What to do about Super Oscar Babyyyyyyy?
Open ControlsSeems the sensible thing to do. Thanks Beavis.
Open Controls
SELL, sell, sell
Open ControlsWhat is this super Oscar baby shite? It's really annoying
Open Controls
did seem a bit odd the way lukaku didn't celebrate the goal. if i had flicked on for my mate to score and our team to go into the lead i'd be halfway through the macarena by the time anyone else reached mirallas
Open ControlsIs that the stadium in Rio?
Open Controlsyou're having a +1 but i'm not proud of it

Yes….now he's out of my team...

@JKI..as requested..Number one and three on this list of "shots conceded plus some other stats" can be forgiven due to the opposition they faced..Number two is a worryingly large amount considering the opposition...http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/modify/4750/..Marry that up to the top of this table for mids for the last four gameweeks http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/4382/..then add in the fact they are at home, and playing well at home plus an injury to one of their best defenders) and you have my pick for next week based on stats.
Open Controlsfor mids? i want forwards
Open ControlsIt's fine, I took your paramaters but made it for strikers
Think I have my answer
Oh and number 1 on the mids list. Have had him 3 weeks, and plan on starting him next GW 😀Open Controlsgood...top pick this week... All you can do is look at who is on form in terms of shots and creating chances and has the fixtures at home and has an opposition leaking chances...then just hope for a bit of luck with the pick...tick, tick, tick..we'll see
Open Controls
Cabaye leaving newcastle it seems.
Open ControlsWhere is he going?
Open ControlsHe needs his second price rise first
Open ControlsPSG will move quickly, to get him before he rises again. 😀
Open ControlsHe won't go in this window
Open ControlsIt will be PSG or Man united. More likely PSG
Open Controls100% won't be United
Open Controls
Now that I've beaten Christina in our H2H, I can quit FPL.
I mught have to. Especially seeing as my DDG and Carroll punts could prove very stupid.
And the fact that Cabaye may disappear soon.
And the fact that Wilshere may no longer be guaranteed game time.
Still, at least I made it back into the top 100k (99,706).Open ControlsOR updated.

Open ControlsFair comment. None of them are kicking me quite hard enough. I am a fan, though. 🙂
Open Controls
Looks good to me mate. Cahill could be a great pick, if he keeps his place. Not a huge fan of Welbeck tbh Doos, RVP/Rooney back soon?
Open ControlsListen, there has been a request from higher up that every winner of the various h2h's need to get some prize. Maybe a small set of various teabags? Samples?
Anyway, get working on it please.Open ControlsVery nice first 11, iffy bench. Noone/Ki stand out as a 5th mid - when will u play Januzaj? Also he will be rotated lots when Rooney + RVP return.
Caulker - Cardiff allow too many shots and this will get worse under Ole.
Coleman possible injury, I'm sure ur aware ofOpen ControlsThanks, mate. I will play Januzaj quite often. He is hugely better than those two. Coleman - I am waiting for news.
Open Controls
Leaving Adebayor out?
I like the Welbeck pick, I might follow you, United have good fixtures at last.
I doubt Cahill's game time now, Matic in and Luiz will be treated as a CB now, rotation between him and Cahill. JT looks to be nailed on. Ivanovic maybe?Open ControlsIt's crap , you need more hull / west ham / Cardiff in there.
Oh btw I see were down for h2h next week ....Open ControlsI'll take that on advisement, then, shall I? 😉
Open Controls
Why?
Open ControlsI think you have too much money on GKs and not enough up front. Just my views so take them or leave them. I'd find it hard to argue against Suarez, even if you're looking for differentials. I wouldn't be keen on wellbeck either, think there are better players in that range (ade, bony, JRod) that would allow you to upgrade elsewhere. Finally I like the Cahill punt but would be concerned with luiz moving back as Matic comes in.
Open Controls
Downgrade Lloris, Mert, Cabaye and Coleman, and get Suarez.
Open ControlsNo. Silly advice.
Open Controls
It's crap. You need more Goofy.
Open ControlsThanks for response.
Open Controls
A lot of Spurs for a Hammers man. 😉
I like it really and a week to shuffle if you want/need.Open ControlsIt is bloody hard being a Hammer, right now. I hope I keep the captaincy, at least. 🙂

