For a guy who never gets CS's, Janmaat is not worth it imo (just like people realized with Caulker). Maybe not this week per se, but definitely in the near future.
I'd save the FT for the moment.Pardew out and Pulis in could change things.
i sold him for Baines last week
Well, that week everyone sold Caulker, he got a goal 😀
Once in a blue moon 😉
Janmaat to Baines
hesitant on that. would leave with me 0.9m and i have welbeck/chadli in my front 8. what if they get injured or lose form
Then you would jump on the next Bandwagon 😛
Save FT unless you want to do Chadli--->McGeady which seems a bit rash considering Spurs' fixtures after City.
yeah not for me. only just got chadli, he gets a few weeks to prove himself
Best combination
a) Cesc + Duff
b) Tadic + Azpi
c) Ivan + Chadlic

Any NRL fans in the DZ?
Grand final tonight! 🙂I don't really follow but UP THE DOGGIES!!
😀
Who are you going for mate?
Debut off the bench: Joint highest scorer for NZ atm 😎I'd like to see the Doggies win it, but as a neutral I'm just hoping for a high-scoring thriller 😀
Can't wait, mate! Storm supporter here so hoping the Bunnies can get one back for us.
Should be a cracker!
Are you an NRL follower?
Yep, big Warriors fan. Came 65th in the Holden NRL Fantasy this season too.
You always do us over on Ansac day in Melbourne. I never thought of playing, think I will next year. Who was your main points scorer?
Yeah I love the annual Anzac game against the Storm.
Smith, Parker and Sammy Burgess were consistently great scorers all season. Lafai was a good little differential of mine for most of the year, and Hayne was an absolute beast for the second half of the season. Farah, Fifita and Fensom all did well for me too when they weren't injured. Oh, and I had Hunt from the first week, what a season he had. 🙂How did James Graham fair? Konrad Hurrell must've been up there during his purple patch, too? What's the point system like? I imagine points for tries, assists and shutouts. How many people play it?
Also, I'm gutted about Hoffman joining your boys next season - what a player.Graham was great too, a mainstay in my team. You get points for quite a few things, including tackle busts, tackles, metres gained, tries, line breaks, try assists, LB assists, conversions etc. Forwards are the most consistent scorers due to the number of tackles they make. Hurrell did well during his purple patch, those backs that break heaps of tackles are gold, Mansour is another who I had for the majority of the season.
Looking forward to Hoffman coming, his leadership and experience will be awesome around some of the younger players coming through.Hayne must've been gold for tackle busts. Is there captaincy (double points) like FPL? How did JT end up, also?
Johnson and Tomkins playing off the back of Hoffman's, Mannering's etc runs will be something special. I fancy Warriors for finals next year if you can show any consistency or away form - always a good team to watch.Yep there's captaincy just like FPL. Smith is pretty much the Suarez of last season, most people leave the captaincy on him since he's consistently right up there with the highest scorers.
I was gutted that we didn't make the finals this year tbh... Our inconsistency is so painful to watch as a fan!I'll be sure to play next season - sounds great! Maybe even join your ML.
During Origin is when you guys peak, Mannering is your only omission. Would love to see a Warriors home final, too.Mannering? You mean Hoffman?
I joined Triggerlips' ML this season, it was a H2H and I ended up losing in the final 🙁 Knocked Trigg out in the semis though 😀
Hopefully more FFSers play next season and I can set a league up.*facepalm*
Yeah, meant Hoffman. 😆
Would be great to set up a DZ NRL league - something to keep us going during the off season for FPL.
GO THE DOGGIES
Warriors u20's champions. Geez the have some massive players. My daughter's boyfriend is the brother of K. Samson who played prop.
I think I might save a transfer for the first time this season 😯
A random phenomena will override that decision. Anything can happen in two weeks. 😉
That's very hard to say on a Saturday night before a two week break 😉
Courtois Gilks
Clyne Coloccini PVA Wisdom Moore
ADM Silva Sterling Chadli Sigurdsson
Aguero Costa Vaz Te
0.7 ITB // 1 FT
A) Vaz Te > Vardy and bench Chadli vs City
B) Coloccini > Chambers
C) Silva and Vaz Te > Boyd and Lukaku (-4)
D) Save FTVaz Te --> Cisse
Explain how that's possible. Vaz Te is 4.4 and Cisse is 5.9.
Oh i didn't realise vaz te was 4.4.
