Newcastle have worries in defence as they head to Burnley. Arsenal have concerns at left-back for the home clash against Southampton, who are set to be without Morgan Schneiderlin. Enner Valencia returns as the Hammers head to the Hawthorns, Yun Suk-Young could be poised to recover for QPR, whilst Stoke have a midfield headache ahead of their visit to Old Trafford.

Wojciech Szczesny remains sidelined for Arsenal’s home clash with Southampton. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal are all doubts, though hopes to have one of the latter two available to feature at left-back.

Morgan Schneiderlin has been ruled out of the Emirates clash and is set for adductor scans. Jack Cork is back for Ronald Koeman’s side, though, after recovering from a weekend illness.

Mark Noble is a doubt for the Hammers’ trip to West Brom later this evening after suffering a recurrence of a calf complaint during the weekend win over Newcastle. Enner Valencia is back in the squad after missing the last two matches though injury, though fellow forward Diafra Sakho is still unavailable. Winston Reid returns after serving a one-match suspension.

Gary Monk has confirmed that Swansea have no new injury worries ahead of the home clash against QPR. Nathan Dyer is set to return to the squad after missing out at the weekend.

Steve Sidwell (knee) could be out for up to six weeks for the Potters, whilst Glenn Whelan is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a calf complaint. Phil Bardsley is back in training after recovering from the illness that forced him to miss the weekend trip to Liverpool.

Newcastle are facing a mounting injury crisis in defence for the trip to Burnley. Alan Pardew is already without Tim Krul and Fabricio Coloccini and is now sweating over the fitness of Mike Williamson, Massadio Haidara and Daryl Janmaat. With Moussa Sissoko and Jack Colback serving one-match suspensions, the Magpie manager has revealed he has included three youth team players in his matchday squad.

Sebastien Pocognoli is a doubt for West Brom after sustaining a dead leg at the weekend. James Morrison is back in training and will be assessed for the visit of West Ham.

Leicester’s David Nugent is set to be assessed after picking up an ankle problem at the weekend. The Foxes boss Nigel Pearson has also confirmed that Dean Hammond is back in training but tonight’s match is set to come too soon.

Harry Redknapp remains optimistic that Yun Suk-Young will recover from the knee knock that forced him off in the weekend win over Leicester. Bobby Zamora could also be in contention – he requires a late fitness test after missing out on Saturday with a back problem.

Mamadou Sakho is back in training for Liverpool but this evening’s trip to Leicester will come too soon. Mario Balotelli is sidelined once again with a groin injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

Arsenal have leftback issues and Chelsea play against Spurs.

Play Clyne or switch to Azpilicueta?

Clyne => Azpli was always the plan, but after already doing Costa => Rooney I tought if I should safe other free transfer.

Then again, I can definetely see Chelsea keeping cs, so might go for Azpli.

Get real.....if you watched the game you'd know that Bayern went to a more defensive formation with ten men. They played 4-4-1 instead of 3-4-3....

yes but they are notorious for struggling against sunderland, a team who'll be on a massive high after the chelsea game... plus aguero doent score many away from home... rooney's a much better choice.

This is the PL anything can happen....people also said that he'd blank against Saints. Nothing is ever certain....Man City are finding form and put three on Saints who have the best defence in the league so far....the game tonight won't be anything like the game Sunderland had against Chelsea....

Austin seems to be in form and their fixtures are quite nice.

Welbeck is slightly less frustrating, altough I'd probably just watch him.

Ings is in form, so short term could be good.

Can't really think of other strikers who could be worth the risk at the moment and fit the budget.

Personally I ditched him, he is extremely wasteful and if you can get some more budget by getting Austin or Ings or even someone like Welbeck it's probably a good move.

I disagree. They`ll struggle if you compare it to the form they`ve had so far, and i`m not so sure they`ll finish 5th/6th. I see a 7-8th finish for them, tops.

