A number of midfielders are amongst this evening’s members piece, as we take a look the in-form options at Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham. We also cast an eye over Diego Costa’s recent form, assess Sergio Aguero’s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPR’s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterday’s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

    Guys some advice please...
    A. Sterling, Naismith to chadli/diami/other 8.1mid and sahko
    B. Sterling, Naismith to 5.5m and Pele (already have tadic)
    C. Sterling, welbeck to sanchez and 5.4 striker
    D. Sterling welbeck to sahko and Walcott

    Maybe Harry Kane?
Will wait until Friday after all European games though..

while Pelle would be good for his home game v Leicester, his fixtures turn very soon so you might want to trade him out in a couple of weeks anyway.

A sounds good. Need to get rid of Naismith, and some decent midfielders available for 8.1.

When Wally returns to full fitness is it better double up with Sanchez which probably means no other premium mid if Aguero, Costa and Baines are on the team.

Or Sanchez to Wally is what the the solution is.

Even in his short appearance, Walcott almost had a goal and seemed to be in the box all the time

He is - But so, it seems, is Sanchez. I am by no means afraid to double up if necessary though, but many won't.

Last year the people who did well mid season were those who quickly realised that Sterling+Sturridge was NOT too much liverpool!

Hey Sunny.. Congrats on our win. The final it is!! Shame i had to play my WC this week and not the next 😳
Wally the first name on my teamsheet when fit. Going with oscar with 0.7 in the bank for Wally for when he plays a full 90. Baines, Sanchez, Adm, Wally, Aguero, Costa with West Ham attackers around em is the plan

In Sanchez current form he is undroppable unless wally impacts Sanchez pitch time or involvement.

Wally may well be the best option for one of your other spots. I'd have no issue doubling up if he regains his best form

Doubling up is well and good but the fact that with the double up, affording another premium mid like Fab/Haz/Adm will be really tough is what is confusing me

Anybody else tend to follow this pattern every year?

I'm genuinely considering next year just picking a starting squad with all the highest % ownership players. At least I can guarantee an 'average' start that way!

I guess that could be something to do with enforced wildcarding/ proactive transfers (because you are forced to sell)

        Or just complacency?

Mind you a friend of mine has quit this year. no transfers for the last 3 weeks because he got about 30 points in the aguero4goal week. That's a shame because I'm sure he could've pulled it back.

It does seem that wildcards are best used early rather than holding.

This year I was sure I'd hold onto it, thinking my team was OK. Then last week I spontaneously (and probably unsensibly!) activated it and it worked wonders. Don't think I'll ever hold it beyond GW10 in future.

I've had Downing at 4th mid for a while and while you'll get a few 2pointers, he is likely to prove excellent value if he continues to be integral to west ham's attacks.

I currently have sanchez+hazard. My main question this week is whether to hold transfer, or switch haz->ADM

Everyone will say Sanchez becuase of his last few weeks, but I was more concerned by ADM yesterday - with Rooney back he looked more isolated.

Hi guys.. I want Pelle for the next 2 games and its doin my head in- please help id appreciate it thank you.

    DeGea 4.0
    Baines Clyne Wisdom Colo OShea
    Sanchez DiMaria Tadic Siggy Wanyama
    Aguero Welbeck Ulloa

    2 FT , 1.5 ITB

    foolishly I loaded up on Soton players (clyne, tadic, wanyama) without much though previously so if I want Pelle Ill need to unload one of them. Am I better off doing;

    1) Tadic + Ulloa > Downing + Pelle

    2) Wanyama + Welbeck > Boyd + Pelle

Looks very forced but Id rather make this mistake then to look back at Pelle's double figures for his next 2 games!!! As they say, better regret buying than regret not buying. Hahaha

Other ideas are very welcomed. Thanks!!

That is actually a good team - but you have snookered yourself with both Costa AND Agüero.

Also, you need Fabianski to rotate with Begovic. I have, and it is not too late to fix that.

There is merit in what you say, Doosra. I have been banging on for weeks that both Kun and Costa is detrimental to the rest of the squad. There will be weeks when both fire, but the players you can get with the extra funds should more than compensate

Probably should have got rid of Costa earlier but just don't think it makes sense to ditch him now. Although it's tempting.