That being the case you should just carry on with 352 as your midfield is pretty strong. Just sort that defense out by getting colo out.
Colocini>Bertrand is also a trade you should consider before Bertrand rises to 5.3 to go out of your reach.Even with Clyne?
He's already out of my reach, mate. I'd only have 5.1.
sorry never mind Vaz Te price too
Haha, I see that you've narrowed down your options since I last saw your team! 😀
This GW is a great GW to get on some bandwagons like Welbeck and Baines for example (among others) due to the 2 week break giving more time for players to rise. As such I would try to use the FT.
Chambers will probably rise - as long as he doesn't get booked against Chelsea, so is a good transfer imo.Aye. I can't get Baines without surgery (shipping Courtois etc). I could take a -8 and get Chambers and Lukaku for their respective fixtures upcoming. Vardy also allows me to play 343 for this GW without taking a hit, so got some decisions to make.
- Is Aguero worth it?
Is Aguero worth his 12.2 price tag over 7.3 Welbeck?
Let's consider some numbers:
Welbeck costs 7.2, Aguero 12.2, which is about 70% more of Welbeck's price, but lets use 50% to allow for captaincy points for example.
Will Aguero score over 50% more points than Welbeck? Probably not, as Aguero doesn't play all games and is taken off early a lot.
However, for the sake of debate let's assume Aguero DID score 50% more than Welbeck, is it worth it then? Still, probably not, and here's why:
That 5.0 extra budget can allow you to upgrade a 4.5 Defender (eg. Taylor) to Baines, AND upgrade a 5.0 mid (eg. Kranjcar) to Tadic. Will Baines and Tadic outscore Taylor and Kranjcar by more than what Aguero will outscore Welbeck by? Most definitely yes, and its not even close imo.Not for me as of now.
these scenarios just don't work, sorry.
Can you please explain why they don't work, instead of just saying that they don't?!
There's just too many assumptions.
For example if you have Naylor, it's highly unlikely that you play him every week. Also, who needs a 5m mid on the field? If you kranjcar he would be on the bench so why is he being compared to tadic? doesn't that mean you are rotating tadic and welbz? You're taking the examples too literally.
The point is that the 5.0 can be reinvested elsewhere to earn big point increases there. I don't see how anyone can disagree with that specific point.yeah but my point is an extra 5m is best spot on a captaincy option.
eg. something like
Chadli + Clyne + Kun vs Adm + Baines + Welbz
i prefer the former.
my theory is make use of value but the explosive heavy hitting captain materials come first, build the value around them. i have had kun and welbeck since the first int break when i played my wc btw.I agree - but if you already have Costa there's already an explosive option to choose for almost any fixture.
The examples you've chosen aren't the best ones imo, as I wouldn't be upgrading on good-value players like Clyne or Chadli, but rather on the lesser 4.5def's for example. In my case the Ivanovic-Baines vs Taylor-PVA/Chambers example is most prevalent so I chose that.
fwiw I don't like ADM, I'd rather have Tadic. 🙂
Let me guess....you own Welbeck and not Aguero? 🙂
I brought him in for Ulloa this evening, yes 😉
This seems pretty ironic given the fundamental point of your post is "value", and Ulloa is amoung the top rated strikers for value over the next 6 weeks.
Aguero points count double 🙂
So would Welbeck points in his easy fixtures... Many would captain Costa over him a lot of weeks anyways so that effect is minimized.
But double a lower score on average. Having top captain scores is the single most important decider of success imo
Welbeck great value btw especially with the run ahead. Having both aguero and welbeck is also an optionCosta will get the double scores most weeks though....
I would get Welbeck over Aguero if I was on WC. Only because it gives me the cash to Bulk up the rest of the team
Exactly. Aguero just forces you to limit yourself elsewhere, whereas Welbeck-Pelle allows you to do whatever you want in midfield and defense pretty much.
what do you do in wk12 when SOTs fixtures worsen and you need to sell, but Aguero is now 12.8m?
Could WC or get Sturridge, Tekkers, someone else?
Nothing really... or I can buy Sturridge, Lukaku, Benteke, etc... there's loads of good options imo.
I could also revert to 352 even.
In anycase, GW12 is a long time away and I'm sure I could get Aguero if i wanted to. Its very unrealistic to expect him to rise that high though given how slow rises have been this season. Most people will probably stick with Costa-Welbeck as their front 2, plus Pelle or another.Agree
value is great, but if your whole team is worth 60m, it wont score as heavily as a fully invested team. spend the money up top - consistent and big points.