    Bertrand/Taylor/Duff/Chester/Hutton

Take a -4 to upgrade defense or keep? Got 2M ITB.

    Guzan
    Ivan/Baines/Naylor
    Alexis/Hazard/Siggy/Downing
    Kane/Austin/Aguero (c)

    Chadli/Bertrand/Duff.

Good as it gets? Think i`ll save FT as i dont see any big upgrades atm.

Meh, too sideways for my liking. Downgrading Bertrand asap and possibly Downing/Chadli right after. I`m with Mark that i see big returns for Ivan coming up. Might even be the 1-0 winner this gw 😉

Anyone fancy Kane , Aguero and Austin up front - frees up a lot of money for the rest of the team!

Haha yeah i did do that ! Mainly because i didn`t fancy Bony/having 3 Swansea players in my team so i went with Kane. To be fair his stats were only inferior to Aguero and Costa for the last games, so i went with that.

No, you'd be stuck with just one armband contender. I think anyone going without Costa is making a big mistake.

Why? He`s bound to have a dip in form, which is on the verge of happening now. And he`s been lucky on a few occasions to not get sent off. With so many mid/low price strikers doing well atm its not a given that you have to have 30m spent on your front line.

Looked at it, but dont see how i would spend the money to improve the team further than already

    Hey guys! How's it hanging?

I'm having a bit of a dilemma in terms of benching... who would you leave on the bench from these?
Currently benching Hutton, but I'm considering benching Boyd and going 4 defender (Chambers my other one)

    A) Boyd (NEW)
    B) Hutton (cry)
    C) Azp (TOT)
    D) Dummett (bur)

      I'd bench Hutton

Go with my first instincts? Hmm. I just have a hard time seeing Boyd in the points, but I should have a look at his actual stats.

He's awful tbh and it's 50/50 between him and Hutton but in reality I see 2 pointers all round.

He is on some set-pieces it seems (Boyd), I think that's about his only hope. It's close yeah.

Morning everyone! I hope you're fantasy football teams are not causing you all as much a headache as mine is currently.

I'm here looking for a little advice. I have Costa, Di Maria, Ox, Duff, Rooney in my squad. You can see my cause for concern right?

      I have picked an 11: -

      Fabianski
      Steven Taylor? (hope he plays)
      Azpi
Smalling (not a bandwagon, I was lucky at weekend!)
      Bertrand
      Siggy
      Sterling
      Cesc
      Ox
      Berahino
      Rooney

Should I just hope they play as I have no bench?

Naylor on 4 yellows and Debuchy coming back soon => No.
Naylor could still work if you have decent back up for next 2 to 3 gw's.

Yeah think I could handle a 1 game ban from Naylor, can't think of better options for 5m and under. Might get Kelly/Robertson next week for Moore.

Hazard has scored in each of his last 3 home games and got 3 bonus each time.

I think hazard WILL score the most points this week (highest expectation over many simulations)
But the variation of agueros returns is higher.

So on a one week basis, it goes to aguero.
Also ownership percentage of aguero is way higher in the top 10k than hazard

Had the armband on Bony all last week then changed it in the morning to Costa. Thinking of putting the armband back on him this week but not sure if that's because I think he will score well or because I missed out last week lol

The last time he scored a goal in two consecutive games he followed it up with 2 in his third game at home as well 🙂

He's just scored a goal in his last two games so will he follow it up with a brace again...

Costa already -25%, looks like he just might drop again tonight (if FPL towers let him).

    Guzan
    Janmaat(!), Chambers, Hutton, ivanovic
    Chadli, Downing, Sanchez, Oscar
    Bony, Kun

    Gilks Staylor Barry Costa

    1FT 0.6 ITB

What to do? Stick with Janmaat and wait or boot him for Naylor,

Id go for Distin or Jagielka instead...more likely to get points over next 6...or get Rangel, he's a good differential and more likely to get attacking points
