Back in the routine yet? Maybe another familiar regular is what you need to reacquaint yourself with the route to the weekend Fantasy deadline.

We’ve duly published our first Captain poll of the season, canvassing your views on the destination of the Fantasy armband ahead of the season kick-off.

Straight way, we’ve got an interesting one.

Doubts surrounding the fitness of Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez level the playing field a little, while Nani and Wayne Rooney will catch the eye, though both may look a risk against a West Brom side who will surely be well-drilled by the crafty Roy Hodgson. Perhaps a gamble on Fernando Torres at Stoke is in order? But then Didier Drogba could easily start at the Britannia, such is the uncertainty surrounding the Andre Villas-Boas teamsheet.

    i suppose ive drafted a decent squad if i have the top 3 captain options, 4 of the top 6 and 5 of the top 10.

    considering defenders and keepers are rarely given the armband, and the others top 10 in the poll i dont have include dzeko and aguero, having 5 of my front 7 considered captain options is a nice feeling.

        Bad forwards? Carroll will fly this year IMO. Everyone needs a chepaie, DJ proven scorer in Prem. I don't like the team, but a Rooney or RVP up front and thats a cracking front three

      A) Malouda + N'Zogbia + Taarabt,OR B) Malouda + Nani + 4.0 MID....Don't see any other way of getting Nani in except selling Taarabt.Only other way is to sell both Sinclair and Moses(or Holt,for a 4.5 player.)

        My thinking on Baines is that there is enough 6.0 defenders out there that will get clean sheets, so the extra 2.0 needed to get Baines has got to be justified by him scoring on a regular basis.

        Now I guess you would have to decide whether he will score enough to make it worth while vs using that extra 2.0 on a mid/striker that has a greater chance of scoring per game.

      With all the uncertainty over some of the big boys injuries I decided to keep 4.5 million in the bank..
      This keeps me free to bring in anyone i want in week 2.
      I'm happy with downing/carrol for week one..strong feeling they'll hammer the new look sunderland even tho i have a strong dislike for liverpool

      Any thoughts?

            Really unsure about Liverpool's set-up this year though.

              Carroll will be up top. 35mil, that will be a bit of a demand from the owners I'd have thought! Downing, another massive signing too. Kenny will get him firing. It'll benefit England too

        Seriously, what is it with England and Canada with work permits? Japanese are the worlds most harmless people...tell me the last time you saw a Japanese pick-pocket, panhandler, homeless or violent person? I can understand not letting Snoop in...if he reeked of weed. But Ryo??? I've played basketball professionally in several different counties, and when I got to Holland, they took my word for it...Sweden...I had to call the team, and a 45 second convo in Swedish did it. Israel, of course they didn't...but they are a different bird altogether...you haven't lived until you've made it through Ben Gurion!!!

        defense very dear..hart and company ovekil imo..could reap rewards but think would be wiser to downgrade hart and use cash to upgrade odemwingie..
        also utd have hard opening fixtures..altho i can't see them losing any, i can see them shipping a goal or two..vidic too expensive

              senderos has 1 start in fulham's main side in pre-season. far too early to tell. baird could have been ill or carrying a knock which meant he was only fit enough for the bench.
              as for benayoun he is causing unrivalled levels of delusion

                agree senderos,, bad choice. Benayoun will play, no way that AVB will EVA play Drogba, Kalou and Anelka on the field together. Kalou outted as the selfish bastard and soccer IQ illiterate that he is. Anelka...erratic and too unpredictable. Yossi must play. There's no way we see Frank in the hole...he's too lazy at this point, he had his cabana boy McEachran running about for him. I'm starting to believe Malouda would be a good shout if McEachran plays behind him, as they're both left footed.

          Ya I'm kind of stuck because I want Silva in my sqaud but I have to downgrade a mid to make it happen.

          These are my options,

          Taarabt & N'Zogs

          or

          Silva and a 4.5 mid

          I really want Silva but I think that the first option is the safest, what do you think?