Aguero's points-per-million isn't nearly as good as some other options out there.
Given the choice between having Aguero and two cheapies in defense, OR Ivanovic, Baines, and Welbeck, I think the decision is pretty easy. Those players also get consistent and big points. You forget something *very* important when considering a player like Aguero's ppm...
You can captain him most every week & as a result his ppm *can* be doubled.Yes - but I did factor that in to my prediction above - dropping 20% from my estimate - AND specifically mentioning that Costa would be captained most weeks anyways - thus making the captaincy double-points less pronounced in this comparison.
This is my 9th season playing FF. Kin is worth the money. When your at the end of the season you'll understand why.
If all the players were the same cost what would be your perfect team. Think about it. In time you'll get it. I'll transfer him out when he's injured. At the moment I'll enjoy it when Costa stops scoring and Kun owners take advantage!Obviously if all players cost the same he'd be in my team for sure. But they don't cost the same, and I can do without the will-he-won't-he every week.
Also, in games where he scores once or twice he's more likely to be taken off early, which minimizes the chance for big hauls too.Hey you could be right. The joys of playing this game and taking risks! Let's see where we are at the end of the season! I think it's too easy/risk free following the pack. Make your own trends. I've had a double Southampton defense for weeks. I'm ditching them this week as everyone else has bought. It might work or it might not! At least in playing the game where as some people follow the trends! Boring. I'm keeping Kun and getting Baines. Controversial....
he is thinking too much about value. get your kuns and costa and build around them with value.
Absolutely
Who would score more?
A) Kun(c) - Costa - any 5.0def - any 4.5def
B) Costa(c) Welbeck Ivanovic BainesI asked the same question here: http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/10/04/the-scoreboard-gameweek-7-saturday/?hc_page=26#hc_comment_8480589
Most seem to think B will easily outscore A.Your missing the point pal
Everyone playing this game has Costa. He's not a differential. Kun captain is. You wouldn't captain baines! That's the rule, never captain a defender!
You're overlooking the fact that NOT captaining Costa is also a (negative) differential.
Don't pigeonhole us here to bolster your position by adding an unnecessary variable of *mostly* captaining Costa...
How is that pigeonholing you? Its hardly an unnecessary variable when its true. More people captained Costa this week that Aguero, including many who own both.
What?
Mate, you've created this elaborate set of projections & rules in order to justify your position.
One of them being that you're *making me* captain Costa over Aguero to lessen his overall ppm.
And, what's worse you're pigeonholing me into doing this because the herd here feels it's the best play?
Horribly faulty reasoning all round my friend...This
First of all - my elaborate projections and rules are in fact very simple back-of-a-cigarette-pack calculations.
Secondly, I was making a very general point, without the desire to pigeonhole anyone or target you specifically. You don't have to agree, but I welcome your opinion and you're well entitled to share it.
I hope we can continue this debate amicably, because it seems the conversation has taken an unnecessary tone for the worst.
🙂Sensitive!!
I'm not the one saying "mate", "pal", "listen", "my friend", which are clearly patronizing terms to use. I don't appreciate being patronized when having simple conversations. Call that sensitive if you want.
I get your overall point. I disagree with it. I'm trying to help you understand my point. I think that's called a debate. Where I come from we call each other friend, mate, pal. Especially when we're having a footy debate! Enjoy yer season pal and remember to make your own trends.
Listen, I said Aguero's value can be doubled b/c you can captain him almost every week.
You replied that it wasn't b/c lots of ppl own Costa & we should captain him instead.
This is faulty reasoning on it's face.I fail to see why that is faulty reasoning. Costa is just as good a captaincy option right now as Aguero (if not better), so my reasoning is completely valid.
As I mentioned above you also can't say that captaining Aguero is a differential without considering the impact of not captaining Costa - which is arguably far more risky, as those who captained Aguero today may well find out tomorrow.Stop...
Your opinion on Costa as a captain's choice has zero bearing on what I said.
I said Aguero's ppm can be doubled by captaining him.
That's it. That's all.
There's no arguing this point. So quit while you're behind...OK - yes you can double Aguero's ppm by captaining him - agreed. You win on that one.
