Nope, this rational takes the odd freak week out of the equation. For example a player could could score 2-3 points most weeks, then have 2-3 crazy weeks scoring 10+ points pushing they're average points up quite a bit, but they will have only exceeded they're average points on those 2-3 occasions, hence not very consistent......or at least that's my take on it.

Certainly players like Walcott can be explosive but the focus of these articles are to identify players who deliver steady returns. There's a place for both in our squads but inconsistent returns from an expensive player can be a nightmare - personally I held Malouda far too long during a dry spell last season and it cost me dearly.
