    WC'd this week.

Looking like 79 post baps with just Ozil to play. Pretty happy with that.

Just working out what I would have got it I didn't wildcard.....

Would have scored 69-4 = 65 (with Ozil to go)

Plus would have needed to use a transfer this week whereas now I can save (as long as Ozil is OK)

So, is 14 + a FT enough to justify the early WC?

    Just about I reckon.

A WC should be long term thing, not a quick fling. Having said that, you are off to a good start with it.

    Thoughts on this WC draft:

    Szczesny, Mannone
    Coleman, Terry, Koscielny, Hudson, Chester
    Januzaj, Silva, Ramsey, Eriksen, Hazard
    Agüero, Suárez, Negredo

Ah... good question. With the extra 1.8 to play with you could shift Eriksen/Silva to Özil/Navas, now that the latter's bound to get more minutes. But if that feels like doing transfers for the sake of it, you might as well leave it. Looks very nice.

    according to L'equipe:
Out on a stretcher during the victory Man.City Newcastle (0-2), Sunday, Samir Nasri could be the victim of a ligament tear in his left knee. "This is very serious," said his coach, Manuel Pellegrini. The French international could end his season.

After the victory of his players at Newcastle ( 0-2 ), Manuel Pellegrini was obviously asked about the injury Samir Nasri , touched his left knee after a tackle supported Yanga-Mbiwa. "This is very serious" , simply said the Chilean coach, who feared injury "in the ligaments" Yang-Mbiwa. "should have taken a straight red card, he has continued. Especially when you see the severity of the injury. Contrary to what is said, we have not been helped by the referee today. "

Sky Sports already evokes the worst case scenario and a rupture of the cruciate ligaments, which would end the season of French and his hopes of World Cup this summer. Nasri pass exams Monday and will know more about the severity of his injury and the duration of their unavailability.

A retrospective 3 game ban. It'll soon eradicate it.

There was a chance a few years back when UEFA charged Eduardo with diving against Celtic. There was talk that Arsenal brought in solictors and threatened UEFA with action. On appeal they withdrew the charge.

That was the big chance and UEFA blew it.

He is active. End of. Hart can see that the ball is heading towards him so he doesn't know whether to go for the save or wait for Gouffran to attack it. If Gouffran's not there its a whole difference story. Legendary decision

I don't necessarily agree with the rule, but it's about line of sight of the ball.

BTW I think it was ruled out because they thought Gouffran had got a touch of the ball.

Not interfering with play, that's the rules. Should have been a goal.

Right enough? Gouffran was in the six yard box.

I don't know how you can be in the six yard box but not interfering with play.

But that's the rules, daft as though they well be, if it's not affecting gk's line of sight then he's not interfering. I agree with you but that's not the point here.

Technically tough to prove but not in this case, clearly not in line of sight.

                  Perhaps.

I would argue peripheral vision could be affected.

Anyway Gouffrans in the six yard box by virtue of that it affects the decision you'd make as a goalkeeper or defenders with regards to positioning.

I'm not saying Sterling didn't buy it either.

Wilson gave the opportunity to run through on goal by giving it away and committed to a stupid tackle in the box.

We see it every week when the legs touch down you go. He was going know here IMO Wilson was shocking.

I would probably have given a goal. But the rules (particularly the offside one) are open to interpretation, and in this case the referee interpreted that he was interfering with play. His is the only decision that matters either way - he did the right thing in checking with his linesman and from then on ultimately making the decision. As I say, I don't agree with his decision, but it see no clear evidence for criticising him for making it.

There was the clearly bizarre case of a Miralles goal given but Hull ( I think) protesting that Barry was in line of sight. The dubious goals panel awarded the goal to Barry 2 weeks later as they felt it had taken a touch off Barry. So the ref in this case argued that Barry had not been in the gk's line of sight , yet the goal was awarded to him. Go figure.

Thinking about wildcarding this week. I could go from

    Marshall, Speroni
    Dawson, Mert, Coleman, Flanigan, Baker
    Hazard, Yaya, Brunt, Cabaye, Morrison
    Negredo, Lukaku, Suarez

    to this:

    Marshall, Speroni
    KOLAROV, Mert, Coleman, BARDSLEY, WARD
    Hazard, Yaya, JANUZAJ, Cabaye, KI
    Negredo, STURRIDGE/GIROUD, Suarez

Would love to fit Ozil in somewhere but it's tough(Can bring in Ramsey for Cabaye at some stage), that's why i will probably bring in Giroud up front. Kolarov could be a risk, what do people think of it?