But, we don't look at captaining him in a vacuum (to use your own argument), and Costa's existence means that Aguero's ppm WON'T be doubled very often.this, Welbeck allows a Baines-Ivan double up as well. I view them as 2 extra midfielders, which can be huge added advantage with Welbeck. However, if you opt for the Aguero route, you can't do that without ruining your midfield or GK's
From your wildcard history TFF I don't think your as sure as you think you are on the great Kun debate!! In out in out in out.......
That was to catch up on the price rises mate, too bad he didn't double rise. I've been saying it from day one here that he isn't worth the price tag!
I used my WC this week. Got Kun because I can always downgrade, but I couldn't go Welbeck -> Kun later without taking a hit.
I just feel as though you can rely on Kun to score in almost every game, even with his limited game time. He is also on spot kicks.
They are both differentiators you could say, due to ownership %, but he provides another reliable captain option as others have stated.
Having Baines + Ivan in defence is risky, it could reward you well but you could say the same thing with that combination, you could get rid of one of them and upgrade elsewhere.personally i do not think i even need ivan.
chambers baines clyne + 2 more is enough for me. i am contented with it for now and even if i have the extra cash i am not sure whether i will use it to get ivan in there unless i playing 433
I don't personally think he is.
Don't get me wrong, I do rate him as an option. But the overall impact he has on your FPL team, the CL rotation and the irregularity of playing 90 minutes week in week out makes me think that he isn't worth it. What's worse is that his points ceiling isn't as high as Costa's, whenever City are playing well and in the lead, Aguero has a greater chance of been taken of than Costa. I'm also not sure whether his hamstrings can last till November.I'm glad I could get some backup! O'Shaughnessy and DK were coming at me from all angles! 🙂 🙂
Totally agree with your points.😀
How did the week go mate?gonna make a new post on the new page 🙂
Go ahead then!
You could use the same argument for RVP in years gone by. He wasn't 'value' but he was 'points'. We have a 15 man squad which can be made up of value players as well as points players. Aguero is a points player and therefore somewhat of a luxury. If he beats Welbeck by 50pts this season thats enough for me so long as my value players such as Chaddlii and Siggy do well for their price.
I am pro value this time. It all depends on Costa and his numbers. If he keeps it up. than Kun is irrelevant . He isn't no 1 player atm in FPL
I did a similar post on this at the start of the season, regarding 'value'.
Yes, to a certain extent Welbeck is better 'value' but you can only reinvest so much of that money successfully. What's to say you don't anyway? Aguero might score a fair few more points than Welbeck, so how do you make those up? You sprinkle the remaining funds over players who might not score as well.
For me, Aguero Costa Welbeck is the front three to have. Southampton have good fixtures but they become awful in a few weeks.
Also, everyone needs to remember we don't hold players for a whole season, just parts. Aguero won't be fit all season so if you own him when fit then he scores well. There is no point looking at overall totals because you won't own that player the whole season. Costa will probably get suspended or injured, Aguero injured, Welbeck rotated when Giroud is back etc. it's about owning players when they have form and fixtures and right now that's what they both have, therefor I will take them both.Very well put. God I love FF. Hope Costa gets a red today.
Come on
1) Compare like with like.
Welbeck went from 5th choice at Man United, to 1st choice at arsenal...his pricing is way off! (he will be great value if he can replicate his hatrick performance)
It's not a fair comparison to Aguero who has been priced correctly.
Who would you rather: Sturridge, Yaya, Sanchez, Facloa/RVP/Rooney...or Aguero?
2) Value is better, but harder to find.
Finding 11 value players like Welbeck will be VERY difficult, and unless you have a crystal ball owning aguero will often be the better choice. Sometimes consistency > value.
Consider the budget forwards so far: Naismith, Sakho, Ulloa, Berahino...all offer outsanding value, but only if you own them on the exact couple of weeks they score. Very hard to get right.I think he's maybe a million or so overpriced, but right now I'm top 20k and I've had 6million in the bank for the last 3 GWs...at some point it just makes sense to invest that in a lower value player who will get more points!
I'll be getting Baines or Aguero next week with the money most likely.
the words of a person who fears aguero, and fooling him self to believe that he is not worth it. kun essential for me after watching him against villa. is due a 15 pt haul
Aguero always destroys by team balance.
For those of us considering bringing in Kun over the international break, what do people reckon are the implications (if any) of the fact that Argentina's two friendlies are in Buenos Aries and Hong Kong? Seems like a lot of travel to me. Has me thinking that prioritising other potential transfers over the int break and delaying acquiring Kun for a week or two might be a goer.