Very strong doos with some decent diffs thrown in.
Open Controls
Silva as differential to Yaya ( i don t have him and I m on WC, 3rd in league, 30 pts behind leader who have Yaya, 2nd one have Yaya too)?
Thanks!Open ControlsHuh?
Open ControlsSoldado
Open ControlsSilva's stats are way better than Yaya's. I dunno though, Yaya has been really good.
Open Controlswhat annoys me about silva is he plays these amazing through balls behind the defence with a winger or fullback running onto it and crossing for the striker to tap in. such great play but no FPL rewards. im keeping him though, surely its a matter of time.
Open ControlsSilva's stats are not better. 😕
Open Controls
ok lads point some key differentials for catching up my ml leader
Open ControlsMirallas will always be a pain but the talent is there and now might be the time where he will start being consistent. Get RVP and Michu when they return and if any noteworthy transfers happen (for example: Mata to ManU) be the first to get them into your team
Open ControlsBony, Eto'o, Benteke, Adam Johnson, Mirallas, Ivanovic, Debuchy,
Open ControlsDavid Silva
Differential Numero UnoOpen ControlsHave a look at your ML leaders team and then choose the differentials. It might turn out he doesn't have the heavily owned players and then they become the differentials for you.
Open Controls
Evening all,
Just wanted to ask the open question:
Does stubbornness from experienced fantasy managers hinder their overall season performance?
Last season I finished a reasonable 40k and I feel I could have finished a lot higher if I had not been so stubborn about getting Saurez in when all my rivals were gathering his points and pulling away from me in the Mini Leagues. I think my quote was something like "I hate Saurez, his attitude and discipline stink, he is a red card waiting to happen".
This season I promised myself I would ignore these illogical stereotypes and misplaced feelings about a given player and get the players who are in form and scoring well, aka, Yaya, Ramsey, Saurez.
This season I'm chuffed about sitting in a lofty 572nd place. Maybe I learned a valuable lesson from last season. Don't get me wrong I'm no "casual", too many hours spent analysing stats for that but sometimes even the best statistician needs to say "sod it, his stats are bad but he's scoring FPL points, better get him in or get left behind!"Open ControlsIts 70% luck and good timing... but having no preconceived notions doesn't hurt.
Open ControlsOf course. 🙂
Open ControlsYa, a lot of proud people on here refusing to get Yaya in. Getting destroyed by him week in week out. There's a silly notion that "real" fpl players shouldn't have him in their team.
Their loss.Open ControlsIs stubbornness in this example not just poor judgement?
For me a key characteristic of a top FPL manager is indentifying a must have player.
Earlier in the season Ramsey was playing like one of the best midfielder in the world. Yaya still is playing like one.
Do the people who refuse to get through so called stubbornness oblivious to how these players are actually performing?Open ControlsFair point, it could well be poor judgement! hadn't thought of that Tony! 😉
Open ControlsI think the top 1k or 10k analyses linked on here are invaluable for me but I think again its down to judgement.
People look at Yayas ownership or Ramsey's and their ridiculously high conversion and say they'll regress and their ownership is so high I'm not getting because I can't make ground. I think that's the wrong way about.
Match were you need to differentiate where you can.
Rankings are so tight a few points gain is all the difference.Open Controls
Hopefully if I say "sod it" and get Yaya on my WC I won't continue doing so badly...
Open Controls
Eugenie Bouchard vs Ana Ivanovic.
2 hotties!Open ControlsEugenie Bouchard hands down!
Open ControlsI love Ana, but you're right 🙂

Open Controls
IF Mata to United happened which one would you make room for
a) Mata
b) Rooney
c) RvPOpen Controlswaited for match to end and people to calm down re: Coleman..feel free to ignore if you're not interested or won't contest any of these with anything more than 'I disagree' 🙂
---
I thought it would go without saying but I guess it needs mentioning..these are NOT steadfast rules that I will be abiding by, just bits of advice that are good to keep in mind on a week to week basis as FPL, just like football, is fraught with emotion and it's easy to get caught up in a whirlwind on a match day and regret your move shortly thereafter..
think about the word TRY appearing before each of these..they are just guidelines after all and CERTAINLY not steadfast rules..
1. Use one free transfer per gameweek tops, do not take hits if you can't justify it logically.
2. Keep a player you've transferred in for at least few matches.
3. A hit should be worthwhile for more than one gameweek.
4. Don't take hits for punts.
5. Don't focus too much on price changes, 4 points is often better than 0.1m.
6. Save vanilla WC for after the Jan WC.
7. Think clearly, don't get caught up in "chasing last week's points".
8. Sleep on a big transfer decision before making it.
9. Try to wait to make your transfers until there are no more games your current players might play before the next PL game. Last thing you want is to bring someone in early and then have to take a hit due to injuries/suspensions from late/midweek games. (i.e. Coleman today..)
10. Focus on nailed on players.
11. Wait for official confirmation from the club before knee-jerking and ditching a good player.
12. Be mindful of the exact price when a player is set to drop as oftentimes that single 0.1m doesn't change your selling price yet.
13. Careful of players linked heavily with moves out of the league during January.
I'm guilty of breaching 9 and 13 by doing Ozil > Cabaye to fund Giroud > Kun 😆Open Controlseasier said than done
Open ControlsI am so weak when it comes to price changes.
In the heat of a rise, I lose my principles and do stupid things. Might be worth me blocking TFPL...Open ControlsOh, and on Özil -> Cabaye, I did this out of fury when he blanked against Fulham. Next day i see the PSG rumours...
Great points though fella. Lots of great adviceOpen Controls
Good you broke 9 and 13 cos if you stuck to all of them you'd be playing this game all wrong! 🙂
Take a punt, gamble on a player for a GW, dont let the big transfer drive you mad for days and ask 50 time in here about it - be decisive and do it! Chase last weeks points and play your WC whenever you like cos no matter what BS people come up with about this season or last season there is no formula...
Then scream at the TV at weekends and lament the transfer you didnt make over a few beers, then go do it all again the nxt wk! 🙂Open Controls
The doctors havent even examined Coleman and the masses are looking for a replacement!
Open ControlsAny if these potential knee jerky transfers worth a hit?
A - Giroud to Adebayor/Eto
B - Silva to Cabaye
C - Coleman to Evra/Rafeal (Have Azpi, Ward, Kosc and Chester)Open Controls2nd..ed

