it also means we can develop new features with the injuries and bans data. A sidebar widget listing the ten latest status changes will be on its way for Members soon and we will also look to develop injury histories for all players, accessible via the player profiles in the members area.

We’ve got some catching up to do on our data but, by the morning, your injuries and bans table should be fully up to date and operational ready for the new season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Right, this is a bit different to all the same old-same-old-rmts i'm seeing on here. So, what do people is better, option A or B and why if you have time:

    A
    Given (De Vries)
    Johnson Luiz Kompany (Brown, Hanley)
    Benayoun N'Zogbia Watson Valencia (Buzsaky)
[A front line so good I won't tell you]

    B
    Given (De Vries)
    Kompany Rafael Gibbs Enrique (Hanley)
Benayoun N'Zogbia Watson Taarabt (Another 6 mil midfielder)
[A front line so good I won't tell you]

Yeah, i know i'm kinda a knob for not putting the front line up, but each midfield and defence costs the same dough. What do you reckon is the best? Leaning towards A myself.

Sammy Amoebi has already scored and assisted an OG. Think at 17 he's already scored more goals for us than Shola has in 11 years 🙂

Got Silva captain for the first week and then Drogba planned for weeks 2 and 3 (also Nani a good captain option if not rotated too much with Young and Valencia) Not averse to having a defender as Captain in a tight week either, has worked for me in the past. I think Silva will be an absolute star this season.

I guess this is a RMT but rather than player specifics I'd like comments on my plan in general which is to play my wildcard between weeks 3 and 4 [hopefully we'll have seen something by then of teams' formations and whatnot; the real-world transfer window will have closed, i'll have a week with no fixtures so at least two weeks of tinkering will give me something to do] and therefore pick a squad that in many respects is for weeks 1-3 only, so loading up massively on wigan, fulham, and villa, even though if fancy all three to struggle over the season as a whole...

Also - is Aguero a decent pick?

    Hart [Ruddy]
Figueroa; Kompany; Riise [Baines, Jose Enrique]
    Albrighton; Taarabt; Moses; N'Zogbia [Sinclair]
    Bent; Aguero {c}; Rodallega

I hope you aren't serious, I could probably use automatic selection to come up with a better team than that. 😛

    A) Bent, Moses & Nzogbia

    Or

    B) Bent, Moses & Benayoun

    Or

    C) Bent, Moses & Ohara

    Or

    D) Rooney, Ohara & Moses

    Or

    E) Bent, Silva & Moses (would mean downgrading Baines)

    F) Some other combo ( 1 striker, 2 midfielders totalling 23.0m or less…)

Kevin Malcuit the right back playing for United tonight, a Monaco player looks like he could turn into a decent player.

Or maybe he just looks good because Evra has been so shit.

I think I'm rapidly approaching a team I'm content with, any thought on where/who to spend a 'spare' 1m on please? I'm thinking Moses to Jarvis/Pennant/Tarrabt, or Graham to ?

    Al-Habsi (Given)
    Baines, Kompany, Ivanovich (Gabbidon, Simpson)
    Silva, Malouda, N'Zogbia, Moses (Ferguson)
    Van Persie, Zamora, Graham

    Thanks

Maybe use your 1m extra to upgrade Graham to Roberts/Doyle?

Yes the Blackburn one, they are playing average enough teams first few weeks. I would rather him than an unproven Championship player.

Obvious hole in your team is Ferguson, the guy is a waste of 4 mil cos he will never play. Upgrade to a 4.5 mid like Dyer then upgrade Graham to Holt. Also Ivanovic is rotation risk, at CB he has competition from Terry, Alex and luiz and at RB he has competition from bosingwa and ferreira, not good for 7 mil, also no need to spend so much on a 3rd defender when u have bained and kompany. either upgrade to Cashley or downgrade and use the money elsewhere

    Nasri question................

If Nasri is transfered to the likes of Man City, would you be more likely to have Nasri on your team? Also, would it change your stance on other Man City mids/strikers?

Anyone know any public leagues giving out prizes? There were a few last year giving out ipads that I found about after the game finished (would have won a couple too!), but I can't remember them.

I realise the chances of doing anywhere near as good as last season are tiny, but, well, you've got to be in it to win it.

Plus I could tell my wife that this game isn't just a waste of my time! 😉

Cheers for the updates. The Sess bandwagon had died for me... (for now!) but good to hear this. Tchoyi (sp) looked a better goal scorer for me, but even then... heard the fixtures aren't great/ other attacking options.

Back on (football) topic. I'm sure Attila or Toon Tom have posted their thoughts/opinions as to what is happening at NUFC. I'm trying to understand it, but don't. If anyone can hit me up with a few FFS links, from the boys in question, it would be appreciated. Danke.