I agree overall.
If we assume that nearly everyone has Costa, investing 12.2 in Aguero really strips much of the rest of your team, with nearly a quarter of the overall budget invested in just two fifteenths of the squad.
In having Pelle and Welbeck up top, and Quinn on the bench in midfield, with ADM, Fab, Sterling and Siggy making up the rest of my attacking force, I'm able to have both Baines and Ivanovic in defence, with Naylor/Wilson/Wisdom rotating as my third defender, with enough change left over to have Mannone and Forster in goal, and 0.8 itb.
Aguero has the ability to go supersonic, as we all know, but is yet to have a double-figured GW and is an injury risk. And I feel were I to bring him into my team, I'd be losing a top defender, a top midfielder, and also losing out on a Welbeck who I have reasonably high expectations of over the coming months.
If Costa wasn't the essential expensive striker that he is, then Aguero would be a very likely candidate for me, but as things stand, his price would devalue too much of my team.
Begovic, McCarthy
Bertrand, Naylor, Chambers, Moore, Duff
Hazard, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Chadli, Boyd
Aguero, Costa, Pelle
2 FT, 3.1 ITB for the international break.
Should I break the piggy bank to bring in Baines for Naylor?i would shift duff or moore instead, tbh.
Planning on getting Welbeck and Baines in for two FT, better to wait out the international break as I'm not playing WC?
Of course unless budget is an issue.
i'm getting both in for a -4 hit. I have loads of money itb but i don't think the odds of injury are that high so im willing to take the risk. Siggy and Naylor are my 1st and 2nd subs in GW8 anyways so i'm well covered short-term.
best Trio? thx
1.welbek - cesc - ntaylor
2.pelle - tadic - Jagielk/orAspi (if aspi, implies GK4.0)
*canot do pelle-cesc dont have funds, nor have bertrand in option2.
def atm:
manone - foster (or 4.0)
clyne - wisdom - duff - moore1
1 no question.
cheers. i was leaning 2 w/ jags.n welebk form + fixtures might make it happen.
Thoughts on these moves?
Chester and DDG to Baines and 4.5 for a hit.not for me.
Would leave me with a defence of:
4.5
Cahill/Baines/Duff/Dummet/Clyne 😯Way too much in defense.
I'd get rid of Dummet for one. Then one of Cahill or Clyne
Any changes you'd make to this team (2 free transfers, 0.0 in the bank)?
Forster Elliot
Baines Taylor PvA Wisdom Moore
Sigurdsson Di Maria Fabregas Sterling Albrighton
Costa Aguero WelbeckAlbrighton>Boyd
Agree
Good call. Cheers.
stick , good team
Looks great. Sort out albrighton so as not to waste an ft or is he too cheap now?
He's 4.4, which doesn't leave me with too many options, but I'll probably drop him for Boyd who's also 4.4.
Great team - just lacks Clyne or Bertrand.
PVA > Chambers? Turn of fixtures for both, now.Not sure if I want to double up on Southampton defense since I already have Forster, but it's something I've defintely considered. Will consider Chambers, though. Thanks.
Aye, not a major issue, anyway.
Albrighton > Boyd and PVA > Chambers look sensible transfers, if you decide to use both.
don't do it now though, wait till the end incase of any unexpected international injuries plus boyd or albrightons prices won't change
best Def 4.6 or under?
1.pva
2.ntaylor
3.wilson
4.robertson
5.any other
already have: duff - moore - wisdomYour defence is going to struggle most weeks with that lot.
Chambers.Chambers
Hear, hear.
Chambers.
I reckon Robertson will become a top 4.5 pick after GW14 when fixtures improve. He's seriously attack-minded and puts in tons of great crosses. Hopefully he can stay cheap until then!
If Studge is passed fit for next week I may only own Costa for one GW.
lol attackI'm only 0.3 short of being able to do Welbeck>Sturridge in a few weeks. Hopefully Sturridge drops 0.1 and Welbeck rises alot to make it possible.
A frontline of Pelle-Costa-Sturridge would be so boss 🙂You'd be getting rid of the wrong striker.
This.
Sturridge Costa Welbz is the right wayAh yes you're right. We'll see how the next 5-6 gw's play themselves out though! 🙂
Do you think that Aguero would have been subbed off had he taken his chances earlier in the match?
Was Jovetic on the bench? Probably
Yeah he was.
