Before we draw a line firmly under the first Gameweek, we’ve decided to analyse some individual performances over the weekend. By looking at the Opta stats of Fernando Torres, we can see what his Sunday showing at the Britannia offered in comparison to his average displays for the Blues last term. The same applies to Robin Van Persie- no goals from the Dutchman at St James on Saturday night, but how did his game hold up?

In this first Members article of the active Fantasy season, we also take a look at Victor Moses and Ashley Young’s Man United league debut, weighing up what the pair’s new roles this season have offered so far…

    What do we think to Osman?
    Giving Torres the armband, good choice?

      Osman is a decent shout. De Laet plays for Norwich, please just get simpson.

      Torres for captain is risky, but that is what vice cap is for. I would vice cap Silva, usually a decent reliable score.

      Hold fire on Aguero, one game does not maketh the man.

      One of the best options in the >6 mil bracket. Scored plenty of points and goals last season. Wolves fixtures aren't discouraging (or encouraging either) so maybe a good call.

        Why would you want him when all he cares about is his own ego. It's all about him. When Inter beat Barca it was about him not the club. When Porto beat Utd it was about him not the club. When liverpool beat Chelsea (yay) it was about him being denied not the club. KI just feel that he'sin a long old sulk now because he can't defeat Barca and he's dragging Madrid through the mire because of it. I can't see him lasting beyond this season.

        It looked like the eye alright Bubbles but I couldn't be certain either

      Did he actually poke that Barca coach in the eye or just pull on his ear? It was only a short clip last night (amongst all the other hangbags flying around) so couldn't really tell.

          It was stupid. Marcello chopped Fabregas right in front of the coaches/subs, and got a straight red and then all the players and coaches did their usual pushing each other around, and Mourinho just walked upto one of the Barca coaches and either tried to poke him in the eye or twist his ear (as I said it was only a short clip, so couldn't properly tell) and then just stood there blowing his lips out to him.

        From what I saw, his hand/finger was swirling around a bit so If Mourinho did poke the eye then that Barca coach should only have one eye left.

      I don't like that price point for strikers.

      5.5 for Holt or 7 for Zamora/7.5 for Saha are all much better value IMO.

      Looks like a good team to me. I think I'd have a Fulham player in there though maybe at the expense of Clevers or Ethers.

      Good to see you didn't board the Agueroplane like most others.

      HOWEVER I doubt your rivals in your league will not notice the warning in red writing about the free transfers when logging in or the UNLIMITED on the transfers screen. Good luck anyhow.
