As the dust settles on a high-scoring Gameweek 22 for many, another Fantasy Premier League deadline comes hurtling into view.
Liverpool v Manchester City is the stand-out fixture of the weekend but it also raises a number of dilemmas for FPL managers. How many of our assets from these two clubs should we start, for kick-off? And are the likes of Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) a no-go when it comes to the captaincy debate?
The front-runner for the armband in Gameweek 23 would, on paper, seem to be Son Heung-min (£9.7m), given that a porous West Bromwich Albion side are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
But with the Lilywhites in poor form and Son blanking in six of his last eight appearances, the decision isn’t as clear-cut as it should be.
And with the news that six teams, including City, will have a double-header in Gameweeks 24 or 25, FPL managers are having to swiftly cobble together a plan for the coming fortnight.
