How much will Kun's returns be affected by Yaya's absence? Maybe not as much as we think!
Yaya has missed 4 matches - GWs 4, 19, 21 and 22.
Yaya only scored 8 points in the first 6 GWs and was rested for GW4, in which City drew 2-2 at Arsenal and Kun scored.
Yaya only played 15 minutes in GW8 against Spurs, but City won 4-1 with Kun scoring all 4.
Kun missed GW19 through injury, and only played 24 minutes in GW21 in his first match back after injury.
In GW22 we knew that Kun was still not fully match fit, and Arsenal were in inspired form.
GW23 against Chelsea is a tough one, but after that Kun should be scoring for fun again, provided he does not suffer another injury.
City can still score goals without Yaya, provided they are not missing Kun as well, but their defence suffers against the top teams.

Let's be honest here, people are not knee-jerking to double/triple WBA defence on the basis of one game
Pulis took Crystal Palace, one of the worst defences the PL has ever seen and made them into CS magnets. Stoke under Pulis were an excellent source of CS points in every season bar their Europa season.
West Brom have always been good for at least 7 CS in a season since they established themselves as more than 1 season wonders and had 6 before TP, now they have 8. Barring City away in GW30 I can't see one game where I wouldn't feel comfortable playing a WBA defender and Baird at 3.9 is cheap is enough to be 1st defensive sub most weeks and 3rd defender in weeks where you may wish to bench one if your big defenders, assuming WBA don't buy a lb.No need to defend yourself.

Downing should rise before the next GW unless something happens in the FA cup
The only rising faster than 6% per day at the moment are Elia, Costa and Cazorla according to FFF. Downing doesn't look anywhere near rising again. Neither does Aguero at the moment.
It is usually slow in a 2 week GW, moreso in wildcard season. Unless there's a late surge in 10 days time I wouldn't expect any double rises.

I'm sure he'll tighten up wba defence. Just wouldn't put too much store on a clean sheet vs Everton as evidence. They gave us a lot of room on the edge of the box. A team with more bite would've had a goal or two.
The evidence I have is his entire reign at Crystal Palace last season, and the fact he has walked in and got three clean sheets in his first 3 games at WBA.
