We also cast an eye over Diego Costa’s recent form, assess Sergio Aguero’s displays compared to recent campaigns and take time to assess QPR’s in-form frontman after another impressive showing in yesterday’s narrow defeat at the Bridge.

Who are you?
I think the animosity towards hits is actually a problem for a lot of fantasy managers, I'm not saying go out and take -12 point hits every week, but if the moves are sensible and look more than likely to repay the transfer cost, then why not? They obviously work, and it's not that Hits are a negative aspect of the game in that you are more than likely to lose points than gain them. If that was the case then,I'm sure FPL wouldn't have included it in the game.
Doosra is a prime example of how hits can work out, this season. He's made 15 transfers thus far, and taken 2 -8 pnt and -4 pnt hits. People on here are afraid to take a single hit, let alone an -8 pnt hit, and yet people like Doosra are flying high this season despite the transfer cost.
He's sitting pretty on a rank of 14k and it shows just how well his hits have paid off.
This week, he took an 8 pnt hit to do:
Welbeck--->Berahino
Sterling----> Sanchez(C)
Ivanovic---> Baines
+ 26 points including the Sanchez captaincy(8 without) ...includes the 8 point hit.
And 8 points is quite a lot when you're way up in the ranks, 26 is an enormous amount to add to your points total. Think he went from 86k---->14k or so...

P.S I'm the complete opposite of sensible hits, my hits are incredibly risky. The risks I take are stupid, and that's why they don't always work out for me 😆You may want to take a look at Doosra's history and a history of wanton hits.

I was hit-crazy in my previous 2 seasons. This season I haven't taken one yet. I guess you can't really say whether one strategy is better than the other but hits have generally worked out for me in the past. They make FPL more exciting too 🙂
Did the sane transfers but with Costa instead of Welbeck for -4 and went from 60k to 30k. U captained Sanchez also. Does that count as having balls??

We're agreed that Sakho will score more than Downing, right? Downing's points seem to rely on him playing centrally, which might not happen all the time. Even when he does, his conversion of chances is poor.
Then it comes down to Costa vs. Hazard. Costa will score more goals, but for each goal Hazard scores, it's worth an extra point and he's far more likely to get bonus.

Sounds argument with the extra point for Hazard, but Hazard is no longer Chelsea's star man. He's been very unselfish this season and his assist potential has been solid, but his goal threat not as great as I'd like it to be.
Costa is their man man now, their big finisher to put away all the chances their star studded midfield creates.
He'll comfortably outscore Hazard, imo.
P.S I don't own Costa and I have Hazard, not planning to get Costa ATM though.
For the foreseeable future, you should go with Hazard though...I can see Costa's output dropping a little for now + the injuries and all that. The loss here is outweighed by the gain you get in Sakho over Downing.

To me it seems many in my ML gained 20 odd points on my even though none had Sanchez. They all had Chambers.
A defender that scores & keeps a CS(not to mention score an assist) in the same GW is massive to a rank.