Pellegrini seems to leave Aguero on when he really needs to find a goal.
So for my fellow Aguero captainers, it may not have worked out any better had he taken his chances earlier in the game. I'll still take 7 points though.he could've bagged a couple easily. unlucky.
Aww missed some juicy banter in the last few hours...
Not to worry mate
Was a joy to read though...
For sure
Has anyone forgiven Triggerlips yet for being right about Siggy? 🙂
keeping the top scoring mid in the game was pretty obvious, really.
What was this?
A few days back he put up a well reasoned post as to why selling Siggy was daft. Underlying stats all pointing to him being consistent and actually making good Fantasy scores being random. Took a lot of stick for it as far as I could see.
That's rich as I all but talked him out of selling him the night before.
Unforgiven then 🙂
Change your name to The Rage Sage. Must be you who convinced him.Nah, I don't get uptight over his posts. Find him quite entertaining actually.
Yep, you need the characters to liven things up a bit
Needs to score now, imo. I'll take the assists all day long, but would love him to notch.
He'll get goals, it's just a bit random in which GWs. In the meantime I'll take the assists, BAPs and PPG.
Wish I could say the same about EriksenUnlike you, I CAN say the same about Chadli. 😆
It won't last 😉
Its a shame you're not a member or I could show you some very revealing stats about his probable goals-to-assist ration this season.
In summary, expect lots and lots of assists, but few goals.
Nothing to forgive, he was only giving his opinion...
And IMO it's a bit silly to drop him after a few blanks, he's a season keeper at that price...Agree. I was only stirring cos I'm a bit bored on a Sunday afternoon.
Its one of those ironic things that people being right are often hard to forgiveIt's why I catch so much stick.
Best move here fellas?
A) Terry -> Baines
B) Terry & Chadli -> Mert & Tadic (4 points)
C) Chadli & Pelle -> Tadic & Welbeck (4 points)
D) Hutton & Hazard -> Baines & Tadic (4 points)
Krul
Terry, Clyne, Chambers
Hazard, Sterling, Siggy, Chadli
Costa, Aguero, Pelle
Elliot, Wisdom, Hutton, Albrighton
Bank 0.8mD, just - but only because of Baines over Mert
Watch how Tadic does today... Atm, I will go for A
A
E) Terry & Hazard --> Baines & Tadic
Thoughts on Henderson?
I try not to think about him at all
I wish my hair could be as well combed when I sweat as his
Can't wait for NBA to start!!!!!! Feeling excited 🙂
Let's go Knicks!!
Booo!!!
Gross
Shut it! -; )
Probably A.
B would leave you with two arsenal defenders.
C is a sideways move IMO.
D leaves you with Pelle and Tadic, I'm not a fan of more than two players in your front 7 from the same team, unless it is Cesc & costa.Reply fail for Jinswick 😛
Trying to decide what to do with terry. Should I:
A. Terry >> Baines
B. Terry >> Naylor and ulloa >> welbeck
C. Keep terry
current team
bego, hamer
terry, bertrand, duff, moore, colo
siggy, fab, sterling, di maria, marney
costa, aguero, ulloa
2 FT, 1.0 itb
cheersWait and evaluate after Arsenal game.
Pickings are increasingly slim at the back. All the more reason to keep funds free for that front seven.
True to some extent. I think some will emerge - Mangala, Koscielny, some others possibly.
City one of the few defense with decent enough fixtures but Mangala is rash and lacks agility. Seems to carry a decent enough goal threat but Demichelis is always lurking. And I'm no fan of the Kolarov experience.
West Ham look to be good value right now, bizarrely. Tells you all you need to know about how poor BPL defenses are right now.Agree.
Who would score more?
A) Kun(c) - Costa - any 5.0def - any 4.5def
B) Costa(c) Welbeck Ivanovic BainesB easily
B
I could afford Iva or Baines with Kun-Costa-Welbeck but I don't see the point.
Its a heads up comparison. You don't have to afford them, just say which one you think would score more.
Depends fixtures.
Exactly.
Silly & irrelevant.
We don't pick players in a vacuum like this...Obviously not, but how else are we supposed to make non-elaborate projections?
For the sake of comparison, lets say all those players were playing the same team. Choose any 4.5 or 5.0 defender you like.No...
Why can't I have Baines, Ivan, Welbeck, Costa & Aguero?
It's a completely reasonable line up too.
