not really. alonso has said he would be rated much higher abroad where game intelligence is appreciated rather than headless chicken behaviour in midfield, flying into tackles last ditch etc

There's a real shortage of decent holding mids in the Prem at the moment. I'm not saying he's a bad player. Far from it. Some of the comments I hear about him are well over the top though. They'd have been pushing it a couple of years ago when he really was class.
He's very highly rated in this league too by his fellow players which is why he's been nominated for player of the season. Look at United now, keeping clean sheets, giving Chelsea and City a game. It's no coincidence that it's occurred with the return of Carrick to the team.
He's not been back long though. If it's still happening in a few games time I'll read more into it and say I'm really just missing something.

Calm down. Keep Costa, he will only be out one week and will make use of some rest before the busy schedule. Wait with ADM untill deadline for news on the injury. Save a hit,and Boyd will get 2 points on average, and that is fair enough.
Unless you do not believe in ADM and Costa and you have 2 superb transfer ins, then splash your cash!
