This evening, we look back on the nail-biting final and announce the latest winner of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power. We also see who claims the third place play-off prize.

With a Gameweek 24 score of 61, CMIFLFC won a close final against Momalpashands and joins donnellyc, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05, Gribude and myself in our winners hall of fame.

Both our finalists had already played their wildcards but 2,473rd ranked CMIFLFC prevailed thanks to a defence that included Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne and Swansea right-back Kyle Naughton.

Momalpashands, who has an overall rank of 428, was just eight points away but his transfer of Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho in for the injured Arsenal midfielder Alexis Sanchez, as well as a defence that included Manchester United Phil Jones, fell short at the final hurdle.

Congratulatons to CMIFLFC, who wins £100 worth of free bets with Paddy Power as well as a £100 Amazon voucher. As runner-up, Momalpashands wins £50 worth of Paddy Power free bets and a £50 Amazon voucher.

Meanwhile, our third placed play-off was even closer with Bobbyg scoring 61, whilst 241,362nd ranked Harts Hotspurs close behind with 58. Both played their wildcards but despite Harts Hotspurs captaining Harry Kane and fielding Branislav Ivanovic, bobbyg’s more consistent scoring across all positions was enough to give him the edge. Bobbyg also had Swansea’s Naughton – who earned an assist – to thank as he claims the third place play-off price of £50 worth of free bets and a £25 Amazon voucher.

In addition bobbyg, who has an overall rank of 542, and CMIFLC win a further £25 worth of free bets for getting the highest score of the round.

Really? ADM looks a shadow of his early season self and Pellegrini won't make the same mistake if starting Silva out wide again.

True but I think he'll be dropped in behind Aguero this time and dzecko on the bench.

you've summed up half of today's posts. id personally go for ADM. utd woefully out of form and he's looking a shell of his former self. silva, despite playing out wide of late, still has good form and plays for an arguably better team.

    What to do?

    Panti (DDG)
    Baird, PVA, Wisdom (Keane, Bertie)
Cazorla (C), Silva, Hazard(VC) ADM (Puncheon)
    Kane, Giroud, Aguero

    1FT 2.0 ITB

Sanchez? Or replace Bertie? But with who?

    Cheers

ADM to Sanchez if Sanchez is in starting line-up. Otherwise, Clyne for Bertie so you can still pick up Sanchez.

    Kane (liv) or Walters (MCI)

I know this should be a no brainer but still, who to start?

Rest of the attack: Defoe, Aguero, Silva, Sanchez, ADM, Haz

    1FT

    Silva / Haz / Caz / ADM (C) / Johnson

    Ings / Kane / Aguero

If Sanchez starts i will go Silva > Sanchez

If he doesnt start:- A) Ings > Defoe
    B) Save FT & avoid benching dilemma Defoe would provide

Need a defender for £4.3m or less.
Thinking Villa because of fixtures - but question is Vlaar, Okore or Clark? Is Vlaar likely to return and break up the partnership, and if so who'll be dropped?

    Already have Naughton and PVA.

Only other real options are Haidara, Wilson?

sanchez giroud ozil all more or less nailed, esp sanch and ozil for their respective price tags (in EPL terms). giroud as well as he's the only proper CF (none of this welbeck nonsense, sorry welbz but you've failed to convince me). leaves caz and theo fighting for the spots occupied by ozil and sanch.

...all depends on the formation though, whether its a 4-1-4-1, or a 4-2-3-1

Sterling foot injury? Will he start? Cuz I'm thinking PVA is better to start than sterling coming off the bench against spurs

I think all of us who know that you'll get to see the line ups before Tuesdays game should now keep it to ourselves...the more that know, the more chance of the site crashing under the weight of the scramble 😉

So I have decided to draft in a Man City defender..

Whilst their form is awful the fixtures are kind and I expect them to bag a few clean sheets.

The only defender who is assured of gametime is Kompany, especially with the champ league returning soon.

I plan to draft him in but wanted to know if anyone has an argument for another City defender.

    thoughts?

      Why not get Clichy?

      1. The Non Flying Dutchman

I want Clichy due to assist potential. Gametime risk putting me off though.

Clichy is first choice and I expect him to start in champs league which makes me think Kolarov will play in premier league games.
