As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

        😛 Atually, just looked at my team and I do like B. gives me 1 m in the bank, and if the worst comes to the worst I can always drop one of the Everton boys. Plan to get Aguero in a couple of weeks anyway.

    As I see it this season regarding price ranges in midfield.

    - Ultimate expensive mid only Lamps, (Gerrard injured, Fabs left)

    - A lot of option in the 9-10m price tag.

    - Lack of possibility in the 7 - 8 m bracket. Toure only IMO for now, maybe N Zog but that is it.

    - Most options in the 6-6.5 price bracket. And I mean a lot, maybe 10 or more viable options. I don't need to state them cause almost certain I am gonna forget some of them.

    - Several options in the 4.5 - 5m price range, Moses only one in the 5.0 for now and decent choices in the 4.5.

    So the conclusion is that I am gonna have 2 big hitters in mid, Lamps being one of them presumably. I think that whole season we will be able to find 2 expensive mid with form and fixtures suitable for our team.

    I am gonna skip the mid range midfielders bracket cause I don't see plenty of options instead of that I am gonna save some cash and will include 2 mids around the 6m cause, I am feeling excited with so much choice.

    The last 5th mid spot is gonna be Moses or some 4,5 mid in order to save cash and depending on the rest of my team and teams covered.

    I saw a lot of teams with 3 big hitters upfront but this is my strategy and I will be extremely happy when I am gonna see some of the mids exploding in one game and the panic around here and the hits flying 🙂 DVD anyone?

    Sorry for the long post but I think it is important to share my opinion on this, especially at the beginning of the season when the cash is limited.

    lamps is the boy for me (albeit a slightly rotund ageing one), especially as he's 3%. yes. THREE PERCENT ownerage lol!

    my only remaining dilemma is do i keep caulker? or get rid of dyer to upgrade caulker to senderos???

      Interesting midfield. Who is Simpson? It's a little bit weak perhaps? Malouda appears to be the only big-hitting middie.

      Suarez & Rooney looked sharp but their fixtures are tough... just saying...

      I really like your team. One of the best I've seen. Drop Hughes or Enrique for cheaper 4.0 and drop Carroll for Suarez and upgrade bent in a few weeks to rvp.
      You've given me food for thought.

    I cant believe aguero now has 25% ownership! if he doesn't score well in the next few games, I can see his price dropping

    also, tevez hasn't left city yet - if no move gets sorted before the transfer deadline and he stays at city, he currently has 1.1 % ownership - possibly the greatest differential of all time (if he stays)