I'll say it again, we do not choose players in a vacuum like this.Ok, fair enough. If I use my own situation, which one of these teams would you rather have?
A)
Begovic Krul
BAINES IVANOVIC Clyne Chambers Wisdom
Tadic Siggy Fabregas Sterling Downing
Pelle Costa WELBECK
1.0itb
B)
Begovic Krul
LOVREN TAYLOR Clyne Chambers Wisdom
Tadic Siggy Fabregas Sterling Downing
Pelle Costa AGUERO
0.4itb
Btw, I should mention that I am very happy to be convinced that my idea is wrong, but so far I'm yet to change my mind.u have downing as a 5th mid..if u free up the cash u could do lovren->baines and i will definiely choose B.
Yes its certainly an option I looked at too. But then I considered City's upcoming fixtures as well as Jovetic's return to fitness and I can see Aguero getting rested in at least 1-2 of City's next 4-5 league games, which swung it the other direction.
rested maybe not as city is not in a great position in the league..but given that city has only 1pt in UCL i do agree that he will be subbed off early in those games.
its a matter of how much he can do with the lesser minutes.
on the other hand, its possible for welbeck to be rested too especially with walcott etc back..we have seen it with sanchez so i would not rule out.
B. I'd free up cash else where and get baines in. I wouldn't bother with Iva.
I'm getting shot of Fab soon.
Thanks. Downing>4.4 was something I considered for sure, and am not sold on Ivanovic yet at all if I'm honest, but I just don't want to spend 12.2 on a striker who may or may not play most of his fixtures.
For example, West Ham away and QPR away in 2 and 4 GW's time coincide with CL weeks when City face CSKA in must-win games, so I can see Aguero rested for those games. Is a 12.2m striker worth his money if he's benched for half of his next 4 fixtures?
Downing as a 5th mid is wasteful.
I'd rather have many less expensive defenders than Lovern.
Fábregas isn't worth £9.6 now Oscar's back & playing *in the hole*.
Bertrand is a better player than Cylne & costs less.
Blah, blah, blah...
We. Do. Not. Choose. Players. In. A. Vacuum.
So stop being so inflexible & your team will be better for it.Downing is only there for two fixtures because I had to get rid of Ramsey and liked his fixtures.
I'm doing Lovren>Baines tomorrow.
Fabregas is fine, I got him for 9.0 so I don't care that he costs 9.6 now. 9.0 is still good value for him.
I got Clyne for 5.0 as well from GW1 so I don't care about him being better or worse or more expensive than Bertrand. Until I WC I won't be making that swap.I appreciate your advice though, its all very reasonable, even if your tone could be a little less hostile 😉
G morn- Prefer A . If Downgrade Ivan and a mid and get Aguero in for Pelle
Sergio Aguero and Fernando Torres in their days and best, who do you think is more lethal?
Torres
My memory isn't clear for that far back
Best move here? Cheers, everyone.
Courtois
Clyne Coloccini PVA
ADM Silva Sterling Chadli Siggy
Aguero (vc) Costa (c)
Gilks, Vaz Te, Moore, Wisdom.
0.7 ITB // 1 FT
A) Vaz Te > Vardy and bench Chadli vs City
B) Coloccini > Chambers
C) Silva and Vaz Te > Boyd and Lukaku (-4)
D) Save FTLukaku/Welbeck*
C with the Welbz
Lining up three transfers according to fixtures so I can afford Kun on the fourth
No FT''s, WC in tact
1) AdM--> Tadic
2) Bego --> Guzan
3) Caulker --> Chambers
4) Pelle --> THE KUNJedniak WTF ???
Krul, Foster
Moreno, Clyne, Pva, Wilson, Moore
Dimaria, Fabregas, Sterling, Sigurdsson, Boyd
Aguero, Costa, Ulloa
1FT .9 ITB
Best transfer(s) for this lot?Don't like LIV defenders. Replace with Chambers and use the cash elsewhere, maybe Fab -> Sanchez..?
or Ulloa to Welbeck...?
How are all us Aguero (c) feeling with 14 points..?
Can see Costa getting at least a goal... 😕Could also blank. Or get sent off. 😛
This
I'm happy the 'Balo - dropped' rumours nudged me into getting him in. Risky enough with his hammy, no need to captain too
this mid conundrum...best duo?
1.cesc - chadli/hendo/or downing
2.sterling - tadic
rest of mid: adm - sigur - 4.4 boyd/tiote
