As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

Listen in and share our pain.

Not atm mate. Tiote too def. Gut no end product. Cabaye unclear FF product, although looks a good player. Barton most promising, but his role is uncertain.

Vuckic or Obertan may be worth a punt as things settle, but not for me yet

Wow some super traffic on here during the day, anyway i think i've nailed it now:

    Given Hilario
A.Cole Kompany Jagielka De Laet Simpson
    Silva N'Zogbia Dyer Moses Hoolahan
    Rooney Torres Saha

*Planning on no changes next week and then for gameweek 4 Rooney&Torres > Aguero&Van Persie........ Sounds like a plan. Please give me a rating out of 10, Thanks alot.

Strong team, was thinking something similar had I not gone for Baines which gives you a stronger midfield.

The only thing I would say would be having Young considering you also have Rooney as well, but I suppose you do have a leverage to swap either for whoever come to fruition in later gameweeks.

If you don't fancy Hoolahan you could also swap Brown for Simpson and get SSinclair but I guess that will limit your defensive options

I would say you need Bent and N'Zogbia, most people would say to go top heavy in reagrds to srikers which you may find difficult to do come gameweek 4 or so when aguero, suarez, rvp and rooney might be scoring

    L.Young

Ivanovic may be fit this GW and he's been mainly played at CB in pre-season. I think Alex is bigger rotation risk than Bosy, who played well and arguably better suits Chelski at home really needing to win.

Alex plays CB and not RB so I don't think they affect each other. Options for RB are Bosingwa, Ivanovic and Ferriea (all of whom were available last week and Bos got the nod.

But the point is, will Ivano play CB? Did in pre-season and wasn't properly fit last weekend. I do think AVB will keep same back four, but there's more chance of Alex dropping for Ivano at CB than Bosy dropping for Ivano at RB. They're my thoughts anyway.

Personally, I've ditched Alex for Bosingwa. But only because I needed the extra 0.5m.

i feel your super heavy in defence, which means you've got to have brunt, jarvis, moses, holt just because they're cheap to to release funds for you big defence. i feel you could do with attacking man city cover too

I have Bos, I will play Bos, but with Hilario in goal I just have a feeling he may go for the "better defensively" Ivanovic at left back, leaving Alex for the centre.

Here is a quick view, considering how important goals may be to BP this year, of how bookies see this week. This is their odds on anytime goalscorers for this weekend, ive listed the top ten in each position.

10-3 Shotton (Stk), 4-1 Ward (Wol) Alex (Che), 5-1 Baines (Eve), 11-2 Huth (Stk) Riise (Ful), 6-1 Kolarov (MC) Clark (AV) Terry (Che) Luiz (Che)

    Midfielders
Evs Cahill (Eve) Lampard (Che), 5-4 Malouda (Che) Kalou (Che), 6-4 Young (MU) Nani (MU) Sinclair (Swa), 7-4 Sessignon (Sun), 15-8 Arshavin (Ars) Walters (Stk)

    Forwards
4-7 Torres (Che) Drogba (Che), 8-11 Rooney (MU), 10-11 Saha (Eve), 4-5 Bent (AV), Evs Anelka (Che), 6-5 Gyan (Sun) RVP (Ars) Beckford (Eve) Aguero (MC) Welbeck (MU) Berbatov (MU)

Planning my bet for the weekend really but hopefully someone can find use from my ramblings.

Yes. Shotton. I dont know why either.

The Hilario situation.... He is probably more of a nailed down starter over the next two fixtures over Bosingwa. Few factors its obviously only short term, but the fixtures are pretty good. People who have Given wont want to loose him longterm and his price could rise, so Hilario as a second keeper does kind of work. Your into Chelseas defence, and in my case you can probably now test Baines over the next three fixtures without sacrificing a strong midfield and attack.

MY thoughts the same. Had Baines anyway but Hilarious is cheaper way into Chelski back four than Bosy, plus have Given too. Team news pending, take my pick of GK.

Problem is both have two great homes in a row, which sort of defeats the object imo. Im considering Hilario and Vorm, as their fixtures will go...

Quite reasonable, Vorm was my Given back-up. Hilarious has really thrown a spanner in the works, but good to have another issue to think over.

      I was thinking the same.

I think it might be a risk.

I have opted for Ya Ya - I think he's good for the money and I invested the cash in 3 big gun strikers as this is where the BPS are supposed to be this year (I think).

Two MC Mids is probably to geared to a single team, especially away to Bolton. I'd take my pick of the pair, and invest elsewhere... Kalou perhaps (leftfield but similar price) depending on the rest of your team.
