There’s bad news and good news. Maybe. The bad news is that there’s no ScoutCast scheduled for this week. On the flipside, that’s because we’ve decided to take on a new approach which offers a new way to “enjoy” the weekly get-together with myself, Granville and any guests we persuade/cajole into joining us on air.

The ScoutCast is going live.

From next week we will be using Google Hangouts to stream the ScoutCast recording live. You’ll be able to tune in to the session and have the pleasure of seeing Granville and myself in our humble abodes and you’ll be able to interact live with us, during the recording, with Jonty joining us to fire us your questions and reactions.

If you can’t join us on the night, you’ll be able to download or view the ScoutCast Hangout shortly after the recording and, as usual, we’ll be publishing an edited version, in the usual mp3 format as a podcast, on Thursday evenings.

It will take time for us to adjust to this brave new world. The live stream will expose us, warts and all, to you the listener/viewer, but that’s a risk we’re prepared to take to improve interactivity and take the ScoutCast forward. Besides, with my current rank, I’m at rock bottom with nothing to lose.

Jonty will be setting up Hot Topics and a Twitter hashtag and, when our new live comments system is up and running (it’s looking good by the way), we’ll be embedding the live stream in this and you’ll be able to interact with us in real-time.

As well as Jonty’s return, we’ll be trying to bring in special guests on a weekly basis and we’ve already lined up the first victim for the opening show.

We’ll bring you more details on all this in the days to come and, if you want to be kept in the loop and get involved on the night, we recommend that you follow us on Google+ or Twitter to get the latest news and subscribe to our new YouTube channel, where all our ScoutCasts will be published from here on in.

If all goes to plan, we’ll see you, or rather, you’ll being seeing us, next Wednesday evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Previously the logic behind team section was if the player isn't ruled out we put him in first 11, just for the record. And they will comment that he is injury doubt or so. To be win win. Something like he could be rested or bla bla bla...

Demi is acting like real man. Making the calls. Lav ya lad, keep up the good work..

No Dzeko for City is quite a big call, and may well be right. A reshuffle of the Everton frontline with McGeady and Delboy and no Naismith is similar.

its brave but highly unlikey given never previously been done & he loves barkley but lets wait and see.

i'd rather he be prudent as that page for me is for those who want to make a quick trf and need see if the plyr will play

I have a different take on it. I think that the team news has become too much "speculation". For example, claiming that Dzeko won't start is speculation at best and reckless at worst, if people are basing transfer decisions on it.

I just read this as; Demi hasn't predicted my player to start this week, can't be right!

I haven't mentioned that Dzeko won't start here. http://i.imgur.com/AKEBAPb.png Just a prediction, nothing more and nothing less. If i left Aguero out, it would also be speculation.

I haven't got Dzeko. I am not planning to get him either.

I am just looking at the form of Dzeko and can't see how he would be dropped.

Fair enough. And yeah the forum seems to be split on that. Most fancy Dzeko to start with his form as you've stated. But alot also think Aguero will be straight in for Dzeko. We'll find out on Sunday i guess.

A tad critical, he has to make some prediction, his quote "Sergio Aguero has returned to full training and will be in contention for a starting berth, either alongside Edin Dzeko in a 4-2-2-2 or in place of the Bosnian as the lone striker" leaves it open to people to make their own decision.

Wouldn't like to speculate really until after the Liverpool game, but fancy Silva to start that with perhaps an early bath in the second half. Will be a massive game for both teams for different reasons, and early thought is that Jovetic won't be risked. Can see Navas/Milner perhaps featuring though.

he's coming back from an injury. He commented recently on not been rushed back, as that did'nt help the last time.
There is no way he'll play 70+ minutes in both games. He might only need the 1st 30 mins midweek though and the damage will be done

So looking at next season already, obviously there is a ton of variables yet to factor but have any players already earned a spot in your team for next year? Who do you think will offer good value? Heres a few i think could be great value:

    Eriksen
    Mirallas
    Walcott
    Salah
    Jovetic

Jovetic is a hugely exciting prospect for me.
I expect Eriksen will jump back up to his starting price or higher depending on his end of season form.