I read this morning that PSG are willing to open talks with Roma's Miralem Pjanic. Such deal could include Pastore.
Cabaye is worried about his gametime if he moves to PSG during this transfer window.
Moreover, yesterday the president of Montpellier confirmed that Cabella will not me moving until june.
I am pretty confident Cabaye is staying and I have already done Ozil to CabayeOpen ControlsNOR are worried about Cabaye's game time too.
Hahahahahaha!Open ControlsBoth bad indicators about this move.
1. If they are shipping out Pastore, it would also mean that Blanc still wants one more midfielder, so that would keep Cabaye on their list. In any event, Cabaye and Pjanic are not that similar players, they do not replace one another.
2. Nicollin said January 3rd, not yesterday, that Cabella moving in January is not foreseen and that at the moment there were no (serious) bids for him either. Yesterday, or I think actually day before that, it was Montpellier's manager who said that at least more money should be involved than what he has read the bid to be. Cabella's father, who is also his agent, said about the same time that Cabella is about to move to Newcastle and it will happen this January.Open Controls1. IMO Cabaye and Pjanic are quite similar, both attacking midfielders in the center. Pjanic played in the hole at Lyon in the past. Pastore could be exchanged if Roma wants a direct replacement to Pjanic. Roma have brought Bastos on loan and also Nainggolan. Roma have now a lot of midfielders that is why the press is reporting that Roma could be open to discuss a move for Pjanic.
2. Concerning Caballa, there is the link in L'Equipe about Nicollin's confirmation that the player will not leave this winter but there is an agreement for this summer
http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Cabella-montpellier-ok-avec-newcasle/433832Open ControlsHave you not seen Cabaye playing? Although he was a playmaker by formation, he has made a career low on midfield, as a tireless ball winner who launches attacks with long passes. Pjanic is a weakling nearly unable to defend at all.
Open ControlsCabaye is originally a defensive midfielder (that was his position at Lille) but he has been playing in the hole at Newcastle recently. He is doing great just behind Remy.
Of course Pjanic is not a defensive mid originally so if you compare Cabaye's current position at Newcastle and Pjanic, they have a similar roleOpen ControlsHe plays in the hole for Newcastle now, but has particularly in Newcastle played a defensive midfielder for all time bar the last few matches. He played in the hole already as a youngster, both for club and country, and scored nicely too.
Even when "defensive" in Lille, he played usually above Mavuba who was the really defensive midfielder, similarly to way he plays above Tioté in Newcastle.Open Controls
Sheet, actually just read very red hot news about this, on independent post below.
Open ControlsNo need to Pjanic guys
I'm here all weekOpen Controls
Okay, no, there was actually nothing new from yesterday, so let's keep it here.
So, Nicollin has indeed confirmed that they have some kind of accord with Newcastle, but that accord does not imply Cabella moving before summer.
It's guessing game now, three options are given by the French press:
1. Accord of principle for a transfer in Summer.
2. Transfer with an immediate loan-back for the rest of the season.
3. Despite Nicollin's obscure message, a simple transfer moving Cabella to Newcastle immediately anyway, because they need him already now.
Nicollin is known to talk a lot of shit, by the way. nobody really knows how this will turn in the end. Better to wait something better.Open ControlsAnd finally, if Pastore is given in exchange for Pjanic, it still means that this deal does not replace the Cabaye deal. Blanc wants to double up every position. He stated that WITH Pastore he has currently 5 midfielders, and he wants 6. If Pastore goes and Pjanic joins, he'll still only have 5. So he would still want one midfielder, and the one that he wants is Cabaye.
Pjanic would indeed be a direct replacement for Pastore, those two are similar players.Open Controls

