Well diving isn't as much of a taboo subject in other countries. It's an important part of the game for some, win free kicks, get you opponent booked etc.
However, the PL hasn't really caught on to this mentality (rightly so) but diving is still creeping in nonetheless
FWIW diving/conning the ref was a very South American tactic that moved into the global game with the players and of course teams/nations copying this dark arts play style. La Liga and Serie A have historically had strong SA influences.
Of course decades on its pretty much a global football problem buts its definitely more prominent in certain leagues than others.no, but we have a real issue with the dying swan act as cheating while it's the norm. in South America. Suarez and Maradonna's handballs are another example of "cheating" being viewed differently on both continents
