Big. Huge. Game. It’s here – the Manchester derby, the title decider already billed as the biggest clash in the twenty year history of the Premier League. How’s that for hype? Can tonight’s Etihad clash really measure up? We have our Dugout Discussion chatroom open to catch all the excitement, or lack of, as it unfolds.

The team news perhaps already tells a tale. City, content with their recent outstanding form, go with an unchanged lineup which means no place for Micah Richards who returns to the bench alongside Mario Balotelli, straining at the leash.

Sir Alex Ferguson, perhaps going all out to avoid defeat, shuffles the pack with Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck benched for the experience of Ryan Giggs and the industry of Ji-Sung Park. Phil Jones replaces the loose cannon that is Rafael at right-back, while Chris Smalling is called in to partner Rio Ferdinand. Those reports on Jonny Evans’ injury seemingly checking out, then, as United’s rock in recent weeks is kept sidelined.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'd wait to see if he starts against toon. Suddenly finding form might make him the cup striker, switching with Drogba who becomes the league striker

United have no bite in midfield. You need to go toe to toe with the likes of Yaya and Barry and compete with them physically. Carrick and Scholes are for the possession game. Totally out muscled in the middle of the park. Speaking of Park he is finished. No use to the cause anymore. Nani is a weak individual. Get him sold.

      Yep.

Nani i a good player but if SAF doesn't trust him to play him 90% of the time then what's the point.

They really need a couple of good Midfielders.

      Jones was a liability tonight.

Meh, think United have proven many times that they don't need refs to win games for them. although I know how much you'd hate to believe that because it takes away from the little conspiracies that you so thoroughly enjoy. Rooney is poor, has been all season, this is not new news.

he's still a shoe in for fantasy imo, united will be just as hungry to be at swansea as they were 90 mins ago, same with sunderland..jelly, RVP, Roo best 3 to bring it on home for any league leaders

Of course he's a brilliant fantasy option, United have some penalties saved up that I'm sure Swansea will pay for.

Well deserved by City. Losing an 8 point lead to Wigan and Everton is deserving of a 2nd place finish.

Ferguson v Mancini was f*cking awesome though. Bet Mancini p*ssed his pants!

I'd still want both. But RVP given the choice - captain material this coming week.

for what its worth, i thought fergie made a terrible decision playing Park tonight.

You can't leave someone on the bench for months then throw them on v city, totally unfair.

I think that his lineup came down to seniority in a few positions such as Park's

Fair play to City, clearly the better side on the night. It's worrying how often United have been outplay this season yet these 'young players' still don't seem to be learning from their mistakes.

If City go on to win the title they'll have deserved it as they'll need to beat Newcastle away from home, the only glimmer of hope is City's poor away form but if they don't correct that next week with what's within touching distance they never will.

Right, I'm off to Skrtel's house to put Banana skins everywhere.

I need Kompany's 14 points very, very much.