if Mata joins United, I might replace Silva with him since I have Kun..
Open ControlsHe needs to join 1st.
Probably a 5% chance.Open ControlsWould be one to watch. I rarely get new signings straight in before having a look
Open ControlsUnited desperately need creation up the middle, with RVP and Rooney ahead of him it will be deadly even if our defense still sucks
Open ControlsUnited got kagawa and still can't utilize him properly.
Bet he would be playing in the left wing if he comes.Open ControlsYeah getting the best out of these flair players really isn't DM's strong point.
Open Controlsreally shouldn't put Kagawa in the same sentence as Mata 😉
Mata is proven EPL quality and Kagawa has been inconsistent in the middle and worthless wideOpen ControlsKagawa is quality. Not quite Mata's level but definitely good enough to excel in the Premier League
Open ControlsKagawa has been consistent because he doesn't play in the role where he is more effective. He's plays behind the striker yet he has always been playing on the left just because he's versatile. I still don't get why Kagawa & RvP was bought on the same window where Rooney could play upfront or the no. 10 as well..
United guy as well.. 😉Open Controlsoh I definitely agree. I think he just hasn't been given the run of games with a consistent lineup to gel properly with the team. his best position is in the hole, but Rooney is given that position even though Rooney is a better striker than he is a CAM.
I just think that Kagawa is rendered invisible when he plays out wide.
Fergie really screwed him with inconsistent playing time. it was baffling..remember when he scored a hattie against Norwich and was benched the next game? mind boggling..Open ControlsI though that was the start of him coming out to prove he's one of the best out there but no he is still not good enough for Fergie.
He's our very own version of Mata. A wasted talent sitting on the bench. I just thought the new management would give him the preferred role but it's still a no even without Roo & vP in the squad.
So for me, it's either Kagawa plays with us or just give him back to Dortmund and get Gundogan. I just don't want to see a talented lad sitting on the benchOpen Controls
and you don't pass up quality like RVP if it becomes available. that's quality outweighing necessity.
Open ControlsWell yea he helped us single handed gave us the title to us last season but the thing is Fegie was hesitant to possibly play Kagawa-RvP-Rooney all together. It's tactically possible as we had done it in the past with a strike force of Ronaldo-Tevez-Rooney
Open Controls
I agree could be very good. Silva already is very good though and we know what to expect from him. I'm just saying I'd give Mata a game or two before deciding
Open Controls
Baines....is he worth 7.4?
Open ControlsIt's funny everyone is looking at a Bony punt for next GW, yet no one has considered the reverse. Sweansea haven't looked solid all season and if that link Bemba posted is true things could get worse
Berba anyone?Open ControlsIf I was going for a punt on a striker I think I'd ride the Eto'o wave. Might actually do it.
Open Controlstempting I have to say.
Open Controls
Bony has looked very good recently. Berba doesn't seem to give two shits
Open ControlsThe next fixtures aren't too pretty though
Open Controls
Haha, Neville:
"If you took Paul Pogba, Marco Reus, Luke Shaw and Arturo Vidal - they would fit into Manchester United's philosophy.
"Lucas Moura would and Ilkay Gundogan and Julian Draxler would. They are young players who have still not reached their full potential and have the potential to go on to be world-class players.
"They are good players at the moment and that fits the Manchester United mould of how they have historically signed, more often than not."
Sure, captain obvious, sure the top young prospects already thriving at the top level would fit the philosophy of any club in the world, but the big question is why would they choose ManU over all those other clubs? Why would they actually leave their current clubs for ManU, especially just under the World Cup in which they are about to play significant roles for their respective NT's if things remain as they are?
Would Reus and Gundogan leave Dortmund, one of the biggest club at date with a bright future ahead, for ManU? Why would they? Would Moura change the big wealthy CL-competing PSG for ManU? Why would he? Would Pogba come back to ManU after the way he was treated? Why would he? It is not as if ManU could just pick the best players.
I can see only Shaw and Draxler as players who would potentially move to ManU if no better offers were made.Open ControlsShaw to Chelsea if we approach for him, boyhood Chelsea fan.
Open ControlsMe too! There's got to be more than 2 of us 🙂
Open ControlsNot sure if there are. 😉
Open ControlsThere is. I was talking about Shaw being a boyhood Chelsea fan. That makes us 3. 😉
Open ControlsI thought you meant only him, not yourself. So 3, that's quite good count for a club without history. 😉
Open ControlsWell, I guess a season long history is history too, so technically you're right. 😀
Open Controls
Couldn't agree more. Get your head of your arse Gary. It is over for United. OVER. Pretty sure Reus and Draxler aren't keen for FC Young Boys on a Thursday Channel 5 shift
Open ControlsOuch! That's mean.
Meanwhile, the truth is that it would be quite close to the best case scenario for ManU. As things stand, they're not getting even that, unless you talk about friendly matches.Open Controls