I'd add Willian, and McGeady (no Deu).
I also think Barkley and Sterling could see themselves as serious contenders, but expect a hike in price.

Long shot, Lamela - depending on the new manager at Spurs

Value wise - can anyone beat Schurrle? If he keeps developing, oh boy...

          Definitely having Walcott.

Ozil feeding him all, Wally will outscore the rest if he remains fit.

Something about that advanced avg winger position (actually in front of the striker) that is FPL gold..Wally, Bale, Hazard, Snodgrass..it just works...

              So true.

Just thinking Januzaj could well come into the mix from a similar position if Moyes has a shake up. I can see Rooney at CF with Mata at #10, Januzaj in a sort of Hazard role off the left.

      Yeah good list.

Eriksen will depend upon his new manager, he's a great player but a bit lightweight
Mirallas same as the past two seasons
      Walcott top pick
      Salah top pick
      Jovetic...nah
      Bony top pick

          http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/04/10/say-what-gameweek-33/

          About half way down

“We know he (Salah) needs time, we know next season he will be an important player for us. This season, step by step, he’s playing 10 minutes here and there. You can feel the connection between him and the crowd; the crowd like him, they like his style of play. He’s the type of player we need because we have wingers who prefer to play with the ball at their feet, he’s the type of player who prefers the ball into space….The goal was really good but I think a player with his (Willian’s) quality, that gives so much to the team, not just in possession but in the defensive work and balance of the team, I want to see him score more goals. He has to do that in the second season, he has to bring his game into other levels.”

Those who have underperformed and are likely to be much cheaper next season may catch my eye, such as:

        Michu
        Walcott
        RVP
        Baines
        Ozil
        Coutinho
        Ba (if he moves)
        Carroll
        Lamela
        Fellaini
        Swansea defenders.

I think Swansea players will be priced lower because of their poor performance this season though I'm hoping they bounce back from European football better than Newcastle did. Similarly without European football and a poor season Man Utd players could benefit from price drops, whereas Liverpool and perhaps Everton players will suffer the opposite fate.

It can't help his chances. But you're right. I think it's overblown. Aguero is not likely to play as the lone striker with Silva in behind against anyone in the premier league, and Negredo and Dzeko don't play together that much even when Aguero is out.

Its not massive, only about £114mil ish. Had Silva, Yaya, Lukaku and Studge either early doors or at the bottom of their recent price rises and got rid of Haz after just one of his falls this week. Just need to sort the keeper out or stick with Speroni for the season really and doubt I'll be playing Burner again 🙂

Exactly same front 7 as mine if you get Lallana. For the 5th mid you have Mutch and I have Punch and he will be benched everyweek for me.

Thanks man. You going to wait and monitor Aguero before getting him in?

Would you swap Lukaku or Sturridge out for him?

Yeah, waiting on Aguero. Contemplated it for this week, but defending a ML so decided to play safe. Have enough in bank for Studge or Lukaku to Aguero as a straight swap if/when needed.

Boy, I haven't been on here for ages. Going to Anfield on sunday, here's hoping we beat City. Still too scared to say we'll win the league. It almost feels too good to be true. I don't know, it's scary. If we win it or not, I'm one proud Liverpool fan right now. 😀

Enjoy. This is the biggest game of the season. If we don't win, Pool fans will be upset but still upbeat. It's been a great ride either way. Btw, I think Liverpool will win this one but not the league.

Cheers. I think if we win on Sunday, we'd have the mental strength to win it. But then yet again games like Palace away can be potential banana skins. Said the same about Southampton, Cardiff and West Ham! I'm just stuck in two minds right now haha/

I'm not sure. It seemed like a deliberate tactic designed specially to target what RM felt was Arsenal's weak spot, namely, the left back

They play Sunderland next, they have a lot weak spots

Seemed to suit all three attackers to be fair...worryingly it puts Lukaku in the same pot as the wide men and the rotation possibility.

They haven't but they could this week. I think Martinez will rotate, with the other players maybe featuring. Mirallas did start the last game, but Deulofeu had started prior to that. Mainly depends on whether Martinez sticks with Naismith upfront.
